I really wish there were more than just 5 stars for rating her performance and care. Sharon was absolutely a dream and Barklee just loved her. In fact, he is still kind of pouting and watching the door for her to come back! The house was very well taken care of and she went left it in even better shape than it was when we left! Would definitely love to have her stay again! So would Barklee!

Thank you Broc and Clarissa for looking after our old lady Winnie. Broc and Clarissa were great, and I couldn't recommend them highly enough. Great communication, and wonderful photos of Winnie and her many adventures with them both. We came home to a happy Winnie and a clean home. Thank you very much. It was a pleasure to meet you both.

Patti and Tony are outstanding guests and took loving care of our big dog!! This is the second time they house sat at our place and they were so wonderful, we would welcome them back any time!!!

Robert and Mark were wonderful sitters for Tony. They not only provided everything he needed (including medications), they took excellent care of my home leaving it in absolutely impeccable condition. I recommend them 100%!

Catherine was simply amazing. It was her second time staying with our buddy - she came with a friend the first time, and this time she was alone part of the time and with her husband part of the time. Our boy was so, so happy to see her. She kept to his routine perfectly, and sent us regular updates and lots of pictures (which we asked her to!), all of which showed our boy to be totally at ease and relaxed. It was the first time our going away was not an ordeal for him. And it wasn't, at all. He had a great time. And, on return, our house was so clean that we wouldn't have known anyone had even been here, other than the fact that there were some homemade lemon bars waiting for us in the fridge. And above all, Catherine is lovely - she has a great manner with animals is a joy to communicate with. She did everything she said she would do, to a T. Catherine will be our first call anytime we are looking for a sitter!

What is the absolutely WORST thing that can happen? Your pets abandoned, with zero notice and the inability to get the "sitter" to respond to inquiries about your pets' status while you're in Hawaii panicking about your pets in California. Then, when you're able to get a friend to check on the status of your home and pets (because Claudia would not respond to me), you find that your house has been left wide open and unlocked. There was also a general lack of attention to the pets. She sent me a photo of my cat and asked me "who is this one". The cat in the photo was the cat she was supposed to be caring for. I found out she locked my cat out and let a stray in, instead. When I inquired further, I didn't hear anything for more than 24 hours despite reach out out a couple of times. Okay - but what about her side of the story? Claudia had a legitimate gripe, the cats were keeping her up at night because of an unusual situation: We've recently had to keep the cats inside at night because we had a problem with a skunk. The cats wanted to go in/out at will as they were accustomed to. I think the big, festering problem is that she didn't alert me to any of this until after 3 nights. My IMMEDIATE response to Claudia upon learning this was: "Oh, no. What a nightmare!! I am so sorry!! Let me try to think of a solution. Is the problem with both cats, or just Bing Bing" and "Wow - that is not okay!! What can I do? If I have someone take your place, is that better for you?" I also offered to have my daughter pick up the offending cat so that Claudia could finish her stay, if that's what she preferred. Note: the words in quotations are exact quotes of my messages. I was willing to stop everything to deal with Claudia's concerns immediately and do just about anything that would have made her happy. I even told her she could leave the cats for a few days (she lives less than 2 hours away) if she needed a break. Claudia also found the internet not fast enough. This is something we explicitly discussed before the sit - I had recently noticed that the internet had been less consistent than a few months ago. Claudia assured me that she understood and has an "amplifier" to plug into the wall that would be enough. When it wasn't, and she let me know, within MINUTES of learning this, I was on the phone to Verizon - I thought I had the fastest service, but apparently they changed things (which explains why I noticed a slowdown) and there was now faster service, so I increased it immediately. [For any potential future pet sitters, there is a simple "speed test" I can do that will measure the exact upload/download speed. She thought there was an issue with the washer/dryer, but that turned out to be user error. The power went out one time for 40 minutes. This is, unfortunately, not uncommon in California during fire season. Thankfully it's usually brief. I have found my laptop battery to be sufficient to manage the brief gap. Cell towers have generator backup, so wifi/cellular coverage is uninterrupted. I am heartbroken that this sit ended this way. Heartbroken because it sucked for everyone involved but could have so easily been avoided by simple communication from Claudia. I have had friends and neighbors petsit with no problems. I have Airbnb'd my house with a 4.97* cumulative rating. If only Claudia had simply reached out, I would have accommodated her in just about any way possible. Instead, she stayed silent, then would not even acknowledge the remedies I suggested and abandoned my pets, instead.

David was a great house and cat sitter for us for the 2+ weeks we were traveling. He's a very responsive, communicative and personable guy, kept the house super neat/clean and, most importantly, our kitty, Jerry, seemed to really take to him. We'd highly recommend David to anyone.

Carol was everything we would have wanted in a pet sitter. She was coming to MI from FL for an event that was cancelled, but she came anyway. She played with Lulu, cleaned up and was very communicative. We would definitely have her again.

We could not be more thrilled with our experience with Housesitters Dave and Mary Thompson. We have just returned home from our three week vacation. Our sweet 8-year-old female cat Gator is calm and in great condition and happy to see us. Our home is immaculate. There's hardly any evidence that a lovely couple stayed here, except for some goodies in the refrigerator. We were in communication with Mary and Dave throughout our trip with regular updates on Gator, the weather, and their experiences in Santa Fe. Just before we left, we met them and showed them the house and felt very comfortable that we were leaving our home and our pet in the best of hands. They even helped us out showing the house to some potential summer renters. It was an excellent experience and we're very grateful for their interest in being our zeewoi.

Brad and Sharon arrived the night before our trip to get acquainted with our crew and stayed on an extra night to accommodate our super late flight. They helped us out with a very sticky situation by driving back to our house from one of their few trips out in Asheville to scour through paperwork that our Spanish exchange student had forgot to bring on the trip. If it wasn't for them we would not have been allowed to travel on our cruise, they truly went above and beyond. As far as the poodles and Cookie they totally took care of them in every way and Cookie even came out from under the bed for a walk, a very rare occurrence due to her anxiety with people, so 100% score there in the Cookie dept. The two boys loved them and always had their big poodle smiles going on in the photos we were sent. The house was left as they found it and it was really nice to come home to three happy dogs a clean house and no problems. We would love for Brad and Sharon to come and sit again for our spoo crew xx

Abhaya was an exceptional pet sitter for my cat Athena. She is experienced, friendly, and a great communicator. Abhaya sent pictures and updates every day and it was evident she played and cuddled with Athena. When I returned it was evident that Athena was very emotionally and physically well cared for. Abhaya left the house clean, tidy and in perfect shape. I will definitely use Abhaya every time she is available when I travel. Abhaya is a trustworthy pet-sitter and a very kind person. I recommend her most highly.

Catherine was an amazing house and pet sitter, and would gladly host her again! She was great with Giuseppe and. Cleo, very communicative and responsive, left the house cleaner than when she came, and even made an amazing sweet potato, lentil and rice dish that she left in the fridge in storage containers. Thanks for taking such great care of the pets and house!
