Jayne
Dora and Norma were absolute dolls to take care of! So full of personality and so sweet!
Martin and Jayne have the most beautiful home in a fantastic location- I loved being here spending time with the girls- trying to go for decent walks in spite of the proper British weather!!
I wasn’t able to meet Jayne & Martin prior to starting the sit, but the neighbor filled me in and Jayne had sent snippets of videos on the most important items ( where the vacuum cleaner lived, how to turn on the tv..)
The girls were so easy to take care of- wonderful companions and just a pleasure to be with.
I can’t recommend this sit enough, and hope their travels and mine line up again at some point so I can come back!

Roger and Helena
Thank you so much Roger and Helena for trusting us with your home and your fur boys. We had no experience taking care of horses before the sit other than some childhood memories for GiO. We wanted to take care of horses to understand if it would be part of our future.

We arrived in blizzard conditions and minus 19 degrees Celsius. Roger had prepared the paddock and barn for our 25 day stay while they travelled to Patagonia. We experienced multiple warm and cold fronts during our stay which built up thick ice on the hilly driveway and horse paddock. We recommend ice spikes that fit over your boots for future house sitters.

Leo (Palomino) and Magic (Buckskin) have distinct personalities, and were a pleasure getting to know. Coming from two city folks without much horse experience at all, we found spending time with them educational and a great workout. It's lovely making eye contact and connecting with such large gentle creatures.

Their cute dog Echo is full of energy and very talkative. Taking him for long walks around the beautiful neighbourhood relaxed him. We will miss the many play sessions on the carpet next to the dining table with the squeaky bone. Echo favoured Pamela and was glued to her side for the length of the house sit.

The home is spacious, clean, tidy and has great art.

Thanks so much Helena for improving our bread making strategy!

Richelle
We had a fabulous time looking after Taika, Izzy and Tux. Richelle and Mike are charming hosts and they have a beautiful home in Dalkey. The cats, being cats look after themselves more or less between feeding times. Taika is adorable. Be prepared to being stopped in the street for complements! We have great memories of walks on the beach, paddling in the sea and endless ball fetching in the garden. There are so many nice walks all around we were spoiled for choice, don't forget Killiney Hill Park with the 360deg views over Dublin Bay. Hope to see them again soon....

Maïté
OMG the cuddliest (is that a word?) cats ever! PuKa came to my room from the first night with welcoming face bumps and face rubs that melted my heart. PiPi eventually got used to me and would compete for attention at times ;) Both were such easygoing cats, quite independent and playful together, sleeping lazily during the day and being the fluffiest alarm clock to wake up to, early in the morning.
Maïte was very kind and super fast to communicate. We decided this sit a bit of last minute and made it work, even changing a bit the schedule. Thanks Maïte for being so accommodating! Her flat was new, well insulated, comfy and well equipped. It was not in central Copenhagen, rather in a residential area, but easily accessible by train and perfect for someone who needed to do some computer work without getting distracted. Weather didn't help much, so staying in the comfort of a warm flat with the cats was just bliss. On the rare sunny days, I would take the city train to go to the city center and do some sightseeing so all in all it was a good balance between sightseeing and staying home.
It was my first time in Copenhagen (and in Denmark) so I really appreciated her advice with transport and trains!
Would definitely recommend it and stay again if needs arise and our schedules match!

Tammy
Tammy and Alex are very nice, friendly and welcoming people. Their dog, Blu, is a big teddy-bear; he looks very intimidating but is just a sweetheart who'd rather lick you to death. They have a beautiful home and both seem to be very busy working and leading a very active life with their children.

We really enjoyed meeting them and Blu, and would housesit for them again without hesitation.

Thank you guys!
