This was the second time we used the Sewickley location for our Bug. He is a nervous cat with strangers and their professionalism and kindness to both Bug and us was so much appreciated. The facility was clean and bright, they didn't mind us calling to check on him while we were away, and within 5 minutes of returning home, he was back to relaxing on the couch with us. Thank you Jen and staff for caring for our love Bug!

I can't say enough wonderful things about the Pittsburgh Paws Resort! My 15 year old Havanese recently passed. I had used the kennel for almost the entirety of his life and it was such a positive experience! Leo was well cared for and the staff went out of their way to give him attention. From easy online reservations to communicating with the staff about a change in Leo's food or meds, I knew he was in good hands. Jen, the kennel owner, definitely knows what she's doing with running a kennel. I never hesitated to board Leo at Pittsburgh Paws!

We have taken our dog Penny here many times over the years while we went out of town or had busy weekends where we’d be unable to give her the attention she deserves. I love how easy it is to book her stay online, and communication is always top notch. During one of her more recent stays, Penny wasn’t behaving normally, and I was alerted to the issue immediately. We were fortunately returning the next day, and during the time between Paws kept us in the loop every step of the way. Fortunately P was just a bit stressed and back to herself in a few days. Jen (the owner) and I chatted about accommodations we could make during her next visit, and during her most recent stay our girl had a fabulous time. The staff even sent me a text during our vacation just to give me peace of mind that she was doing well. It’s also comforting that the employees generally remain unchanged at each of our visits. That’s always a detail as a client I pay attention to. Can’t say enough good things about P’s home away from home.

Our old daycare/boarding site closed, and we were referred here by a friend. From booking, the staff has been so helpful and kind, and the response time has been very quick. Our dog loved daycare here, and we feel so relieved knowing he’ll be here for boarding when we need it. We already love it Editing to add: our dog stayed here through the Thanksgiving holiday, and I genuinely cannot recommend this place enough. The staff is amazing, we got pictures from them frequently, and they even did a special Thanksgiving dinner for the dogs! Dogs are like family and we are so happy we found a place we love and trust with our pup!

Special shout out to Mike and Pittsburgh Paws ! Our girl “Gilly” spent one day at daycare and a few days following stayed for five days and nights. Mike was incredibly kind and took extra special care as I was quite nervous about leaving her. Gilly had never been at a daycare let alone boarded, we had been with her pretty much 24/7 since getting her last May. Mike put me at ease and I am forever grateful. Gilly was taken great care of and surrounded by new furry friends as well as great staff. Thank you all so much !

I can not say enough good things about Jen and her awesome staff at Pittsburgh Paws Pet Resort Sewickley. I was a bit nervous taking my 5 month old puppy to a doggie daycare but it feels like I’m dropping Finn off with family!! After Finn’s first visit he was so happy! Then when he came back a few days later for his second visit, we were greeted with “Hey Finn! You’re back, we’re so happy to see you!” They remembered his name and showered him with love! My heart was full! They go above and beyond for our four legged family members!! I go to work knowing Finn is in an safe and amazing place filled with fun, love and friendship!

Really like this place a lot…. Me and my girlfriend have taken our dog here for years and the staff is always nice, friendly, and treats our dog well.

Just another prejudice sdaycaee discriminating against certain breeds. I guarantee beagles and chihuahuas would not be held accountable for playing a little too much/rough the way a pit bull or Rottweiler would. They don’t seem to have the experience in these breeds. Girl at front could hardly walk large dog. Also facility doesn’t seem that nice compared to others in the area.

Great place! I was a little nervous leaving my newly adopted cat there. He needed medicine twice a day so I had to board him for a week while I was on vacation. No need to be nervous. They told me how they did it and my cat was perfectly fine. Thank you so much for taking good care of my cat! And your location is very convenient to I 79! A definite plus!

Our new young dog spent a week here is boarding and training because our usual pet sitter and the dog weren’t comfortable enough with each other for the sitter to get her into the crate or out for a walk. Dan, Amanda and Michael did amazing work teaching her “stay,” loose leash walking and “leave it.” Most importantly they and the kennel staff worked with our pup to make her comfortable and happy with handlers she didn’t know. They were also patient and supportive with me, the nervous owner who hadn’t kenneled a dog for at least 15 years. Anytime I called, they were knowledgeable about our dog’s progress. It’s clear to me that care a lot about their clients and their owners. We will definitely use their services again and recommend them to friends. Thanks to Dan, Amanda, and Michael, the trainers, and the kennel owners and staff who put our puppy at ease!

