Bob was a new owner of Jake and so he was very cautious about directions. We did have to change some medications and go to the vets for food and meds and it all worked perfectly. The house is gorgeous but make sure that you only walk on past the border of the house at night. Golfers will tell you that you are not to be on the greens. :) we felt very comfortable in the house and with Jake. Of course the area is also awesome. I work online and never had an issue with the wifi. The neighbors were all willing to come out and talk whenever we were outside.
This sit was an absolute dream. Caro and Nick were both very communicative since the very first call. They both welcomed us on the day before the sit, made a delicious dinner for us, gave us all the instructions and even showed us the dogs' daily walk. They were also very communicative while they were away and left a very detailed sheet with all the instructions, which was very helpful. Caro's dad, Bay, is also lovely and doesn't live far away. We even went to his place for a drink one of the days and had very interesting chats with him. They also welcomed our furry dog, Frida, who became very good friends with Tinkle, Noodle and Tala. These three are absolute lovely pets to look after. They are so well-behaved and cuddly. Also, they are trained with a whistle which makes the walks very easy. We got very attached to them in just a week, that we are going to miss them! Regarding the house, it is a complete quiet retreat. We loved spending time in the kitchen extension. We'd call it a green paradise as it is surrounded by silence and the beautiful fields and woods located in the heart of the Kent Downs. Canterbury is just half an hour drive and is a very nice city to visit while you are here. Would we go back to Caro and Nick's house to look after their furry friends? Absolutely YES!
Julie and Christian took us out for a wonderful dinner to a nearby French restaurant on our first night. Our weather was not the best but we were still able to explore a bit and see something of the area. The French Bulldogs were all different characters. Senior Mona Lisa who just toddled along during our daily walk. Lovable Georgie who would stop suddenly and frequently, to smell something but was very affectionate. Young Cuttie with lots of energy and spirit. The house and space was very comfortable. Julie was a star and drove us to our next house sit, an hour away. Thank you both for your hospitality and kindness.
I had a wonderful time in Copenhagen and can only warmly recommend this sit 😃. Why? - Yilan and Yannick gave me a warm welcome and showed me everything about the service. - The flat is very nice and bright and has an excellent location: supermarkets, restaurants and bakeries are just around the corner. You can get to the centre very quickly, a 5-minute walk to the metro station and then a short ride. Perfect. - And then of course there are Gugu and Fifi, two very cute and lovable cats and absolutely easy to look after. We had a lot of fun together and it was wonderful to play with them and also to watch them. - The welcome guide is very detailed and the information about the two cats is also wonderfully written. This sit was a great pleasure and a really nice experience for me.
One of the best housesits we’ve ever been to (and we’ve been to a lot!) It was fantastic in every way! Communication with Verity & Stephan was easy - they prepared very detailed manual that covered everything we needed to know. We were always able to get in touch with them and if we had any questions during our stay, answers were always prompt. They are very generous, friendly and overall great people ;) Verity and Stephan prepared a room for us with our own private bathroom. We absolutely loved the design of apartment and attention they put into every detail - spending time there was almost like staying inside best boards of Pinterest )) Apartment is roomy, well-equipped (it even has a projector, which we used to watch movies!) And you won’t find better location to stay in Barcelona - apartment is right in the heart of the city (Gothic quarter), yet on a quiet street. Lots of places to eat, drink and buy food around, and it’s walking distance from looots of great sights. Quipu is an adorable, loving and very friendly cat. He slept in the room with us - we didn’t mind, he was very careful not to wake us up before 7 am. Then he worked as a very cute, but persistent alarm )) We managed to sleep in a few times, but we were prepared for his schedule - Verity and Stephan told us that he is used to playtime in the morning, so no surprises and complains, we were happy to wake up & play with him. He is an awesome jumper, you won’t believe the moves he can do! He likes to spend time around people - when we were home he always came and stayed somewhere close. Barcelona is amazing destination for a vacation and Quipu is great companion, so we can only give our highest recommendation!
Craig and I had a wonderful time in Cheltenham looking after Finnley. Finnley is a pleasure to walk, he is great on the lead, fantastic company in the flat and very adaptable and patient considering he was wearing a cone for the two weeks. Lindsay's garden flat is beautifully finished, really well equipped and very comfortable. Patio doors opening on to their lovely private garden make for a calm, quiet and peaceful space. Lindsay provided really helpful maps and information on the area. The shops and walks around the area are so easy to access direct from the door, such a varied choice of a short walk to town, round historic streets or beautiful green parks or on an energetic day up to Leckhampton hill. Lindsay was a great communicator from start to finish, was well organised and generously allowed us to arrive early when our previous plans changed. It was lovely to spend time with Lindsay before she left, she was warm friendly and we enjoyed her chat. We highly recommend a sit in Cheltenham and would happily return in the future. Thanks again.
