What a wonderful dog and house sit! Mary and Bill are a delightful, generous, thoughtful and friendly couple. We now consider them friends. Barclay is a wonderful dog who stole our hearts. He is a well behaved, happy, loving dog. His sweet and loving personality is impossible to resist. We thoroughly enjoyed looking after Barclay, walking him twice a day and watching him play with other dogs, as well as playing hide and seek his toys around the house. The house is beautiful, very clean and comfortable. The gourmet kitchen had everything we needed. Mary and Bill took the time to write a very detailed Welcome Manual and instructions, which made it easy for us to look after Barclay, the house and plants. Thank you, Mary and Bill, for entrusting us with your adorable Barclay and your house. We were sad to leave Barclay and we miss him! We would be honored to be invited back and happy to be reunited with Mr. Barclay. We highly recommend this dog and housesit.

Ah guys. What an experience.

Well... I had a lovely time with Cocoa and as the guys know since day one I could be writing and talking about the experience with her for hours. But I'll keep it short and give out the points I think somebody wouod like to know beforehand.

1. Accessibility.
Well it is fairly easy to access. Considering the fact that I was there now in the winter. The welcome guide has sufficient information for all of your questions getting there, but what I got from Kate and Alex is the very kind willingness to help me with any questions regardless. But still. Make sure you are friends with the welcome guide cause it's gonna make you more confident about the whole experience.

2. The place, Lüneburg.
Again, I was there December to January so the weather was... funny 😅
But if you are lucky like I was then you get to experience the magic of the snow there and if you are Well dressed it is not bad to walk in the rain, after all.
Lüneburg itself was more quite than I wanted it to be (haha), but this is because I am really looking for vivid opportunities to connect with humans everywhere I go, and I actually found it halfway in my stay there already. If you are bit more outgoing and extroverted like me then Hamburg is really not far to visit every once or twice a week. Cocoa is okay for smth like 6 hours alone. Also, there are students in the town to hang out with or Facebook groups for activities and what not. You'll find your way to connect with awesome people there if you are open and keep looking. That was a really important one for me and completed my overall wholesome experience of the sit.
There are options for every personality to be happy here I think.

3. COCOA.
Cmon. If you take a sit do it because you looove the gorgeousness in animals. Cocoa is a whole adventure herself and such a cuuute experience. That'd be better for both you and them if you chose it because you're really interested in dogs like her.

Cocoa, as the guys mentioned in their profile, is a rescue dog. She is reactive with men many times, bikes or running people going towards her AND she almost always reacts to other dogs when on the leash in a pretty obvious way. For me one of the things that concerned me the most is her reaction when seeing other dogs on the walk. It was unpleasant because I'm not a dog trainer so you basically can't really fix that. But you also don't have to.

She has absolutely gone a long way considering her past which, if you understand a bit about dogs, you'll sense she was a really scared dog and thus the insecurity that makes her reactive still in some situations. Thankfully for all of us and herself, there are always ways to enjoy the walk regardless of those.
You can find more dogs if you want her to socialise at a certain part of the park nearby but you really don't HAVE TO get yourselves in much of that situation because there are so many places you can explore that there's almost no-one, if you want more chill long walks. She is super good with her human (ABSOLUTELY THE SWEETEST with me in all situations, especially in the house) so giving her her space and trying to understand her needs and find ways to care for them in a respected and considerable manner while you enjoy yourself around her is enough for you to have a trully very good time in this experience.

That's it.
All else can be found in the welcome guide, and you will have a feeling about all, if you're really interested, once you have a chat with Kate and Alex.

Overall a great great experience. I learned, we chilled, enjoyed so many moments with her and the place is certainly worth to visit if it meets your orherwise criteria. Absolutely recommended

The home is beautiful and in the best location. They are very easy going, helpful and friendly. Rory is the goodest of boys and so loving. Highly recommend if you’re in the area!

Peter and I had a wonderful time staying at Natasha's place for ten days, looking after her two darling cats. Natasha was very welcoming and accommodating—overall, a great host.
It is evident that Godofredo and Theodoro are much loved. The apartment is full of cat trinkets and engineered climbing opportunities. We kept them indoors during our stay and they sweetly capered about the place.
The apartment is also comfortable for humans and has plenty of perks. It's located near a bus stop (3-min walk) and practically next to a Lidl.
Thank you for the lovely stay, Natasha!

I loved sitting for Megan & Clare and their sweet little fam!
Their home is located in a super peaceful farmland area with a huge yard and expansive meadow just beyond. Sometimes a car might drive by once an hour! It's so very zen, as are their pets! We enjoyed lots of outdoor time - all 3 cats and 2 dogs are invisible fence trained and love being outside! So much fun to watch them all exploring their world and I loved being a part of it.
Clare & Megan are kind, communicative and very conscientious pet parents.
I highly recommend :)

This was a short, last minute sit but it couldn’t have gone more smoothly. I was made to feel extremely welcome by Rachel and Simon for the comprehensive handover, and Alfie is an absolute sweetheart… wary at first but if you give him quiet tlc he will reward you with the most fulsome purring!
The weather was very kind for January in Devon, and I spent every day exploring the little town of Torrington and its glorious surrounding countryside. The Puffing Billy railway café is a must! I would definitely look after Alfie for Rachel and Simon again and highly recommend this sit.
