Kaila was absolutely terrific. Great to communicate with and great with our dogs. The best testament to Kaila was the fact that we had travel challenges in our way home that delayed our return by a day. Kaila actually agreed to stay an extra day at the last minute so that our house and dogs had someone to watch them until we could get home. It was so above and beyond to demonstrate this kind of flexibility and willingness to help us out of a challenging situation. Can’t say enough good things about Kaila. 🙂
I cannot say enough about Barbara and her husband Jonathan! They were amazing, kind and caring and we were so thankful to have them watching our dogs! Right before we left, one of our dogs became mysteriously ill, and Barbara was empathetic, loving and kind to her and we are so grateful! I would recommend her beyond 5 stars if it was available. I would definitely use her EVERY time if she was available!
Tania and her family were super welcoming. I arrived the evening before they left, so we had time for a proper handover. Tania even invited me for dinner, which I appreciated. Clara is a sweet dog who loves belly rubs and clearly indicates it when she puts her paw on your leg, which is super cute. She can be playful like a little puppy at times. During the day, between walks, she normally sleeps or chills inside the house or the outside area. Her night routine is super easy as well. After her last walk, she is just waiting for you to let her go up to her crate, and she sleeps throughout the whole night. I would say, though, to only consider this sit, if you're feeling comfortable to handle a bigger dog. Clara gets triggered by cats, foxes, and certain other dogs (mostly smaller females). When this happens, she will forget everything around her and pull the lead. Given that she's really strong, you need to be capable of holding her. That can be physically challenging. It also requires that you need to remove her from the situation and try to calm her down. Since this might happen at any time during a walk, you need to be prepared for it and try to avoid certain situations/areas. She is usually fine with people. Only when she's that agitated would she perhaps bark at people. So, again, Clara has a big cuddly heart. But as stated by Tania in the sitting description, she displays this kind of rescue dog behavior sometimes. So, I'd say it definitely requires an experienced sitter. Thanks again to Tania and family for having me. The house was clean and comfy. Tania's communication with me was impeccable. And the area around Canary Wharf is an amazing place to stay in London.
