We loved everything about housesitting for Maria and Danny and look forward to coming back should they need us again. Firstly, they are lovely people, very warm, and generous and till time to leave very detailed welcome guide. We arrived about 1.5 days before they were to fly out so we could get the lay of the land and fully understand our caretaking responsibilities. After receiving a warm welcome we got settled into the gorgeous guest house went on a walk and had a terrific dinner together to get know one another. The next day They showed us the ins and outs and little nuances of caring for each of their animal family, the garden, pool, and potted plants. The evening before they left, Maria and Danny organized an afternoon meet and greet with their friends and immediate neighbors so we knew who to contact and who might be contacting us. We were in charge of looking after two very sweet natured male dwarf goats Francis and Vince. We also looked after 5 sweet hens and a gorgeous outdoor cat named Fluffy. They also have a cute little stuffy who stayed with their daughter while they were away but we would be happy to look after him too on the next visit. Thank you Maria and Danny! Love to you all and the Gorgeous for babies! 🙏🫶✨ Highly Recommend! **You'll want to make sure you have your own car for this house sit as Carmel Valley is it's own gorgeous area about 25 minutes from Carmel by the sea and Monterey and 40 minutes from Salinas.
Alex and Adam are welcoming, helpful and relaxed which made our stay so enjoyable. Toots and Tiger are such well behaved dogs and we did not use the lead once. The cats, Tuppy, Gussy and Gertie, were also very friendly and a pleasure to look after. The house is beautiful both inside and out and we would both love to return if we were offered the chance. Thank you so much for choosing us for an amazing week.
Such a pleasure to house-sit and take care of Sirius and Hermione in a beautiful German countryside! The kittles were so sweet that they were usually around me when they were not outside for hunting. We slept together. Chiara and Roberto are lovely, easy going, great communicators and make sure I could feel comfortable with this house-sit. I would happily come back to them back when our schedule meets, and of course, recommend to any future house sitters.
We spent a lovely long weekend with Natasha and enjoyed our stay. We met Susan and Natasha prior to the sit, and Susan was very welcoming. It was great to meet Natasha beforehand as Susan explained that she could be a little shy with new people. A couple of days into the sit she seemed to relax with us. She would curl up with us watching tv and at night we felt so honoured to get some snuggles. Susan has a beautiful garden and we enjoyed the time we spent here with Natasha, this truly seems like Natasha's happy place.
’ve enjoyed my stay here very much. During the day, I would cool off at the pool and at night, I would go for walk/run/hike around the area. The neighborhood is very safe and quiet. I would say that the coyotes are the only thing to be careful of. Also, the people in the neighborhood are very friendly. I also loved that there is a lot of places around the house to sit to do work. The work space is very comfortable and big. Ralph’s is the closest grocery store. It’s like a 5 minute drive or a 23 minute walk. Downtown is like 8-12 mins. Bucks was great company and didn’t have a dull moment with her. She’s has a personality of a teenager. Be cautious though, she will randomly bite and scratch you out of nowhere. Dodie was very approachable and friendly. I would definitely come back.
Lorraine was kind enough to take a chance on me for my first sit. I thouroughly enjoyed looking after the lovely Poppy and Penny, taking them on walks by the stream and cuddling up on the sofa. Would highly recommend this sit and make sure to visit the Town End Farm Shop, a 5 minute walk from the cottage :)

Cecil is the owner/caretaker. What a wonderful lady. We took our kitty for a long weekend. I couldn't have asked for better care of my little pet. Total professional care, clean and impressive grounds. Full intake before and upon arrival. Obviously, she cares for her charges. I feel so fortunate to have found her.
Cecile is lovely, and takes care of the dogs with her whole heart. The estate is large and secure. My dog loves coming!