Was a last minute boarding and it couldn't have been better! Did an unannounced walk in tour of the facility and it was spotless... Loved the place and would definitely keep bringing my dog here for future boardings...

Zion loves her teacher so much!! Me and Zion have been learning a lot from him!! Thanks Dan!! You Rock!! Zion passed her CGC test and now she is taking “Therapy Dog” private sessions!! We are so excited for the great experience we have had and we will have with Parkway Pet Lodge training center!!

They took great care of Ecto! We feel better knowing someone is there later in the day if needed. Most facilities will leave after 6pm and not come back for 12 hours. We loved that they offer tours without notice so you can see how they actually run the facility.

This place has really grown. The grounds are clean and well kept. Our dog does not go or come home very happy from here, which is concerning. But he seems cared for.

Just Phenomenal. This was Max’s first time at a kennel and I was worried sick he’d be unhappy. Let’s just say- he was far from unhappy! I loved hearing how his day went and getting happy pictures of him every afternoon! I will 100% be using parkway lodge again! Knowing my pup was in great hands made our vacation the best it could be. Thank you so much!

We took our rescue puppy Penny here for training. She was a difficult student, but the staff was exceptionally patient and kind. The format is great for puppies (and come on, it's also so cute!!) Highly recommend!

At other boarding facilities, my dog would put up a fight when getting out of the car, but with Parkway, he jumps out with no issue. This tells me they are doing things right for him, and I am so thankful I found this place!

We love The Bark Barn. We use them most times if/when we go out of town. As a matter of fact we’re dropping the kids off tomorrow. It’s truly remarkable how excited both of our dogs act when they know they’re on their way. The are so happy to see Beth, Jamie, Jen and the entire staff upon arrival. It’s just the right speed for our pups. They don’t need the all day daycare of Jen’s other place Pittsburgh Paws Pet Resort. So this perfectly fits the bills. I joke it’s like the retirement home for puppets in the rolling hill of Sewickley! I’ll attach a few pics and vids of our happy puppers (NOTE: only the videos are from The Bark Barn property)! Thanks to all at the Bark Barn for keeping them smiling!

Piper had a wonderful time at the bark barn. The employee at the front desk was so calm and wonderful that our usual crazy pup was relaxed and ready for her overnight stay. They were also incredibly accommodating to my weird schedule that changed our dates more than once. Thank you!

For years, I boarded my Havanese at the Pittsburgh Paws Resort which is run by Jennifer DeSalvo, the same owner as the Bark Barn. When Leo was in his senior years, Jen and I discussed the benefits of boarding Leo at the Bark Barn instead since Leo no longer enjoyed mingling with other dogs and had less energy. The Bark Barn was the perfect solution! Leo had his own indoor/outdoor space, as well as outside playtime. The staff at the Bark Barn is fantastic and so caring! It was great seeing Leo get excited when he saw the kennel. Kudos to Jen and her staff!

My boys love The Bark Barn! The facility and staff are amazing. I was hesitant to change facilities when my “regular” place was booked up, but The Bark Barn got me in without issue. They took great care of my energetic hounds, and they even provided me with updates when I asked. The boys were both sleepy and happy when I picked them up - the sign of a good stay! I look forward to bringing them back for other daycare and boarding needs.

My dog baxter is always happy to arrive and happy when I have picked him up. They show that they care for their boarders and we go no where else for our pup.

My pups, Durga and Deku, were living their best lives. Each kennel had its own outdoor run, and they got to romp around in a huge fenced-in field. But let me tell you about the real magic—Jen, the owner. She’s like a dog whisperer mixed with Mary Poppins. She sat with Durga and Deku in their kennels, making them feel so at home that now my English Mastiff prefers her over me. Seriously, he barely acknowledges me anymore. I’m pretty sure he’s planning to pack his bags and move into the Bark Barn permanently. If you want your dogs to have an amazing time and possibly find a new favorite human, The Bark Barn is the place. Just be prepared for your pups to love Jen more than you!

