I had a wonderful experience sitting for Vicki and her cute cat, Mavis, in her beautiful home. It was very helpful to meet up with Vicki on the night before her departure. Her friendly neighbourhood was meeting at a local pub for Christmas Eve drinks so I felt privileged to be invited. Vicki very generously left some delicious treats for me to enjoy over the Christmas week. Vicki's communication was excellent and I was given very detailed instructions on how to best care for Mavis and her home. Whilst it took a few days for Mavis to warm to me, he was affectionate and seemed very relaxed around the house with me there. There is plenty to explore around the local area and other nearby communities, only the weather held me back from managing more outdoor activity. I highly recommend Vicki and Mavis' home for an enjoyable sit.
This was an comfortable and elegant sit in the home of Roger and Jane. They were truly wonderful and generous people who I really enjoyed spending time with . We had very interesting conversations at their dining room table. Tink was an sweet dog who made it easy to look after her and loved walks. She liked to sniff about and there were many pleasant paths to walk along. The bus to Guildford was close by . I felt appreciated and welcomed and would love to be invited again.
This was truly a great house/pet sit! Finally, we got the opportunity to spend time with a dog who loves to be taken for walks! Rose is also just the sweetest dog ever and truly gave us not one moment's trouble. Rose's pet parent, Patricia, was equally sweet and so nice to make us a fabulous dinner the first night we were there and a tour of Ingram and Kerrville the next morning before she left. Mike, the caregiver who lives on site, was helpful and funny. Patricia made her guest room and bathroom very inviting and the claw-foot bathtub is adorable. There are plenty of things to do in the area - we chose going to Fredericksburg which is not that far as well as to some gift shops and a restaurant in Kerrville (not to mention several walking places with Rose). We feel lucky to have had the experience of going to Ingram/Kerriville. and highly recommend this sit.
Our family loved taking care of Buster! He is just the sweetest and was so good with all the kids. He loved to snuggle up next to you, play ball, and was super easy to take on walks. He's just the tiniest little thing. Ashley and Bryan had everything in order and were super easy to communicate with. The house is in a great location (close to so many good places to eat!), comfortable and clean with plenty of space for our family of 6. We recommend and would be happy to watch Buster anytime.
Do not be skittish about keeping the cats away from each other. It was actually a very simple process and only took about 2 minutes to swap the cats. Taiga and Tesla we're extremely affectionate and easy to care for. They we're happy to see me when I came home. Daniel's directions in the handbook were easy to follow. The house was warm and welcoming and in a great location.