Absolutely wonderful place to board your pets. I've taken my pets here for years and Cecil has always taken great care of them. Both cats and dogs are on separate parts of the property, but it is very secure and clean. The cats are inside of her house,have their own cages and necessities. My pets had a blast and she even spoke French to them! Definitely recommend.
Best and most caring place to bring your pets! Cecilia always makes sure the pets are happy and comfortable! Great for a planned vacation or a last minute carpet cleaning ! The BEST place to take your four-legged family member! We have been taking our dog(s) to Happy Pet's Inn for over 15 years. Cecile and Jean Pierre are simply the best. They treat our dogs like part of their family. Zeus, our German Shepard, starts getting excited when we are about 3 miles away. He always comes back happy and healthy. We left him ONCE at another place...NEVER again. ONLY Happy Pet's Inn for him. Our previous Golden Retriever, Shane, LOVED Happy Pet's Inn. He too would get excited on the beautiful drive a few miles before we arrived. We have had many of our friends board their dogs at Happy Pet's Inn and ALL have been extremely satisfied. Cecile and Jean Pierre are truly a blessing. It's so nice to NEVER have to worry about our dog when we are away. It may seem like a long way to go for those who live out of the area, but it is well worth it and a lovely drive. As an added bonus, Cecile and Jean Pierre are the most patriotic couple that we know...but that's another story. You won't regret using Happy Pet's Inn. There is nothing that can compare to the care and love that Cecile and Jean Pierre and their staff give to the dogs and cats. We HIGHLY RECOMMEND THEM!
Cecile was absolutely amazing, we needed a pet sitter for our chihuahua for a day and couldn't find anywhere else to take her but she said she would and our little schunk was very well taken care of :3
I have known the owners of this exceptional pet friendly facility for more than three decades. They are some of the most hard working and dedicated people that I have ever seen. These people have a genuine love and devotion for animals that goes well beyond what one would expect from from any type of pet related business. The Happy Pets Inn is the real deal twenty four seven and I don't know of a better place for any pet to be cared for. They have taken care of my animals over many years when I have had to deal with out of town family emergencies. I had a work trip in Napa and my Fiona tagged along with me ... She went to Maranda Ranch Kennels each day and had the best time. She played all day. By the time I picked her up she would sleep all the way back to the hotel, eat dinner and go to bed. Highly recommend Maranda Ranch and their team of amazing Pawfriends. 🐾
We recently boarded our pups at Maranda ranch kennels. Our dogs got alot of attention and playtime, the staff is great. The added bonus for us is our mini aussie Sophia was born there and was part of Setters 2019 June litter. This past stay she was able to see and play with her sister Goose, who is still part of the ranch. We will continue to board our pups there in the future. Also many thanks to Marybeth.
I’m not gonna lie, back in March, I hated the idea of putting my little man in a kennel. But Maranda is different! He has so much fun there (pictures to prove it) and gets excited pulling up to the check-in area. Thanks guys for taking great care of Leaf and giving me the piece of mind an anxious dog dad has!
My dog's 3-day stay was a horrific experience! (Photos below). Her paws were so infected and swollen she could hardly walk when I picked her up. And she was so heat exhausted I had to stop the car on the way home to make sure she was still alive! When we got home she shivered for over an hour. It cost over $100 at our vet, which included having to give her antibiotics for a week. And, my dog is super-sweet and mellow but her brand new canvas bag that had her stuff in it was ripped and the handle torn off -- which no one told me about when I picked her up nor would they tell me about it later when I asked. The only thing they said when I picked her up was, "Bring more food next time; she was hungry". They only feed once a day (!) so I brought her extra meals but no one bothered to call me to ask about feeding her more (I would've been paid extra) because they were perfectly fine with her going hungry!?! THEY DON'T CARE ABOUT YOUR DOG, only about your money. Maribeth the owner said she would call me back and she didn't even when she was told our veterinarian was concerned. My dog's favorite thing in the world to do is to go for walks, but her paws were such a mess from being there she didn't want to go for a walk for three days. Three days! She was traumatized and I was so upset it ruined my vacation. This kennel needs to be shut down!
This place is fantastic. My dog has been to at least three other boarding places and while they were all perfectly fine, he was always not himself when he comes home. He would act like a wild dog that doesn’t recognize the family at first and then would seem depressed and not want to eat until he was home for a few days. The first time he stayed at Maranda Ranch was for 2 weeks, longer than he’s ever been at any boarding, and he was his normal happy self when I picked him up. That alone makes me trust this place. He also had a bit of a medical issue while there and they took wonderful care him. He will definitely be staying there again when needed and I highly recommend this place.
This is a great place! I also own a kennel, so I knew what to ask about and what to look for. Everything was clean, the dogs were well taken care of, and the staff was wonderful. They made my vacation better by easing my mind and heart while I went on day trips. Thanks for taking such good care of my pups!
Amazing place to bring your pups and doggies! Our 3 year old has been going there since he was born, and I have run into friends out there as well. The dogs are well cared for and have so much fun playing on the trampoline or splashing in the kiddie pool on warm days. Maribeth, who previously trained guide dogs for the blind, is beyond experienced and has created a true doggie daycare and retreat. Every human out there is so kind and loving. Can't say enough about this place!! Ohhhh, and the best part might be that they do almost daily videos of the dogs so that you can watch them on Facebook while you are on vacation thousands of miles away!

