This was a great sit. The pet parents Camellia and her Mom, Mary, met with us the day before and introduced us to the pets, the home and the neighborhood. They literally took the time to walk us through the Ajijic neighborhood and show us various stores etc... That proved to be super helpful later. The neighborhood is busy and has many restaurants , markets and entertainment in walking distance. Lake Chapala is also in walking distance. The home is clean and modern with all of the essentials. The fur babies Girlie and Quantico were polar opposites but a pleasure to care for. Quantico is very vocal but laid back and sweet. She spends most of day sun bathing, eating and asking for belly rubs. I brushed her everyday and gave her plenty of belly rubs. It took her a few days to get used to us. She spent one day under the bed but eventually she came around. She did have an accident or two but I was fine with cleaning it up and washing the blanket. Girlie is the more active and demanding one but she is very sweet too. She likes to jump and watch everything and everybody. You will find her on top of the love seat in her room in the window or in a chair under the dining table. She will sleep with you and wake you up in the morning. She will also try to nip at you if she's not happy but that didn't bother me. The biggest challenge about this sit is keeping the cats separated. They cannot be in the same room at the same time. I was fortunate to always remember to keep the doors closed so there wasn't any fighting when I was there except for them hissing at each other through the door. Overall it was a really great sit in a beautiful, secure and quiet apartment with two wonderful but different cats. Camellia and her Mom will give really clear instructions and will always be available by phone and text. I sent them pics or video and texts everyday. They are very kind and accommodating. I would definitely recommend this sit.
Melitta & Brian and their family were very welcoming and we appreciated the lovely meal they prepared for us on arrival and getting to know Isla. Melitta showed us Isla’s favourite walks and explained her routine as well as giving us lots of useful information about the area. Isla is a lovely chilled out dog and we loved looking after her and took her everywhere with us. She travels very well in the car. The chalet is beautiful and the views are amazing. We really enjoyed looking after Isla and miss her.
Mariana is a sweet host. She is very communicative and attentive. However there were not enough cleaning products in the house to maintain a single space studio with 2 cats and one human. The place has poor ventilation so not recommendable for summer. Her expectations aren’t reasonable for the overall conditions.
Sam is a lovely senior gentleman and we loved spending time with him. He’s full of character and a very sweet boy. Justin and Phil are perfect hosts. We’re already looking forward to seeing Sam again in July!
Really nice people. The fur babies are sweet. Stanley is very excitable but fun. Joey keeps to himself. Leia will warm up over time and is so soft. The neighborhood is great and there are several things walkable.
We were made super welcome by our generous hosts. Big and comfortable home, and although rural lots of pretty villages and places of interest only a short distance away. The communication with Rosie was excellent throughout. Mango, Maple, and Pepper were great company,well behaved, and easy to care for. We walked several times a day straight from the doorstep, there is acres of farm land, and the scenery is stunning. We really hope we will be able to help out again.
