We had a wonderful time at Ricki's place. Bowie is such an adorable and friendly dog. We suspect that he has a brown and a white sibling in the building, so keep your eyes out for them. The location is also fantastic. It's a 5 minutes walk to the heart of Canberra Civic , with supermarkets, coffee shops, fine dining outlets as well as a range of Braddon bars and pubs within 2 blocks. In the very worse case scenario, you can order Macca and get it from downstairs. Ricki and her partner Chris are also generous and appreciative hosts, and we enjoyed our stay so very much. Thank you!
Jonathan and I had a wonderful time watching Gracie and Gretchen in Seattle Washington. Cheryl and her family made it very comfortable to housesit for them by showing us around, growing over the pups daily routine, and keeping in contact with us. It was a pleasure to stay in their home at the heart of the university district. There are so many things to see and do close by. Our walks with the dogs were always an adventure between all the gorgeous trees, trails, free book stops, and other pups out on their walks. I would highly recommend this house sit!
Amanda & Andrew were extremely welcoming, kind, and easy to communicate with. They made sure that we had everything we needed for a very successful sit, such as a detailed written instructions, a thorough welcome guide with local tips, were very easy to get in touch with when we had questions. And, of course, they gave us a fantastic introduction to our favorite dogs we've had the pleasure of taking care of, Pippa and Bert! Dogs have different personalities, and we enjoyed spending time with them playing and taking walks. For example, Bert was a very playful dog who liked to curl up next to us at night or sit with us while we were at home working or watching TV. In contrast, Pippa was a more calm and gentle dog.
Superb experience! Gorgeous and comfy house in peaceful countryside with woodlands, farms, and hills just at the doorstep, adorable pets to look after, and a caring host. I felt warmly welcomed by Jeremy and his family, who left a thoroughly explained welcome guide, maps of hiking routes, as well as some food and wine. What I enjoy the most were my morning walks with Alfie and Tilly (particularly through North Downs Way), and being cocooned with the dogs in the living room, warmed by the fireplace, and resting in the deep quiet atmosphere. It was such a joy to wake up every day and be in the company of Alfie, Tilly and Toby, discovering their personalities as we bonded. Alfie chased me around the house and would always come back to check on me during our walks, like a bodyguard. Tilly and Toby would sleep most of the time, occasionally approaching me to claim attention. Though Alfie is fairly older than Tilly, he seemed to be more energetic. Everything was super organized and I had all the amenities needed to feel comfortable, safe, and cozy. Overall, I'm deeply grateful this was my first housesit and, if having a chance, I'd love to return.
It was such a pleasure caring for RT. A loveable young fellow who enjoyed his long walks, playing ball and most of all cuddles on the couch. He practically sat on my lap while I was reading my book. Julie-Ann and Bob made me feel very welcome when I arrived the day before they left for their holiday. Their home is light and spacious with a nice private garden and easy to keep clean. I have no problem recommending any future house sitters to come and care for RT. I thoroughly enjoyed my time with him.
Suzy and James have been the best hosts. Two genuinely amazing and caring people who were incredibly thoughtful in sharing their home with us. Bonnie and Booshka are really fun and dynamic cats who are super easy going. It’s been a pleasure playing with them and interacting with the gifts they brought us while we were there. Haha. Their home is very comfortable and the proximity to Oxford is perfect. The use of their bikes was a really nice touch and w head a great couple of weeks overall. Again, Suzy and James were amazing so if you have a chance to sit for them we’d recommend you go for it!
