Wonderful sit, beautiful house and casita, location is very convenient to town, and little Soda Pop is a wonderful companion and easy to care for. The cats are also easy to care for, they are all outside cats, and need simple feeding and fresh water every day. Maria and Ken welcomed me and stayed in touch during their trip. Everything was fantastic!
Gab, Ben and especially Elvis were great. I got a few tasty treats left out for me as well as a great rundown in person and through the welcome pack for the stay. The house is amazing, clean and comfortable and I had a great time chilling with Elvis. Would definitely sit with this fam again!
This home is in a beautiful part of Ohio and well supplied with everything you and the pets could possibly need. The dogs are well trained and a lot of fun to spend time with. Monty is more sensitive and needs extra attention. He is super sweet! Baxter is more like a retired beat cop, gruff with a low tolerance for any nonsense. He is a very efficient communicator. The cat mostly keeps to herself, but she’s easy to care for. The house comes with thorough instructions for everything, something I really appreciated. It was all so simple and well-organized. I practiced my Beaglish and got better by the end of my stay. :) The home and property are beautiful and so peaceful. It was the perfect place to wrap up final exams and relax, enjoy the beauty, and hang out with 3 benevolent furballs. The house and interior air are also super clean. Neighbors are friendly and the neighborhood is very safe for walking the dogs. If you ever get stumped and don’t what the dogs need, the beagle will tell you.
Luna was a wonderful dog to sit. She was pretty shy to begin with but warmed up after taking walks together and of course a treat or two never hurts in building the bond. Blaire set up a time to meet Luna in advance which was so nice. She showed me where everything was located and it was all written down. The neighborhood was quiet and the weather in Durham was beautiful. I would definitely sit with Luna again!
Emma & John were really welcoming and generous - making us feel very much at home in their absence. Their home is modern, comfortable and spacious with all the mod cons you could need... including a hot tub which we took full advantage of and enjoyed very much - thanks guys! Their home is located in the beautiful area of Runswick bay and we very much enjoyed cliffside runs, walks down to the bay (though be warned it's hard work getting back up!) and sampling the local watering holes. Supermarkets and local shops are a short driving distance as are Whitby, beautiful seaside spots and the Yorkshire Moors - this really is a special area and reason enough to sit for them if you are lucky to get the opportunity :) As for Molly & Ella, they were a joy to look after. Being house cats, they were round plenty to keep us company. Ella was happy in her own company a lot of the time (missing John we think!) but Molly was quite the playful character and loved her snuggles. If you are a cat lover you will have an amazing time with these two stunning Bermese sisters. They are very low maintenance which gives you plenty time to explore the lovely area! We had regular contact with Emma & John, updating them on the girls and hearing about their wonderful trip. We really enjoyed the time spent in their home and getting to know them and the girls. We highly recommend this sit and would love to return if the oportunity presented itself. Thanks again guys for welcoming us into your home (and sorry for the delay in giving you feedback!).
