Delightful family, good notes on important things should they be needed. Lovely house, garden and location. Geese and chickens were easy to care for and the cat was so friendly and loved having attention, joining us most days on the bed for our early morning tea!
Definitely recommend this sit.

Ch'aska
I had an excellent experience caring for Topi and Uchu. Uchu loves to lay in your lap and snuggle. She also enjoyed playing games. And Topi was a trip, he scampered around the office while I was working.
The directions that Ch`aska left were thorough and I loved the calendar reminders for specific tasks. It was extremely helpful. I was able to meet Ch`aska and Turpana in person. They were wonderfully kind and accommodating. Between the owners and the pets, I didn't want to leave!
The beautiful home is close to the park, the botanical gardens, and plenty of restaurants and cafes.
10 out of 10 sit!

When I reflect on this sit, I see roses, roses roses, lavender and a calm in the evening that few of us ever experience. Part of the sit involved watering newly planted summer bedding and relatively new herbaceous and perennial shrubs. What a delight in the darkening sky!
Sarah and Rob are the friendliest couple you could meet. Gracious ,generous, supportive and appreciative. Sarah wisely showed me Maisie's riverside walk , through National trust fields, past gentle grazing cattle, through lilies of the field, and to the river Test where little Maisie had her daily dip ! She is such a sociable little darling , mixing easily with greyhounds, spaniels , any dog who turned up at the river was a potential friend. No problem at all off the lead bouncing along on her little legs and giving me the occasional glance of reassurance from her sweet alert little eyes. On a personal level, I found the folk of Stockbridge very, very pleasant. It's beautiful. I'm so sorry I am already committed on the next sit dates, but believe me , you will love it. Oh sorry ! How could I? Frank is a legend even though his owner informed me that he was a coward !! Poor Frank . A big gentle ginger Tom . Adorable. And a great sleeping companion!!

Wow what a wonderful experience! Liz is so welcoming and thoroughly prepared for every possible situation. She really went out of her way to make sure I was comfortable. Willow is a cuddly sweetheart! I miss her already. She is highly intelligent, sensitive, and responsive when called. I look forward to returning someday.

Ann
I had a comfortable, restful stay at Ann's home in Longmont, Colorado, with her two cats, Etok and Amber. Her home is clean and peaceful, located in a quiet neighborhood with easy access to stores and restaurants. Ann and I met beforehand to go over caring for her cats. Her instructions were very clear and it was easy to communicate with her before and during the sit as needed. She is very sweet and I would recommend this sit!

The positives:
The house is located in Bewdley which is a lovely little town on the river Severn and is part of the Severn Valley Railway line, which we definitely recommend. The house is located in a quiet cul-de-sac overlooking the countryside, but it is at the top of a steep hill if walking or there is a bus every hour to near the top.

Mint and Phoenix took a few hours to warm up to us but then were very enjoyable company. Both were very affectionate and Mint enjoyed sitting on our laps in the evening and Phoenix loved a good stroke. They were both able to be let out in the back garden and came back in with a shake of their treat box. There was also Oreo, the gerbil, who we absolutely loved. She was so inquisitive and seemed to respond to our voices.

The negatives:
Overall, the cleanliness of the house was fine but there were a few issues such as hairs left in the bath and poo marks in the toilet. There was also only 2 toilet rolls left for both of us for a 6 day sit.
There was also only a quarter bag of cat litter left which meant we had to go to the shop to buy a 20L bag, as we wanted to get the same litter as the cats usually had, which then had to be carried to and from the bus stops. Sarah reimbursed us for this using the money from a guitar sale which a man came to collect during the sit, which we felt we had to do as we were obviously in the middle of the sit.
Similarly, the biggest issue we had was Sarah's ex partner coming in to the house to collect clothes and a bike for Sarah's son. Sarah's partner had text me on the Friday at 2:30pm saying that he would be coming around 4:30pm but as we had no prior warning we were already out for the day. I responded that we would be out and asked if he was flexible on timings but received no response. Then when we arrived home we found a package, that we had brought in for Sarah, had been ripped open and a box taken out and then when we went upstairs, the son's drawers had also been opened. I then text Sarah that it appeared someone had been in the house and was informed that Sarah's ex had a spare key and had come over that day to get the bike and clothes. I sent Sarah pictures of the opened parcel and informed her that we were not comfortable that someone had been in the house when we weren't there with all our belongings out. We didn't feel that safe after this knowing that someone had been in the house and could have come in again if they'd wanted to.

The pets and location made for a lovely sit but these incidents upset us and made us feel uncomfortable, especially as we have not experienced anything like this on a sit previously.
