Loved Jody’s home and neighborhood that I got to enjoy for the week! Callie is super sweet. Sleeps a lot, is curious about her housesitter and warms up as the days go on. Jody was communicative when I had a few questions during my stay. nice People!
A very pleasant experience on a large estate with an adorable dog. The apartment was comfortable, with amenities in the complex also available for our use. The hosts were well organised, welcoming and hospitable. A recommended sit
If I could give Karen a 6 thumbs up I would. Not only was she understanding of every situation I had to contact her for, but both her and her husband welcomed my father and I with welcoming arms. We came the day before and drove 15 hours from Ohio to Florida, and she showed me around the entire house the next day, which was SO convenient in the kitchen and for the pets’ food/treats. The house was also very welcoming and the guest room/guest bathroom was spacious and clean. I was taken out the morning they were leaving and was shown where to walk Fozzy and how to pickup after him properly. Fozzy… my little rascal- I wish he was my own pup! VERY well behaved, VERY sweet, and SO lovable. He definitely is the head honcho of the house, sometimes batting the cats around (only if they’re doing something they shouldn’t be doing- he knows their names lol) I walked Fozzy lots and made sure to interact with Karen’s friends who also know Fozzy. I steered clear of other pups, just because Fozzy isn’t 100% good to be around dogs he doesn’t know. The two kitties, Zorro and Diego, we’re very much so house cats. Not too affectionate, but loves to be up in your business lol. They will come to you when they want love (or treats, LOTS of treats!) and loved chilling by the pool with me. Diego did get on the counters at times when I was prepping their food, in which I shooed him off and make sure to do that everytime. I felt very safe in their neighborhood and the neighbors were sweet and always waved when my father and I went outside. One thing to keep in mind is that the animals are early birds and the cats will start meowing around 6:30-7 am. I usually did get up at 6 am and started coffee to wake up. Just make sure you’re on a good schedule!
It was a true pleasure to take care of Walter and Olive. Walter is equal parts regal, gorgeous and playful, and sometimes a tiny bit stubborn. It kind of cracked me up when he would just decide, hey, I'm not going anywhere, in the middle of a walk. Having treats handy helps with any stubbornness you might encounter on his walks. Fanny let me know all about Walter's quirks beforehand, so I knew how to cope with whatever came up. Olive is just a little love bug, and easily warmed up to me, joining me on the couch and purring contentedly. Which made for a bit of a crowd because Walter also stakes out his place on the couch. So I'd have one hand on Walter and one on Olive, while kicking back and watching something interesting on the screen. Fanny's apartment is spacious, neat and organized. It's perfectly located to easily access both downtown Wilmington and Wrightsville Beach. Fanny had some great suggestions for dining and I recommend trying any or all of them! I recommend this sit! 😻
Sophie & CoCo were absolutely delightful and my entire family thoroughly enjoyed caring for them! Kay & Bernie were kind, communicative, and helpful. Their home is lovely and excellently equipped. Instructions for the dogs' care were clear and make their routines and medical needs simple and seamless. Absolutely recommend this family and their pets for sits with no hesitation and hope to come back again to stay with Sophie & CoCo!
We throughly enjoyed looking after this wonderful cat and beautiful home. Loki is mild mannered and just a joy to hang out with. We truly miss this guy. Especially his little face pressed against the screen when he wants in:) Loki’s home is lovely, has a stunning view over the bay and is in a great location for endless forest walks and all that Bellingham has to offer. Fred is a great communicator and we highly recommend connecting with this wonderful couple if you have a chance:)