I can't say enough good things about my experience here for day care for Bud. It is large, clean, and well maintained. The section Bud was in had her in an indoor/outdoor space to herself. She is a shy dog. Right outside her run was the large group play area with a water feature. It was shaded and quite large. I think this was the small dog section but don't quote me on that. I was so pleased I booked an extra day. When I picked her up I got a report of how she did. I always appreciate that.
Our vet recommended Maranda Ranch, and we could not be more grateful ! They warmly and efficiently care for the unique needs of our arthritic old lab, as well as our "crazy" young boxer. Our dogs can have time together there, but also space apart from eachother, and our boxer can run out his energy playing with the other dogs who are staying - so we found him a LOT less stressed out than he was after staying at other facilities in the past. I can bring in my own food with the dogs, but find it convenient that they will feed their own high-quality food at no additional charge. Plus, we got a small discount for boarding multiple pets at once. If that's not enough, it feels great supporting a local family-owned business.
James and team take care of your dogs like they are part of their own family. Our dog Winston is happy and safe there. 5 stars!

The gal running this business is so sweet! Very professional and you can tell she really cares about the animals like they are her own. I went on vacation during the summer and she was so proactive about keeping my house cool for my cats and going above and beyond leaving extra bowls of water just in case. I used to not be able to travel because of my animals, but now Gayta has helped me to get back to doing what I love! Thank you!

One of the only places we trust to leave our slightly reactive dog. It is a bit out of the way for us, but the peace of mind that she will come back exactly as we left her is worth it. She is well taken care of. The photos are a nice bonus

I recommend Happy Paws Kennels for your fur baby or babies :) The process to check in for boarding was really easy and quick. Plus, they have a new office located beyond the gates, which is always nice because you'll have a chance to see the other happy dogs that are boarded there. They were also very communicative and made it easy for bookings. They also gave me complimentary baths at the end of their stay, which was very nice! One feedback that I would add is that I wish they would send pictures of the dogs as a compliment to the stay. A suggestion for Happy Paws is to provide the options for clients to choose the option of receiving pictures and updates during the stay. I think that will really enhance and add value to the experience. Overall, the experience was great, and my dogs seemed happy.
Boarded my dog here for 2 nights, and it was a very good experience! Friendly, experienced staff. This is a very clean facility and the dogs get plenty of excercise(weather permitting)!
Where to begin…I dropped my dogs off yesterday and my truck decided to just die right then and there. The team was SO fantastic and helpful trying to get it up and going. Above and beyond thoughtfulness. I can’t thank them all enough for the help and genuine concern. Getting to what their business actually offers — Our dogs LOVE it here - we are new to the area so have only done day visits so far, but I am sleeping well at night knowing they are here while I’m away for the first time. We absolutely love these guys. They took such great care of our puppy baby. She slept for 2 days when we got home from all the fun and exercise she had. We plan on going back regularly. They have great rates and a military discount. Thanks for really taking care of my baby.