The staff and owners were friendly and very nice. It was my first time boarding my dog with them and they put my mind at ease and made me feel comfortable leaving her for the week. She looks great after her bath and she obviously loved it there. I really value and appreciate the individual care they provide....I highly recommend this facility.

My boys are staying with them for the first time this week. No doubt in my mind that they will be well taken care of. They have been there a few times for daycare and absolutely loved it AND slept all night which was amazing! Linda is so accommodating and super helpful. So glad to have found them.

First time using The Kennel so was a bit nervous. I went a week ahead unannounced to see if I could “check it out”. Linda and the staff allowed me right in back with no hesitation. I was able to view the kennels and the grounds. Fast forward after picking Toby up and he looked great! Thanks for taking care of him!

My boys must have enjoyed themselves they saw us and was happy but didnt leave with out going back to office to see the ladies. The people were very great to deal with they let us know if there was any issues and let us know what our puppies did while we were gone.

My two high spirited Aussies visited for the first time in Nov 2024. They were very wound up when I dropped them off & I was extremely nervous to leave them. I returned to pick them up after four hours and found them happily playing with the entire group of six dogs in the outside room. It brought me such comfort! Can’t wait to give them a sleepover! ~Happy Fur mama

Had a wonderful experience with Sam the groomer. She was polite, kind and was very flexible with my appointment time Louisa looks wonderful! We will definitely be back as clients!

We just had our first stay here. Our dog has sensitive skin and developed a hot spot that became infected, but the team here was on top of everything. They knew when to seek care, they gave us updates, and even checked up on our boy a week after our stay. We truly felt like they cared and that they did everything to help him out. Definitely recommend. All the staff was great! We will definitely be back!

We had a great grooming experience with Sam! I had a full groom done on my senior Golden Retriever, and our puppy got his first nail trim. Communication was great, and the boys came out looking amazing and so very happy! Highly recommended! ❤️

Sam did a great job grooming my 3 month old golden retriever for the first time. She was patient and found a way to help him feel relaxed during the grooming process!

Our 8 month old pup loved her time at her very first doggie daycare! The staff was very communicative and posted pictures of our girl on their social media which made me feel as ease knowing she was having so much fun!

A terrific experience with Sam. She was so personable and very sweet with my four dogs. Not only do they look great, they smell great! I wholeheartedly recommend anyone who has a dog in need of a bit of grooming love to make an appointment with Sam at Friendly Paws Pet Resort, LLC.

We’ve used Friendly Paws since ( close to) their opening. We’ve always been happy with their services. So are Samson and Delilah.

Finally a doggy daycare that my dog likes. She's excited to get out of the car (instead of trying to get back in like she does at other popular daycares). The staff is super friendly. Knew which one was my dog from the first visit.

My girl, Molly doesn’t travel well in the car & I had to board her while on vacation. It broke my heart. She’s 3 & the 1st time we’ve left her. The staff was great with her. I checked in several times that week & they gave me honest feedback. (She was a bit upset we left her.) They helped Molly adjust without having her family & gave her extra attention to ease her transition. I cannot thank them enough for taking care of my baby! I highly recommend Friendly Paws & will def use them in the future.

Competitive prices, hours are good and the people there are just great with my dog. She loves it there, it's like a little vacation when I take her over for a weekend or few days when I'm going to be out of the house too long to leave her alone. They have always been great with any concerns or anything going on with my dog and communicate very well. I live nearby so that's easy for me, location is great, just off the Warredale exit of 79 and not far from the Wexford exit also. They also offer in home services, and recently got a groomer there with her own hours. If you are looking for a place for your pet, check them out, they have been really great for my dog.

