Lauren and Josh are great hosts, who made me feel very welcome. Bella was such good fun to look after. She's definitely a big character, and we built a really nice relationship during the time I cared for her. Lauren and Josh's house is ideally placed for exploring the coast and the Downs, and anyone sitting for them will, I'm sure, have a lovely time. Thanks Lauren, Josh and beautiful Bella.
I don't think anyone would not enjoy sitting for Kate, Benji is the most affectionate people loving Dalmatian and despite an unfortunate encounter with 2 other dogs during his morning walk before we arrived which resulted in him needing a small operation, he even came up to me for a cuddle after arriving home, a complete stranger who he had never met before! Obviously still under the effects of the anesthetic, he was very out of sorts the first evening but we kept a watchful eye on him through the night but he soon bounced back to his normal self the next day, and when I say bounced, yes really do mean bounced as he is a typical Dalmatian who has unlimited energy and just loves his walks! He is again typically very strong and doesn't like to walk on the lead so a firm hand is needed but great off lead and doesn't venture too far from you. He loves cuddling up next to you on the sofa and was also great at taking his medication. Kate lives in an amazing part of the world, Grayshott is full of amazing countryside, so many commons to choose from and one is only 5 mins from the door and all so breathtaking! Kate has a beautiful comfortable home and anyone sitting for Kate will not be disappointed! A dream sit and highly recommended.
Alicia and Bill are WONDERFUL people. Their hospitality and kindness were apparent through my entire stay. Stoney is the sweetest, most lovable old man. He is very easy to care for and only wants to be near you. I had the best time with him traipsing through the snow and snuggling on the couch. Big Sky is a dream. One of the most beautiful places I have ever been... and I lived in Hawaii so that's saying a lot! Alicia and Bill's house truly is indescribable. Montana was very high on the places I had been yearning to explore but I did not even want to leave their home! I must have spent hours just looking at the mountains from the windows/patio. I felt very safe here. Alicia made sure I was well-prepared before they left and included detailed instructions so I had very few questions. Even though they were out of the country, Alicia made sure to message nearly every day to make sure I didn't need anything. The nature is unbelievable, I was fortunate enough to see two moose and a wolf! If you ever have the chance to pet sit for Alicia and Bill, don't even hesitate. I would watch Stoney again in a HEARTBEAT.
Truly, I could not have asked for a better first sit through TrustedHousesitters. Maggie was so kind, thoughtful and responsive to any needs, and Finn was such a good boy. The location is beautiful and her home was comfortable. Finn and I became well acquainted with the area and took several long walks, which he ADORES, each day. He's very smart and playful and loves someone who can reciprocate that energy. I would sit for them again, in a heartbeat!
I had a phenomenal time on this sit with Hank and Jenga. Thay are both super sweet pets and super easy to care for. Walking Hank is a real treat as there are multiple trails and paths to take within the neighborhood and into town, and the views are quite breathtaking. Jaime and Jayson are excellent hosts and super easy to work and communicate with. To say there home is fabulous would really be underselling it by a mile. Their home in Golden is really more like a 5 star resort complete with full workout room and office. The views from and around the property are absolutely breathtaking, and nearest ski resort is a quick 45 minute drive from the property. If you have an opportunity to do this sit you should jump at the chance, please just allow me time to apply first. 😂
Sammy and Simon were great fun to look after! Apartment was well equipped and well located. I would highly recommend this sit.
