This was a beautiful sit. Rick & Tara welcomed us into their home, were lovely people and left detailed instructions which we always like. Their home is charming and in a perfect location. It’s walking distance to everything you would need in this delightful California town. The star of the show is Pony though. Pony is an intelligent dog that was our little sidekick the entire sit. Pony enjoyed walks, going to the beach and car trips with us. She was an absolute delight. This was a relaxing retreat for us with a well behaved and fun little dog.
Kerry and Karen and adorable Ollie were a real pleasure to housesit for. Kerry and Karen are kind, caring, generous, friendly, relaxed, interesting and fun people. Kerry kept us informed all along the way and was very prompt in replying to our messages, giving us useful information on the local transport and facilities in the area and sights to see in Belfast. We were offered the generous opportunity to stay with them for a while both before and after our week’s sit but this being our first experience with TrusedHousesitters we decided to stay in hotels either side of our visit. Once Kerry knew our travel arrangements, he offered to pick us up from the ferry and run us to the hotel even though we would be arriving late evening. He also kindly picked us up from our hotel at the start of our housesit. He and Karen had thought of everything to make our stay a very happy one. They explained how everything worked and Ollie’s routine and pointed out some places to visit that we may not have otherwise known about. Yes, we did go to Avoca and the food is fabulous! The house is ideally situated for a frequent bus service into town. Kerry printed us off a timetable and drove us round the area pointing out the local shopping areas and takeout. The house was very easy to manage with a lightweight efficient vacuum to hoover up Ollie’s stray hairs and keep the home looking neat and tidy. Ollie was a real personality and we fell in love with him straightaway. He was very gentle and we were soon putty in his paws! He was very clever at using “miaow” language to communicate his needs and we were trained very quickly to turn on his water fountain or to let him out in the back garden. On our last night Kerry and Karen took us to one of their favourite Italian restaurants. It was lovely to swap holiday memories and learn more about them and life in Belfast. The food was great too! All too soon it was time to say goodbye to a couple who we will always think of with fondness and a cat in a trillion. We look forward to keeping in touch and seeing Kerry and Karen at some time in the future. If you have the chance to sit for Kerry and Karen, do take it and enjoy the 5 star plus experience of being a TrustedHousesitter
Raka is sweet but shy cat😊 however we had a great time with Raka! And we are sure if we stayed longer we would have even stronger bond with her💚 It’s super easy to take care after her. Melani and Carolyn are extremely thoughtful hosts. They ll make sure you are comfortable during your stay :) The house is situated in a quiet residential area which we enjoyed!
Sitting for Maria and Ryan looking after Freida was lovely, they are the most warm and welcoming guests, they even made me dinner the evening I arrived! Freida is a feisty cat, she is full of energy and takes some winning over, but is very sweet after she has sussed you out! She is very vocal and really loves to play. As I only stayed a short while we didn't have too much time to make a strong connection, but on my last night she did sleep on my bed :) Maria and Ryan's flat is really very lovely, a pocket of calm in a perfect location close to the bustling North Street. Maria was super responsive to messages, generally very easy to work and communicate with. All round a very lovely experience, thank you for having me to look after Freida!
What a delightful sit! Margaret and I overlapped at the beginning - she was welcoming (chocolate treats!), informative, and made me feel really comfortable in her lovely home. Gus is the sweetest dog! Hours on the couch together, fun walks in a quiet neighborhood, and lots of eye contact and quiet communication. I highly recommend this sit!
What a lovely place to stay, George and Stelle were the sweetest dogs, they were lovely and well behaved. The cats were sweet and were doing their thing. The house was clean and comfy, the nature around is gorgeous. I definitely would love to come back.