PLEASE READ !! ** We took our chocolate lab puppy here twice to board. This second visit is one I wish I could undo. Our dog came home limping on his back left paw, you can see some marks on this paw in the attached image. Furthermore, his pee upon arrival home was extremely dark as if he had not been given water for quite some time and was scarfing down his food which is highly abnormal for him. When I called and questioned the woman on the phone and asked when the last time he was fed and given water, she initially said "this morning" and then started jumbling her words together and changing her story. Mind you, it was nearly 5:30 PM when we picked him up. Lastly, the man that brought our dog out to us at the front desk was hoisting our dog up by his collar to walk him as he was visibly struggling to breathe and coughing. Meanwhile the leash we brought was in his other hand serving apparently no purpose. I'm wondering, if that's how they treat our dog in front of us, what is going on behind closed doors ?? A day after dropping our dog off, I called and asked if he could be bathed due to the smell and dirt from the last time we took him here. The woman replied by saying that was an impossible task due to his high energy. My dog and I both weigh roughly 100 pounds and I can bathe him here at home with no problem. So I'm wondering how a dog place such as this one is unable to perform such a simple task. Overall, I would not recommend this place to anyone who considers their dog more than just a wild animal. Be prepared for an outdated and very dirty location, not to mention the lack of care from the owners and staff. We recently moved here and I can assure you this will not be the location where our dog is cared for, I would rather drive the 45 minutes to our old kennel any day before taking him back here. Highly disappointed and still wondering what went on in the few days we were gone.

Dropped two Golden Retrievers off over the Christmas Holidays. My wife and I found the owners thoughtful and conscientious, and the were well cared for. We even picked them up a day early due to a change in travel plans without issue.

Amazing!!! As a new dog owner, I’m was not comfortable leaving my dog anywhere. However, that is not my issue anymore! When I dropped off my dog I noticed the dog kennels are extremely clean and well kept. The owner is professional and very knowledgeable about all animals in general. It made my family feel comfortable to know that our baby was in good hands! Will use them again and again!

The staff Donna Dave and Michael have been taking excellent care of my dogs through out the years. They provide excellent care in a friendly clean environment. They understand missing your pet too. The dogs enjoy their vacation at Rustic Ridge ...tails wag upon our arrival. A professional animal provider will call should a concern arise and take the pet to the vet. if necessary; all while keeping you up dated. The best for my pet.

The runs are basic and allow the dogs access to the outside when the door is lifted. They offer extra services, including 30 minutes of playtime each day. I asked for the additional playtime when I dropped my dog off for a week long stay but she didn't receive it, she also seemed more stressed when I picked her up than when she stayed at other kennels. The price us reasonable but I'll look elsewhere next time I need to board my dog.

I have brought all my dogs here throughout the years and I will continue as needed. Can’t beat the price! My dogs love to go in and out all the time and that’s what they got, with the door they go as they wanted. I feel it is very clean and staff was professional and personable. I drive a little further as I have moved, but this is my dogs vacation resort!

We have been boarding our dogs with Rustic Ridge since 1980. The owners have been wonderfull to deal with. My dogs have been exited to arrive, greeting whoever is in the office. They have always come home in very good condition and, obviously, well fed. The kennels are spacious, with both indoor and outdoor space.

We've been taking our dog here for years. It's run by a wonderful family who truly enjoys my dog. I feel like they take great care of him.

We have been taking our dog(s) to canine cabins for years. They are by far my favorite place to board our dogs! I know my dogs are receiving top notch care during their stay. My dogs lose their minds when they hear they are going to (Julie’s..we’ve been going that long before it was canine cabins) Canine Cabins. I’ve recently started taking advantage of the full service groom and nail clipping. The dogs smell and look so good!!! I am loving this added service and saves me an extra trip to have boarding and grooming all in one place. Worth every penny!!! The Canine Cabin Team is simply the very best.

Otis has been boarding with Canine for about 5 years now. We've always added basic bath services when Otis books an extended stay. Now that they've added the additional luxury grooming services, it's an extra perk for things like the de-shed treatment to clean up extra fur and proper conditioning & blowout. Otis comes home super soft & shiny and squeaky clean. Both groomers (Abbie & Grace) are fantastic and will take great care & attention to detail when bathing your pup. :)

Puppers has never had a funner time while being at a dog kennel! Julie and team accommodated Oreo and made him feel right at home. He actually didn't want to leave when we came to pick him up. It was wonderful to see him online in pictures and video hanging out with his buddies. The environment and the hospitality were just tremendous and it showed in our dog when we brought him home. He was in good spirits and was pooped out! Thanks so much Julie and team for taking such good care of our Oreo!!

I changed to getting my dog groomed to Canine Cabins about 4 months ago and could not be happier. Wonderful facility, friendly staff, and talented groomers!

