This was a wonderful sit. Kathryn and Graeme’s new chalet sits up above Saint-Gervais, just above the main gondola station, with stunning views across the valley and an ever-changing mountain vista. Our accommodation was very comfortable indeed. It’s a 10 minute stroll down to the village with its busy shopping and restaurants. Of course, that means an uphill walk on the way back, but it’s just fine, especially if you’ve eaten well! Kathryn and Graeme greeted us the night before their departure, so we had a chance to run through everything. Instructions and were completely straightforward with no fuss. Smudge, the border collie, is a delight: friendly, playful but obedient and darned clever. Like so many border collies, he just seems to “get” what you’re saying and listens very closely. He took a couple of days to get over his mom and dad’s departure and really warm to us, but by the end of our stay, we were all pretty attached. He loved his tummy rubs and ear scratching. Smudge spends lots of time outside, guarding his territory (which, in his mind, includes the huge field out back), but never failed to “appear” when called for out the terrace doors. We took Smudge, or rather HE took us, on plenty of long walks in the snow (of which Smudge can’t get enough) and forest. He knows the paths very well, and won’t hesitate to show you the way if you get lost; he can certainly walk further than we could. We loved our stay at Kathryn and Graeme’s - fabulous skiing nearly on the doorstep, a comfortable house, and the irresistible charm and companionship of Smudge. Definitely recommended!
Sweetest family! All of the instructions were laid out and very thorough. The animals have a routine that they stuck to, making it easy to follow. Their home is lovely and They have an awesome master suite set up to stay in. The city is beautiful you have a lovely time.
Forget cat cafes and puppy playdates! This petsitting gig was straight out of a fuzzy fairytale! Our stay at Jess & Nick's home in Singapore was filled with the best puppy snuggles! Jackie - the puppy, melted our hearts with her playful energy, and Who Dey, the cat, kept us entertained with her regal charm. But what truly set this stay apart was the incredible family. Jess & Nick are the coolest parents this side of Sesame Street, treated us like honorary family as they welcomed us with open arms. They had a welcome basket and gave us a great tour of the Holland Village/Chip Bee gardens area and inspired us with their dedication to nurturing creativity in their sons -Teddy & Owen. Their home is a treasure trove of artistic inspiration and was wonderful to have a bit of a yard and pool in Singapore! The communication was easy and seamless, and the location perfect for exploring the city. But beyond the logistics, it was the warmth and sincerity of the family that made this stay truly exceptional. We left feeling more like friends than guests. If you're looking for a pet-sitting experience that transcends the ordinary, look no further than Jess & Nicks! Thank you for hosting us!
We had s great sit in Roanoke. We met Allie and Brad before the sit and they took us thru everything we needed to know about Maddy, their lovely house and the area. Maddy was a bit shy at first but quickly warmed up to us and was an adorable, friendly kittie. Would highly recommend sitting for her if given the oppurtunity.
Anne and Roy have a lovely home. Their home is very peaceful, excellent scenery, lots of nature around, well stocked kitchen plus washer and dryer. A garage was available for my car. They made me feel very welcome right away. We were able to meet and talk before the house/pet sit. Communication was very easy, we seemed to always be in sync. The guest bedroom and hallway bath were made available to me. I felt very comfortable there. Stores and restaurants are within 6 miles. Taking care of June was very easy. June is shy, like most older cats it took about 2 days for her to warm up to me. Her routine is very simple. No medications necessary. Anne left written instructions. June will let you know when it's time to eat her special treats. She also let me know when she wanted to hang outside a bit. We were able to communicate very well together. She loves company but not necessarily to be held. A few head or belly strokes, ear rubs and she's good, just let her chill in her chair. I enjoyed my stay.
While I did not get a chance to meet the hosts, they were friendly and communicative. Their apartment was clean and tidy and located close to restaurants and shopping. Best of all, their cat was sweet and obviously loved having someone stay with her rather than be alone. I recommend this sit.
