Our sit for Cassia and Matt's home and pets has been wonderful! They couldn't have been more welcoming on our first evening with a lovely supper in the beautiful courtyard, and gave us very comprehensive instructions for looking after Pretzel, Honey, Ruby and the 6 chickens - all of whom were a delight! Pretzel is an affectionate, obedient, and very sweet and gentle dog. The cats, Honey and Ruby are very pretty and well trained, who loved affection and settled on our laps each evening. The chickens in the little meadow, which you approach through a lovely arbour walkway, were friendly, fun, and easy to care for as their pen and coup is all well organised. They liked their little grain treat from our hands morning and evening. All the eggs are different colours! Beacon Hill House is a beautiful, comfortable house. We had a spacious lower ground floor apartment with bedrooms and bathroom, with a super comfy bed! The area around is very lovely for walks, and the towns of Wells, Shepton Mallet and Frome are all within half and hour's drive. There is an excellent lively French restaurant in Frome called Lotte's Bistro! We would highly recommend this housesit, and would like to thank Cassia and Matt for their welcome and kind hospitality. Christopher and his family were such awesome hosts. There was always super quick communication and I even received a very in-depth printed out guide which was helpful when my husband and I arrived. We felt super comfortable and safe, and the home was very clean. Plus, the view was amazing! While our time with Broseph was very short, from our brief encounter he was a sweet and goofy dog. I’d definitely sit for them again!
My husband and I had a wonderful week with Pippa the corgi and Mario the cat. Everything went as Betsy described in her instructions. Pippa has a wonderfully large fenced back yard that she likes to explore before and after her walks. She really liked all the dogs we met on and off leash ( at beach). Mario is really independent and came and went as he pleased when we left his cat access open for him ( when not too cold or rainy). Their house is newly built with all the mod coms. It is lovely & bright with lots of windows & views. It sits on a large corner lot across from the ocean. We enjoyed our time with Pippa & Mario and also touring around the Comox Valley. We would be happy to sit again! 👍👍👍
We really enjoyed our sit here in the beautiful home of Sonya and James and their 3 cats Blackie Mo and Houser. Sonya was super organised with the handover with very detailed instructions for us regarding the food for the cats and the medication for Blackie. The 3 cats all with different personalities were great fun to take care of. Blackie is the sweetest cat we have ever come across. He takes his medication very well and is very loving. Mo was shy at first but very quickly realised he liked us and was very playful. Houser was very shy but he touched my heart and we made a lot of progress with him in our 3 week stay. The house is situated on La Cala Golf Resort and easy driving distance into Mijas Costa. We had a wonderful experience here and would recommend it to anyone who wants to see this part of Spain. We hope to repeat this again another time and would like to thank Sonya ad James for their hospitality.
I absolutely loved taking care of Luna, Lexy, and Ringo! Luna is a super sweet baby that always wants to be the center of attention. Whenever I pet Ringo or Lexy, she would come over, wanting to be pet instead, such a funny and adorable trait! 😁 She also has a great time playing fetch and running around in the backyard! Lexy is an adorable little dog that enjoys being pet, though not quite as much as Luna, haha. Also, she'd often sit on top of the cushions next to me, keeping me company. It was the sweetest thing! And last but not least, Ringo, a wonderfully mellow kitty!! He kept a bit of distance when Luna was around but he was close to us either way. I made sure to leave my door open at night, and Ringo would come and join me on the bed for a bit, both at night and in the morning. It was a truly delightful experience, and I thoroughly enjoyed my time with all three of them ❤️🥰 Selina is also a fantastic host. She welcomed me warmly and explained everything I needed to know. Thank you so much, Selina!
Chelsie was so awesome and easy to communicate with. Her dogs stole our hearts instantly. Kaia and Zeus are super easy going and easy to care for. The cats were great too. Highly recommend this sit and would love to come back!
