Sue and David were very welcoming and made us feel at home right away. They live in a beautiful house with an amazing garden, a few minutes away from the village. Even though it is February, we always had something new to do and were never disappointed thanks to Sue’s and David’s recommendations. Loro Piceno is small and lovely. You can find everything you need: there are two supermarkets, a weekly market, a fisher truck twice a week, a few cafés with cornetto, a pasta shop and a very cosy wine bar! The hens are very easy to take care of. You only need to visit them twice a day, but we bet you will go visit them more... they are very cute with their fluffy butts! The cottage was perfect for us. It has lots of space, a terrasse with a great view on the hills and is well equipped for cooking. It is right next to the house, but it is quiet and intimate. We loved this little oasis so much that we have already planned to come back! Many thanks to Sue and David for their trust and their kindness :)
Akua, is a super friendly cat and he didn’t mind pettings from day one, so Akua took the opportunities to get in as much as possible through out the days and during the 2 feeding times daily. Naia, a bit shy at first, but after a couple days of treats & feedings, she came by the sofas for some extra TLC. Naia even brought home a gift caught from the outside after the 3rd day. :) There’s a saying “sharing is caring” and I believe, Naia likes me but according to AnnMarie, I’ve been initiated to the club. Yeah!! Kamea was probably the shyest of the three but once she got familiar with the new “fabulous” care taker, Kamea was asking, where’s that TLC my brother Akua and sister Naia has been telling me about. By the end of the sittings, they all showed up in the guest room knowing the departure date is here and would followed me. Awwwww! Sitting around the kitchen table or from the patio looking toward Carmel Valley with the bright sunshine, the lush valley, the fragrance of the flowers and the sound of the water fountains, it truly felt like I was in the Hawaiian country side. It’s WILD!! AnnMarie, through many years of love and dedication created a REAL virtual presence of an Hawaii sanctuary in Carmel-by-the-Sea. She started with an ideal canvas (surroundings) and through sweats & love for sure, created a WONDERFUL retreat. A must house/pet sitting in beautiful Carmel-by-the-Sea.
We had an absolutely delightful sit at Gina and Matthew’s beautiful home. They were extremely hospitable hosts and made us feel so welcome. We fell in love with their adorable dogs, Boris, Luna and Cali, and were sad to say goodbye to them. Gina and Matthew kindly invited us for a fantastic meal the evening before they left and explained everything we needed to know about caring for their dogs and their home. They took us on a walk with the dogs to show us their usual walks and to enable us to get a feel of the surrounding area, which was so helpful. The welcome pack was comprehensive and they informed us of the best places to visit and provided maps and interesting information about the local area. Communication was great prior to and throughout the sit and they were responsive to any contact whilst they were away. We enjoyed fabulous walks with their lovely dogs in stunning scenery. We are very grateful for the lovely experience we had during our sit.
We had the best time looking after Jaap and Charlie in beautiful Singapore. The house was stunning, clean and perfect to work from. Close to transport and easy to travel from. But what we loved the most were the fur babies! Jaap is such a character and we loved getting to know is quirks and routines. He was visibly sad for the first few days when Emma, Dennis and Indie left, but he warmed up to us after that and enjoyed our company, especially when working from the office! Charlie was the cutest fluffy boy and sat on the yoga mat with me almost everyday. We had a wonderful experience, communication was great despite the time difference and we would love to be back at any time!!! Thank you so much for having us ❤️🐱🐶
I looked after Bacini in Vicenza and loved spending time with him. Kelly is a great host, communication prior to and during my stay was great and Kelly provided me with information on places to visit. Bacini is absolutely adorable, he loves human company and will snuggle on your lap at every opportunity! I returned to look after Bacini in Pozzuoli over Christmas 2019 and can highly recommend it! It was great to meet Kelly and her family again and I was so happy to see Bacini who is such a character, still adorable, still loves cuddles and can't get enough of playing ball! Again, communication with Kelly was great, she provided me with information on places to visit and was keen to ensure I enjoyed my stay which I definitely did! The house is lovely, well situated with great views, lots of room and is clean and comfortable. There's lots to do locally, with easy access to Naples, trains are really easy to navigate and quite cheap! I would highly recommend this sit if you get the opportunity.