The best place to send your pup! Julie, Bill, & their staff are absolutely amazing and every time we go away, we know Milo is in great hands :) they go above & beyond to make sure your dog is taken care of! Lots of play time, and love the updates on social media!

Boomer had his 1st time vacation. We saw pictures, posts, and videos . Very caring owners and staff. They answered all the questions I had. He Had A Blast !!!!

If you’re debating taking your dog here for boarding, just do it!!!! Canine Cabins put us at ease while leaving our dog for the first time not with a trusted family member. We knew our dog was in good hands and we loved getting the updates on social media :)

My high-energy pups had a fantastic time staying here for 3 nights. This was the first time for 2 of my pups to be away from us. We got regular updates both through instagram and direct texts from Julie. Thank you!

Our dog has stayed at Canine Cabins for several years, and we always feel very comfortable dropping her off, even for long visits of a week or more. The staff truly love what they do and are great about posting pictures on a regular basis, so we have a peek at what our dog is up to. The reservation process is very reasonable, given the high demand for this particular business. And the owner, Julie, is always very accommodating when I have to make a small adjustment to the reservation. Would highly recommend Canine Cabins to others, although you will need to call well in advance, as they book up quickly!

Disclaimer- I have not used this service- I called hoping to get my dogs in last minute while I'm traveling, and even though they were booked up, the woman I spoke with took extra time to find out where I was going, what size my dogs were, and made a recommendation for another boarding facility! Thank you so much for your help! If I'm ever that way again, I'll go out of my way to visit!

My Corgi Freddy goes here and he loves it! He charges in the door to greet all the staff and then in to play with the other dogs. I feel confident my best buddy is safe and secure when I can’t be with him. The staff and Beth are all awesome and friendly. The location is nice and convenient ! Five stars!

Our dog LOVES it at Woofles. Unlike other dog daycares that have a large dingy empty room, it has home-like creature comforts and a great backyard that has water areas to play in on hot days. The place is clean, and there are sections for large vs. smaller dogs. I get updates from staff when he stays overnight. I tell everyone about this place it’s so amazing!!!

Our golden doodle has been going to Woofles for daycare, boarding and grooming since early 2021. The only problem we have had was our dog’s own fault and Beth and Woofles were understanding and accommodating (he chewed through the wall in one of the suites when boarding as a puppy, so we had to pay a reasonable fee to pay for the damage, and now he does the cage-free lodging which has prevented any further problems). He goes to daycare twice a week, boards a few times a year, and is groomed there as well. He loves all of his time at Woodles. I especially love getting daily photos when he is boarding and updates so we know he is happy and well cared for. He never shows any signs of stress after boarding there and has never become ill. After grooming he is always so soft and smells wonderful. We’ve had a great experience overall. We are thrilled to have Woofles nearby to provide so much fun, love and care for our fur-baby.

We have a family vacation coming up and we can’t take Jordy. I was so anxious and nervous about what we would do. Jordy does go to day care at Woofles but never boarded I had Jordy stay a night to get acclimated. I am much more at ease and so happy that we have Woofles to take care of our Jordy. Thankful for Woofles and the staff. 🐶 …

My dog is wagging his tail before we even enter the parking lot to go to daycare. Beth and everyone there is so nice and you can see they genuinely care about your pets. Grooming has always been spectacular and the open boarding is great for my anxious pup.

The staff is loving and caring. I never worry about how my pupper is being treated. I know he is safe and secure. I know he is having a good time. Woofles is the best doggie care facility I know of. I travel 30 minutes on the Parkways to take my Cebo because it's worth the trip.

Woofles has taken care of my dog for 2 years now. He goes for both daycare and boarding. The staff is very friendly, the facility is very clean and I never worry when he is there for boarding. I also use their grooming services! Highly recommend for ALL things dog related.

