My husband and I had a wonderful stay in the lovely home of Victoria and David. We really loved getting to know Kevin, he is such a sweet-tempered and easy going gentleman. He was so easy to care for and we loved his lap snuggles and morning greetings. He enjoyed a daily romp outside and always came right back inside. He was easy and delightful to care for! The home is located in a quiet residential neighborhood, not far from downtown Portland, and has all you need for a comfortable stay, including a pool. We focused on keeping the pool as clean as we could through a few summer storms! Victoria kindly recommended a hiking trail right from the house and we had a great time exploring the Presumpscot Preserve River Trail; lovely and never crowded. She also gave us some great restaurant recommendations and ideas for things to do in charming Portland. We had the best meal at Scales and highly recommend it if you like fresh seafood. This is a wonderful sit and you will really enjoy getting to know sweet Kevin. Thanks to Victoria for the great communication and responsiveness!
Mr. Moo was a delight to look after. He seemed to take a little bit to warm up to me. I'm not sure if he just needed some time or if it was the additional serving of treats that did the trick (as he LOVES food), but whatever it was, it tugged at my heart strings and I enjoyed bonding with him. Also noteworthy if you're going to watch him, he seemed to love to have his head rubbed. Sarah and Gus were lovely as well. They made the stay very easy and comfortable. Thank you again for choosing me!
Well what a delightful weekend on Hove. The house was lovely and the area was desirable. Great weekend stay with the cuddle hungry Jessie. Cannot wait to go back to an area I loved and a house that I was comfortable in.
Loved it! Harry was such an adorable little guy, so gentle and loving. Chasing the ball is his favourite thing and he did it, a lot! He was an absolute pleasure to look after. Karen and Alan were so very warm and welcoming, and their home and pool and outdoor area were just beautiful! It was also just a short 5 minute walk to the shopping centre to get groceries etc. There was a bus stop very close to the house as well, and the train station was a 10 minute drive away. I’d look after Harry again in a heartbeat, and highly recommend this house sit… Thank you Karen and Alan :)
I'm hesitant to speak too highly of Philippa and Martin and Eiggins and Wanda, in case it builds too much competition for their next sit!! 😆. Truth is they were all just wonderful ... excellent thoughtful communication, lovely home and garden environment and beautifully trained dogs. Wanda is full of beans and youthful energy, and Wiggins so mellow and well mannered. Their relationship is lovely to watch .. each looking out for the other along our walks and snuggling up on their bed. I hope to spend more time with them all some day. Thankyou all!!
I had a great time taking care of Jebi and Nabi, two precious and affectionate kitties. Borah was extremely communicative and collaborative throughout the sit, even though she was out of the country. Her apartment is located in a luxury highrise right near the ferry stop, making it easy to explore both Williamsburg and Manhattan. I feel very lucky to have taken care of Jebi and Nabi, and to have met Borah. Hope to see them again!
