I was the lucky one to be able to take care of Sid during Tish and David's vacation. Sid is the dearest little guy who I just love to pieces. He has no vision / hearing so I wanted to give him as much extra TLC as I could. He is so cute as he wanders around the house. If you've seen a Roomba bounce around the house - that's how Sid kind of is. When he's out on walks - he is happy as a lark going through the beautiful walking trails in and around their beautiful neighborhood. We did long walks around the nearby island that's covered in beautiful California-native gardens and then out to the Marine Stadium and crew base where I got to watch the boaters and skiiers cruising by. Sid's a wonderful doggie and companion. I miss him already! Tish and David went above and beyond in helping me get set up to take care of Sid and we were able to easily communicate while they were out of country. Their home, my room and their hospitality made it a wonderful stay. I even brought my inflatable kayak out of storage and was able to go kayaking in the bay, using the docks nearby. I am a very happy camper from my time taking care of Sid and would love to care for him any time they need me.
It was an absolute joy to be able to help Chelsea and Chris out by looking after their two cats - Cookie and Ginny. All instructions were easy to follow and straight forward. Thank you for sharing lunch with us prior to your departure. The sit was easy to arrange with a phone meet-up prior to us booking flights and arriving. The apartment is very easy care in a quiet, secure location to shops, restaurants and public/airport transport. Amazing views to watch the changing weather and cruise ships coming and going. Ginny and Cookie's routine is pretty easy to follow - they get vocal around feed times. Otherwise they can be found sleeping in their hammocks or playing with their toys. We would encourage any opportunity for others to have this amazing experience in Mallorca. Thank you Chelsea and Chris for the opportunity.
We had a wonderful sit in an cosy and pretty house with the lovely Percy! Elisabeth and David had given us a great welcome with a nice dinner and an lovely evening. Next day Elisabeth has shown us everything with Percy routines and walks. It was so gentle, that she showed us the surrounding by car, which is very green, quiet and with little towns, which had all shops which we needed for the daily need. Exeter, Dartmoor and the coasts are also nearby. Percy adopted us very shortly. He liked his walks and loved being with us on the way. He is very curious, friendly to all people and dogs. He liked playing and taking a bath. He has such a lovable personality! When we have been on the way there were so much people, which wanted to be in contact with him! It was a great pleasure to be with him. We miss really him! Thank you for chosing us.
This was a wonderful sit. I can not recommend sitting for Laurie enough! She was so kind, welcoming and considerate. Very thorough house notes, quick response communication. Max was adorable. He slept alot and kept to himself but was open to pats and quick cuddles. Very chatty when going out to the yard but that's just an old pup thing once their hearing starts to go. He very happy to stay out in the yard if you are out there too (hot tub is delightful!) His cough medicine was easy to give when you were quick - only had to do twice during the week. The house is so lovely! Very very clean and oozing natural light. So relaxing. Beach is only a street away, amazing walking areas. Can hear the waves lapping at night time when outside. 100% recommend coming to sit for Laurie
I had a lovely time with Tchoupie. Margaux communicated with me and was extremely helpful. Her Welcome pack was very informative. The unit is lovely and close to public transport I would recommend this sit to anybody.
Although I didn’t end up housesitting for Christine, she was really lovely to deal with. She went out of her way to find me alternative accommodation due to the last minute cancellation, which I didn’t avail of but really appreciated. When both Christine and her husband were sick with COVID, she was more concerned about my plans and tried to help in any way possible. A very nice, kind person to deal with. I have no doubt that Christine and her husband would be lovely to housesit for.