This morning when I dropped my dog off at Woofles, Beth, the owner, flagged me down as I was driving out of the lot to show me she found a small tick on my dog’s snout. It was so tiny, it looked like a hair follicle. I would have never noticed it myself! Beth let me know they would remove it for me, and asked to make sure I had treated my dog recently with flea & tick medication. I am SO Grateful!! What wonderful and caring service. Beth and her staff know my dog by name and always greet her very warmly. My dog loves going there, but today was the icing on the cake! I highly recommend Woofles!!! Thank you Beth

We have been using the services of Woofles for over a year and even though we have moved 30 minutes further away we still keep coming back for their Day Care, Boarding and Grooming services. Most importantly our dog truly seems to enjoy her time there whether it be for the day or for a week or more. The facility is clean, the staff are attentive and the facility is well managed. I have boarded dogs at numerous facilities over the years and Woofles (in my opinion) is one of the best.

My grandpup goes there and is well taken care of,lots of room to play,water area,my son and his wife give this a 5 star thumbs up!!

Jeff is an amazing dog trainer and all of the equipment in nice. Their outdoor dog park is expensive but we have taken both our dogs their and they love it. our puppy Luna has a few friends she always plays with.

When I walked in the door the first time, I knew I brought my german shepherd Ghost to the right place for a 2 week boot camp. The staff are so friendly and welcoming! You can tell they really care about the animals. The facility is clean and the grounds are beautiful. Ghost will be going back for boarding soon. I totally trust them. A one stop shop for your dogs needs!!!

They are very well organized.They offer quite a variety of classes. My dog loves training here, and so do I. The staff is helpful and kind. My dog loves their park as well.

I love this place! If I'm taking my dog somewhere to have fun and keep him busy, this is where I go. They are a little bit pricey but that doesn't bother me as I only go to one class a week if I'm not busy and as an added bonus, the dog park is free before and after that class you take! I take my dog to the Toy breed class, Ed normally teaches it and I have to say, he really has a way with the little dogs. I've had one other instructor teach the Toy class and it was very uncomfortable, you could feel all the dogs in the room being very stimulated. But I'm not saying the other instructors are bad as I have seen them teach the classes with the bigger dogs and they do a fantastic job. After coming here maybe fifteen times I have noticed my dogs behavioral and potty problems diminishing and an increase in confidence just by having this outlet for him once a week. I see some reviews stating they could be rough with pets, but I have not experienced this yet. I can't say anything about the daycare or boarding as I have not used either, but I do know they have a window you can watch your dog from while they are in daycare. They also sell these special training collars, I was very iffy to spend money on just a fancy collar, but I ended up getting one after not having much success with his harness, and their training collar REALLY made a difference in training. I'm not sure why, I think it's about the communication through the leash. Overall, I recommend this place!

Took our Australian Shepherd for grooming. They were absolutely wonderful and spoke with me at length prior to his arrival so they understood his behavioral issues. Other groomers refused to handle him. Our Buddy looks absolutely beautiful and we were very happy! We will definitely be using them again!!!!!

Misty pines is awesome!! They have two separate fenced-in areas for dogs with obstacle courses and even an area designated just for puppies. Additionally, they have some trails on site. Even more exciting, they have a puppy pond that’s gated and features a dock and pavilion area . We went following quarantine and the staff couldn’t have been more organized or professional -keeping everyone safe . Definitely will be back ! My puppy loved it

An amazing place to bring your dog for a couple of hours, daycare, or boarding. The campus is secluded and feels like you're in the middle of the mountains. Very clean, no dog smell and lots to offer! The services and pricing beat out other major chain kennels like Camp Bow Wow. This is my new favorite dog kennel and I'll be coming here often.... With my dogs. My dogs will be the ones coming here. I'm just the chauffer. PS - the groomers here are AMAZING!!! Will never take my dogs anywhere else. PPS - the training staff, Kelly and Jace are also AMAZING!!! Very talented and patient! Five stars!

I had taken my dog here for an overnight to see how he would do for the 2 week training program because he was terrible on a leash. After his initial night, he had a behavioral specialist, I believe his name was Jeff, talk with me about how my dog was. Boy was he short of amazing! He had taught me the proper way to control my dog on a leash. Taking his advice with me, my dog Thor has turned into a completely different dog. He use to pull constantly with a gentle leader on and I have gotten to the point where we can walk without it at all! He’s getting better about barking at other dogs as well. I can tell he truly cared about me teaching my dog the way he should be on a leash. I can never thank him enough for how much happier we both are on walks. Would recommend this place and that trainer any day!
