Absolutely wonderful sit!
Palli and Bella are delightful pets, so easy to take care of. We are so grateful for such generous and hospitable hosts, we hope to stay in touch!

First of all, I’m amazed at how clean Lisa’s place was, even with having three boys living there!! And she didn’t use air fresheners or other heavily scented products to give the illusion of clean. It was just legitimately clean!

The neighborhood was very quiet (I think partly because the house is on a dead end street). It felt really peaceful. It’s also really close (short drive) to one of Seattle’s best parks, one that has a 2.6 mile waterfront loop to walk/run. And it’s a quick drive to downtown and many other things a tourist would want to see. But it’s also on the south end of town, which is closer to the airport. It’s a perfect location for visiting folks.

Great kitchen, lots of counter space and high quality cookware, perfect for someone who wants to make an actual meal while they stay. Kitchen has open floor plan with the dining & living rooms, maximizing the light and the spacious feeling. Comfy couch/chairs upstairs in the living room for relaxing book time, and a nice tv den downstairs with Roku for movies, etc. The only minus for me was the bed— it’s an extremely firm bed (I think it’s baffled innerspring?) and I don’t sleep well on firm beds. But for someone else, firm bed might be a plus!

And of course the kitties— they LOVE to play!! We had lots and lots of feather toy time with both kitties (Trixie loves to leap!) and Simon even entertained himself by chasing a toy around. These cats are very interactive, and I was delighted to get to spend time with them.

I would definitely stay at Lisa’s again!

Rebecca
Darcy and Elvis were easy to look after and Darcy was as playful as Elvis was chilled! Both dogs are at oposite ends of age and Elvis warmed to a gentle approach while Darcy chased balls backwards and forwards and entertained me constantly. Being small dogs, the sit would suit someone who treads carefully and they do tend to stop frequently to sniff when you are out walking so patience is important. Rebecca kindly picked me up in Devizes and we drove the short distance to the village of Potterne with a handy grocery shop across from the house, a pub and some lovely thatched cottages and one of the oldest (Porch House 1480) timber framed houses in the South West; its Grade 1 listed. The impressive church is also Grade 1 listed and dates from the 13th century. I wandered through the church yard and hearing the organ start up went in and sat for a while listening to the organist practicing then met the vicar on my way out...always nice to be surprised doing a sit! The house itself is impressive in its scale and you will get plenty of exercise going up the various levels! Given the high ceilings and size of rooms, I thought it would be cold which was not the case and the bedroom was very bright and cosy. In the kitchen is a lovely Aga which adds to the warmth and there is a good size garden that offers a nice place to sit in warmer months. There is a bus stop very close to the house with regular buses into Devizes a quirky market town with lots of independent shops and good eating places and pleasant canal-side walks. A great sit and thanks for inviting me Rebecca.

Alexandra
A real treat to sit for super cute wee Crumpet. It was a pleasure to spend time with her in Alexandra's beautiful and peaceful country home. l really appreciated the offer of a lift to/ from Reading station and thoughtful things like getting bread and milk in advance.

This was such an amazing sit, Lucy was so welcoming and kind, she is an amazing person. My room was gorgeous and this home is stunning, really cozy and just a wonderful location. It is a close walking distance to bushy park which is really beautiful for walks. There is also amazing cafes and shops in close walking distance. There is a beautiful river walk that makes you feel like your not in London. Nala and I had great fun on our walks even though shes still a puppy, she was amazing at following instructions and was so good, just the sweetest puppy and she was great company. She snoozed while i worked and she loves her toys and belly rubs. This was one of my favorite house sits and I would definitely recommend. Thanks so much for everything Lucy.

We loved sitting for Peeve and Warlock, you could not ask for sweeter more affectionate and fun cats. They are definitely people cats and I was sad to leave them. Alice and Cory's house is amazing and their garden/outdoor space is a dream oasis. Location was perfect, easy to get to everywhere and the on street parking was great. Would love to sit again anytime. Thanks so much Alice and for all the great communication.
