Dog Sitters in Eden Mills

So happy to have found Derrick & Donna for our pet sit! They were easy and quick to communicate with, kept the best care of our home, and gave our pups all the love and attention they required. 100% would recommend for any sit!

Brittany took excellent care of our pets during the two weeks we were away. She ensured Nuggett received his medication and asked questions when she was unsure about medication amounts. She also took good care of SweetPea the lovebird and Minky the cat. Nuggett had an upset tummy at the start of our trip and I felt badly but Brittany worked through it with kindness and did her best to clean the area where he was ill. She shared some photos and videos of her stay, and only checked in when there was an issue or question (and responded quickly if we reached out). Brittany made the effort to do a video chat before the stay as well as an in person visit, which helped with making everyone feel comfortable. I would recommend Brittany for anyone looking for a pet/house sitter and would have her back again anytime.

This was a wonderful family!!! The cats are both rescues and can be skittish. They sent photos of them completely relaxed and happy. Our house was in perfect order and sparkling clean. I highly recommend Joan and her family. It’s always important for us that our sitters enjoy themselves as it makes for a great sit for pets and people. If they are available… book them quickly 😊

I really wanted to leave a five star review as I have with every other sitter we've had, as Miriam was very lovely and said she loved our dogs. But the lost house key was a big issue for us. I'll start with the positives: -I had a great first chat with Miriam and was happy to have her at the house; she was pleasant and very flexible to change her arrival by a day when I messed up the dates, so I was grateful for that -She said she regularly took our dogs to the off leash park (which they love) -She left the kitchen and most of the house tidy -The plants were all in good shape -The cat was happy and healthy Less positive: -She lost our house key and seemed a bit cavalier about it; she didn't offer to pay for a replacement key or pay for rekeying the locks (which I now need to do) -She didn't communicate much during the whole sit unless I reached out; I never heard anything about the cat, and I didn't find out until days after that our 8mo puppy had been left unsupervised and uncrated for hours and had eaten an entire tin of liver treats; luckily she didn't get into something more dangerous/toxic -Our dogs were unusually starving when we got home, with both eating multiple servings of food that night (very weird for both of them as they are not big eaters) -There was feces in one toilet that had very likely been there for days; I had to scrub the toilet multiple times -The dirty bed linens were tossed on our bathroom floor -There were many bags of dog poop piled in our front garden -There were two dried puppy pee stains on one dog bed and one on the front door mat (either missed or ignored?) -Almost nothing on the zeewoi post-sit cleaning checklist had been done (I certainly don't expect a professionally cleaned home, but I always hope it to be as clean as I left it) As we've had many great sits previously, this was quite a departure from our normal zeewoi experience. And I'm guessing Miriam was likely overwhelmed with three dogs, as she also had her own puppy with her. But the loss of the house key and unusual intense hunger in both dogs were especially unsettling for us.

Chloe and Patrick were so amazing with our animals! The house was spotless! We could barely tell anyone had been here! The animals were happy, and so were we. Communication with Chloe was easy and would highly recommend them for anyone’s sit!

We would recommend Gabrielle wholeheartedly. She is very self sufficient, kept our flat immaculate, and took good care of our older dog (no trouble following our instructions on medications). When we got back he was relaxed and not showing any of the signs of soreness he tends to show when he’s been stressed. We can only assume he had a very nice week! Gabrielle also took time out of her trip to Edinburgh to meet Marco in advance of her stay. She’s a lovely person.

Trish was the perfect dog sitter, she arrived on time and we left confident Ben was in good hands. Trish sent us plenty of pictures to keep us updated and I’m sure Ben was sad to see her go. Thanks Trish and take care…

We have been using zeewoi for a few years now and have lots of experience with the App and sitter selection process. In 2021 we moved to rural northern Ontario and in the fall of 2022 we moved into our new home. We jumped back into the world of zeewoi in 2023 wondering how we would do attracting sitters to our somewhat secluded location. We need not have worried! This summer marked our third posting and first summer posting for our new home, It was a pretty short notice listing and we were not expecting a taker for that reason. With just over a week to go an application came in that had me super excited. Jennifer and Ken seemed like a perfect fit for our home. I was eager to chat with them but I was travelling and not free to connect. Jennifer and Ken were fast and accommodating communicators to set up and then reschedule our video chat as I got home later than anticipated. Once we had that chat I knew that I was right to be excited and offered them the sit right away. Ken and Jennifer bring a wide range of experience that makes them an amazing fit for rural sits. They are concise effective communicators and were very easy to work with to confirm the sit and arrange the fine details. On arrival the dogs took to them immediately. I was able to leave the next morning knowing the dogs and chickens were going to be in very good hands. I got regular updates on how the things were going and it was easy to see how happy the dogs were hanging out with Jennifer and Ken. They also jumped right into chicken care, feeding and watering our fast growing “chicks”. One of the attractions of our property is our forest trail. It can come with challenges though in adverse weather. While we were away there was a high wind event that brought down a few trees and branches. Ken and Jennifer messaged asking about saws and axes and cleared off the trail and our vegetable garden area, going well above and beyond what I would have expected anyone to do. On my return home the house was spotless. The dogs were very very content which tells us how much they enjoyed spending time with Jennifer and Ken. The chickens were also well looked after. We would be happy to have Ken and Jennifer back anytime for another sit. If you are lucky enough to have them apply to look after your home and critters, I highly recommend that you jump on the chance to have them sit for you.

Sarah is unbelievable! She was super kind, communicative, and loving with my pets. When I came home my house was spotless. She’s a true treasure!

Naomi was great, highly recommend!

I don’t know how Amy could have been more accommodating to us and nice to Molly. She is a superstar and we have already invited her back to sit for us in January in Orlando! Amy is thoughtful, insightful, intelligent, caring, and very attentive to Molly. I think that Molly was very disappointed when we came home having been treated so well for so long by Amy. Molly is a west highland terrier and we were away for 10 days. we have tons of experience with TH, having had over 20 sitters for us, and Amy is one of the wonderful sitters that we have had. She made us a meal when we came home, she sent us pictures on a daily basis, she clearly asked About Molly‘s care and meaningful ways before we left and gave all of her attention to her. We had the pleasure of meeting her mom, Betty who is a hoot and would be welcome in any house! Our house with spotless when we came home. Everything we asked of Amy she did for us and we so appreciated her loving care for Molly. thank you so much to Amy and we will always remember the wonderful care that you gave to our Molly. If you ever have a chance to ask Amy to come for a sit, you should jump at the chance. Friends for life!!

Melanie recently took care of our pets and house when we were away. She was fantastic. She kept us updated with photos and messages. When we returned home, our pets were happy and our home was spotless. I’d highly recommend Melanie for anyone needing a reliable pet sitter.
