After warming up to me the cats were all super friendly, each with their own unique personalities and very easy to take care of.
It was lovely to meet everyone and discuss the trials and tribulations of renovations. The house is spacious and comfortable with loads of character and a large garden to relax in. The village is also lovely with a visiting pizza and a visiting fish and chip van and the two pubs we ate in, both a couple of minutes walk away were excellent. Yondu and Clio are both absolutely lovely although both very different characters. It took me a while to win Clio over although I think she's probably quiet smart and strung it out longer than needed to get more treats! Yondu will love you from the start and love all the attention he can get, but will mug you for your cornflakes so beware! I would recommend this sit to anyone.
We enjoyed our 10 day house sit for Kendra. We looked after Murphy, a golden doodle and Rumi, an outside cat. Kendra has a comfortable home with a large back yard. We enjoyed sitting on the deck and playing with the pets. Her neighborhood is well treed and we enjoyed taking Murphy for his daily walks. I know Murphy enjoyed the walks too and was well behaved. Red Deer is a lovely city with all the amenities.
My recent housesit at Gene and John’s lovely home was such a pleasure! Their sweet pups Willi and Bailey were delightful and I miss spending time with such joyful little creatures. Their home is beautiful and comfortable, filled with amazing art and with every convenience to make daily life easy and pleasant. I am not necessarily an every-day-coffee person, but in addition to my growing affection for the doggies (who would be impossible not to adore) I also fell in love with their coffee machine 😊 Best of all though was the chance to spend a bit of time and get to know Gene and John. Such fascinating and wonderful people and amazing hosts! Philadelphia is my hometown and I very much hope to keep in touch with these guys who I consider new friends. Thanks so much again, Gene and John! This experience was such a joy and I hope to have the chance to connect again soon.
Thomas' home is lovely and Rita and Sadie are both gentle, sweet, loving dogs. I already miss hanging out with them!
I really enjoyed watching Polly and Dante, they were very sweet cats and well behaved. Elise was very responsive and they provided everything I would need for the week. There's a couple grocery stores close by and the center is about 20-30 minute walk or you could rent a bike, as the city seems very bike friendly.
