This was an absolutely fantastic sit! Emily and her family are warm and wonderful, as is their home. Rover, Rexie, and Maggie are super easy to take care of! Walking with the pups is so nice, as the levee is very close by and a great place for walks. The dogs are fabulous companions! Their home is cozy and located in a great part of town. They were also kind enough to leave me a car to use, which was greatly appreciated. The property is gorgeous, with a lovely porch and a flower garden. This was my first time taking care of chickens, and it was so easy! Plus, having fresh eggs every day was a treat. I would highly recommend this sit! I miss the animals so much—they were just a dream. Definitely sign up for it if you have the chance! Thank you, Emily, for welcoming me into your home!
Go buy a lottery ticket if you are selected to sit for Bearah.... since you just hit the jackpot! First of all, Bearah is the sweetest dog and most fabulous companion. I enjoyed playing chase in the backyard, strolling her neighborhood and cuddling at night. She is a great "co-worker" too! She sat by my side while I worked away on the laptop. If you do work remote, the offered Guest Suite is the an ideal work space. The suite has a large table, great wifi and an amazing view of the garden. It's a great space to relax as well! I very much enjoyed it. The home is beautifully decorated with an amazing view! I felt like I was in a fancy hotel. Michael/Kevin are the most generous hosts. Great communication before and during the sit. They really want you to have a great time with Bearah, in their home and city. They set me up for success. It was wonderful to get to know them better and I feel like I made new friends! The home is located very close to Golden Gate Park so it is the perfect location to explore the city. I found it very easy to go have an adventure for a few hours and pop back home to spend time with Bearah. Cole Valley has amazing restaurants, so you don't need to go very far for good food. Bearah and I probably visited the local Ice Cream Bar too many times (LOL). There are a lot of dog-friendly places to take her. I would definitely recommend this sit and would welcome the opportunity to come back again! :-) Thank you Michael, Kevin and Bearah :-)
We met with Patricia and Robert and Bogey prior to the sit, received appropriate instructions, and had good communication throughout. They were very warm and welcoming, and Bogey is a friendly and loving boy! He loved his walks, although we stayed close to home as I was never able to persuade him to get in my car. But the house is in a beautiful neighbourhood surrounded by walking trails. Bogey was very patient while I was working, and I'm sure when I listen to my Zoom hearings, I will hear his snoring in the background! Bogey was easy to care for, although you do have to keep an eye on your socks and slippers! I recommend this sit and would do so again if the timing works!
Ansley and Deniz were so kind, communicative and welcoming from the get go and we felt very comfortable in their beautiful home. The location is lovely, with a sunny balcony and lake view which is only a minutes walk away! Guinness, the cutest little dog with bundles of good energy, who we enjoyed exploring the lake front with, playing and cuddling. Guinness will brighten your day - guaranteed.
Looking after Ryker and Tandee was a complete dream, we both fell head over heels in love with these two beautiful souls and have missed them since the moment we drove away. Geoff and Ann’s home is beautiful with the most incredible calming energy and exquisite serenity, they invited us for dinner the night before, where they went out of their way to welcome us into their home, exceeding anyones hospitality by catering for my complicated dietary needs and remarkably making sure every detail small and large had been thought of for our comfort during the sit, their hospitality and kindness is just incredible. The hinterlands are divine and although we are Sunshine Coast locals we still found a multitude of beautiful places in the area to explore that we had never seen, we can’t recommend house sitting for Geoff and Ann enough. If you are lucky enough to get a chance to meet them , and the legendary Ryker and Tandee don’t let it pass you by 🐾.
We absolutely loved our time sitting in Peter and Jenny’s beautiful home! They were so welcoming and gave us clear instructions on caring for the pets, as well as suggestions of walks we could do with Sunka. They also left recommendations for things to see around Buxton - it is a lovely area. Sunka is such a sweet, loving dog who was full of beans and really enjoyed playing with us and the walks we went on. Milo was very easy to care for and loved curling up and letting us make a fuss of him. We didn’t see Lyla (however Peter and Jenny reassured us this is normal) but left food out for her. We highly recommend this sit and would come back any time!
