Sarah
It was a pleasure house and pet sitting for Sarah and Asa. It is evident that they dearly care for their 3 cats Louie, Zara and Bam Bam.

They left detailed instructions about their cats and apartment.

The apartment is modern, clean and organised with a small balcony. The location is very close to buses, trams and the Balaclava train station.

Each of the cats have their own personality which kept me entertained during my 17 day sit.

Thank you Sarah and Asa for a great stay.

Though I have house/animal sat many, many times as I am self employed as a dog walker/hiker/trainer and house/animal sitter, this was my first house/animal sit on a barter system with trustedhousesitters.com and it couldn’t have been more idea! Firstly, Kate was very easy to communicate with— a very warm and welcoming individual. I drove out to her home and met her family and pets prior to my sit start date. Kate and Mike were extremely kind and personable. Trudy was very weary of my presence at first but with patience and kindness this did greatly improve. Kate and Mike’s home is fabulous with a nice downstairs guest suite wherein I slept comfortably my entire stay. They have a nice hot tub which I really appreciated following my long walks with Trudy. My first day of the sit was all about helping Trudy to find her comfort level with me. Once she reached that, she stayed very close. Trudy is really a very sweet and very well trained dog which made it super easy to keep her happy and safe. Nova the cat was pretty chill- doing her cat thing and made a decision the second night of my stay to sleep with me. :) I really enjoyed my time with Trudy and Nova! As for the area; Kate and Mike’s home is very close to the Ballard Locks in a nice and safe area of Seattle. You can hear the barking of seals and sea lions and calls of the seabirds, and their view from the many windows is really fabulous by day and night! The marina is a short walk from their home as well as Golden Gardens Park wherein Trudy and I spent much of our time. Discovery Park and Carkeek Park are also close and long-off leash walks on the beach at low tide with Trudy was definitely the highlight of my stay! I really enjoyed this sit and if you are lucky enough to be invited for a sit at Kate & Mike’s, you are fortunate indeed!

Elisabeth
Elisabeth's and Irv's cabin in the Brazos is such a peaceful retreat and a perfect spot to meet with family. Riley is a super sweet, gentle companion who made my week's stay there so much more enjoyable with his eager, fun-loving attitude. Communication with Elisabeth and Irv was easy, helpful and consistent both before and throughout my stay. If you're looking for a refreshing departure from the city, the clean air, furry companion, and beautiful backdrop of the Brazos will fill your soul.

This was a great sit. Luna is very sweet and very easy to take care of. She loves spending some time outside and eating whenever she wants. She is also super sweet and loves cuddling up in the bed when she’s inside. Elese’s space is absolutely beautiful and peaceful and communicating with Elese felt the same. I would sit Luna again any time.

Hazel
Hazel and Dennis are very hospitable and made us feel welcome. They were organised and left comprehensive information about Spike and Missy Moo and the house. They have a beautiful home and it was a pleasure to take care of their home and to get to know the area. Spike is a little shy and the petsit was short so we didn't have enough time to get to know him better. The weather was hot and sunny and Spike spent a lot of time outdoors. He did come inside and have some lap time and has an incredibly loud purr. Missy Moo is less shy so we enjoyed strokes and cuddles a little more with her. Thoroughly enjoyed the sit and would happily return for a longer sit.

Lucy
Lucy and Jurgs are a lovely couple who made us very welcome in their home. We were able to meet them beforehand and their kitties, Jaffa Cake and O’Malley were a delight to care for. Jaffy enjoyed snuggling up on the sofa while O’Malley loved his tummy rubs. We had a good correspondence, back and forth, with Lucy beforehand and she and Jurgs left very helpful notes and sent videos to make sure we were well informed on the kitties and things to do in the neighbourhood as we love being in Wimbledon. It was much appreciated. They are great people and we wish them all the best for the future!
