Doug and Alannah were amazing!! Extremely kind and caring individuals. From our very first conversation it was clear that there first concern was about our little Finley! They took amazing care of our home and our fur baby! We received updates and photos and it really allowed us to enjoy our time away without concerns for our home or Finley. When we came home it was so clear Finley had been taken care of and spoiled all week! Our home was so tidy and clean - they took care of our home as if it was their own! Highly recommend them! Such wonderful people!
We had such a lovely vacation at Julian's and Claire's beautiful and very comfortable home! The dogs as well as the cat are so wonderful to have around. Very cuddly and friendly. The horses and chicken are easy to care for. The view from the house is so stunning as well as the whole Dartmoor national park - what a stunning place for hikes! Julian and his family are very friendly, relaxed and easy to communicate with. They gave us clear caring instructions as well as lots of great tips of things to explore in the area. We highly recommend this house sit!
We loved our home and pet-sit for Jilly and her husband Dom in their beautiful home. They are very welcoming, friendly, entertaining and generous hosts who gave us lots of local tips and couldn't do enough for us, including a delicious dinner when we arrived. Jazzy is a really affectionate, lovable and well behaved spaniel, who thinks she is still a puppy, always enjoying being in the middle of all the action. We loved our time with her, so easy to look after. Their magnificent old house has been thoroughly renovated but retains many of its old features and charm; it's very clean and tidy and easy to keep that way. Our bedroom was beautiful and spacious, with a very comfortable bed and high quality bed linen. The beautiful garden was also very easy to maintain, and the property includes a large field next door. Our bedroom had a very comfortable bed with beautiful bed linen and spectacular views. The spacious kitchen is very well equipped, and also has spectacular views over the beautiful countryside. The home is on the edge of a village of magnificent old houses and farms, so it's really quiet, being surrounded by fields and woods, and we loved walking the many pathways and lanes. We loved our stay here and, if invited, we would certainly return for another house and Jazzy-sit; we highly recommend it. Robin and Mary
Thanks Lynda and Howard for welcoming me into your home this week. Pierrot & Tippy tail were very easy to look after and fun characters. Pierrot is great out on walks-very keen to meet other dogs and a gentle, friendly boy. The local area is perfect for beautiful walks nearby and a great base to explore further into Suffolk and Norfolk too.
I really enjoyed petsitting here! The house is very nice, and I was very comfortable there (especially because it snowed a lot!). I had never been to Edgewater but it’s a cute and safe town with an easy bus to and from the city nearby, a short walk to Whole Foods, and a beautiful path by the water just a few blocks away which was a great spot to walk Bella. Speaking of Bella! She packs a lot of personality in that little body!! She is really sweet and easy to care for. She will inform you when it’s time to play every evening! She loves playing tug with her many toys and being chased around the living room! Gracie was very communicative and helpful and kind, and she gave clear instructions and was readily available to answer questions. Also enjoyed the exercise room with bike and weights, and the nearby yoga studio (good intro offer with free mats if you don’t have one). Grateful for this experience and definitely recommend!
It's always lovely to meet people with similar interests in life. In Sue's case, she is a fellow campervan owner who loves to get away and explore new areas. Sue was very welcoming and prepared a meal for us to chat over on my first evening with her. She was very thorough in showing me around her quaint home and the 'quirks' of the property. Lottie and Skye were awesome! Skye was initially a little reluctant with me but after a couple of walks and a game or two of fetch (a ball) in the back garden, we were best buddies and she was always eager for a stroke and fuss. Lottie is a typical Jack Russell. Full of character. She's the first long-haired JR I've actually met. She has a lovely temperament. Both are good on the lead with the occasional gentle reminder of correction for Lottie who can get a little overexcited like most terriers. We enjoyed lovely walks around Great and Little Gransden which in themselves are lovely villages. There is a windmill a few hundred meters down the road from Sue which was just having its new blades fitted whilst I was there. I really did enjoy my sit for Sue and the girls and was rather sad having to say goodbye to them. I hope to be able to sit for them again in the future and would highly recommend this sit to anyone who likes a more rural setting and the quietness that comes with it.
A huge thank you to Steve who was more than kind and hospitable to me, even picking me up and dropping me off in the next village. Steve's house is modern and very comfortable and set in a delightful rural location with some lovely walks. Olly is gorgeous...still really just a big daft puppy. He is so friendly and sweet, but just a little bit naughty. I had a lovely week and would be more than happy to come again. Thank you Steve and Olly.
