Even before we met, Anna Katrin was very welcoming to me, communicative and even picked me up from my shuttle stop. Anna Katrin's apartment was very cozy and conveniently located to a city pool and to Downtown Reykjavik. Krummi and Emma were the highlights - Emma is a sweet cat who loved being petted, scratched on the face, and accepted my kisses on the head, all while gazing into my eyes. Krummi is a fun, spirited boy who loves his walks and being chased around the apartment with his stuffed bear in his mouth. During my week long stay, I managed to not just explore Reykjavik, but took day trips to the Blue Lagoon, Volcano Tour, and whale watching, all without leaving Krummi home more than 6 hours at a time. I recommend this sit and thank Anna Katrin and Greg sincerely for welcoming me and letting me stay with their "babies"!
we did not receive a welcome guide something to do with Trusted Housesitters and their membership. We were asked to come as late as [possible as they were painting the guest room. On arrival we were offered a glass of water and there was hardly any room in the fridge for our food. In our room there was nowhere to put or hang our clothes. We didn't really feel that welcomed. Remi was lovely loved his walks but got fixated by seeing any critter and would not move for 10 minutes but was helped if given treats which he loved. He soon warmed up to us and would cuddle on the sofa with us. The bed and house was comfortable. I even got in a swim in their unheated pool one day but did not care for the outside cameras
This was a wonderful sit. Leo and Foster are the sweetest most loving little guys! Being on a solo sit during the holidays these 2 gave me lots of kisses, cuddles, and love. Katie’s home is very nice and had everything I needed. The neighborhood is a wonderful place to walk and check out the Florida flora, the boys love their walks! It wasn’t warm enough to use the pool but it looked like it would be an awesome place to hang in warmer weather. The location is great being central to all the different spots in the area to check out. I would definitely come back if I had the chance.
Jenny and Tim were wonderful hosts and made us feel really at home. Extremely warm and welcoming and easy to communicate with. Their hospitality was just lovely and appreciated. Their home had everything - but most importantly their three lovely dogs. Lulah, a big lovely old lurcher who just ambles gently along with you at her own speed. Ailsa the whippet is such a loving dog, never leaving your side. Very sweet and affectionate (well, unless she thinks there’s a deer or a rabbit…), and Kalli the Greek rescue - Kalli who just sort of gets under your skin. Every night she curled up and slept with us and became more and more confident and becoming a second shadow, never far away. Her incredible strength when she decides she wants to walk in a different direction is amazing. And her ability to sit down ‘not move’ , becoming a lump of solid concrete, always amused us! The dogs are easy-going and enjoyable to manage, especially with the extremely clear instructions provided by Jenny. The house is in a lovely rural location with some great places to visit – especially Saint-Cirq-Lapopie, and of course Cahors. There is a hyper-abundance of really lovely tracks surrounding the house and environs. No shortage of variations for dog-walks. Orchids in the hedgerows we had not seen before. And an abundance of birds visiting the garden. The Causses de Quercy is a truly remarkable region. One thing that made the visit enjoyable for us is, although the house is in a peaceful and quiet area, there are neighbours to say ‘bonjour’ to when you are out-and-about, which helps you feel a part of the community as opposed to an interloper. In short – a truly excellent house sit!
It was a pleasure to spend a week with Ophelia and Cosmo. Ophelia is a homebody and was very happy to hang out while I was at my computer. Cosmo uncannily knows what time to come back to the house at the end of his long day in the hood. Because he likes to wake up his person at the crack of dawn, Kathleen has the excellent solution of putting him in the spacious laundry room at night. He's happy, we're happy! The house is quiet and spacious, well-located for easy drives to Tanglewood, Jacob's Pillow, Mass MOCA and the Clarke, as well as the towns of West Stockbridge and Lenox. Kathleen was available when needed--friendly, helpful, communicative.
This was our first sit through Trusted Housesitters and, I have to say, we totally lucked out! The two dogs were an absolute joy to look after. Buddy - with his fun, happy-go-lucky nature who cracked us up every day, and Treacle - who loved to quietly observe from his armchair with his 'all-seeing eyes'. Buddy was always happy to hop in the car with us for an afternoon out, whereas Treacle mainly preferred to stay home after a long country walk, although we did manage to take him with us on local car trips, provided one of us sat with him in the back. The stunning 15th century farmhouse in a beautiful rural location was a very welcome bonus, and we were treated to a lovely room in the eaves with an en suite loo and amazing views across the countryside. Sarah and Richard are so friendly and I'd like to think we've made some good chums. Prior to the sit, we had a few video calls to get to know one another, and on the day we arrived they'd organised dinner and a bottle of wine to help us settle in. So generous & thoughtful! We had a few hours before they left for their trip, in which they gave us a tour of the property and talked us through the very useful handover notes. We communicated several times whilst they were away with photos and 'pupdates' so, once they knew their fur babies were in safe hands, they were able to relax and get on with enjoying their holiday. Sarah & Rich were happy for us to bring our own dog, Mitzy, along to the sit which was brilliant as she goes everywhere with us. She's getting on a bit now so the steep, narrow stairs were a bit tricky, as were the low ceilings and doorways for us lanky people, but we adapted very quickly and it all adds to the quirky character of the house. The nearest town of Framlingham is charming, with everything you need including an amazing butchers (best pork pie we've ever tasted), a well-stocked Co-op supermarket, some cracking pubs and a Castle no less! We would have no hesitation in looking after Buddy & Treacle again, as we miss them already. We do, however, tend to move on and explore pastures new so, in the event we can't return, I would highly recommend this sit to dog lovers who want to get away from it all and explore the beautiful county of Suffolk, with its pretty villages and never-ending skies. The folks from The Puppy Butler are fantastic! This was the first time we left our 2 young cats at home to go away on a vacation — and The Puppy Butler made us feel completely at ease & that our kitties were in the best of hands. I love Furry Buddies! Our two whippet dogs had the best team of walkers: Tracey, Corbey, Brian, and Carol Ann! Each walker treated our pups with kindness, gave them treats and toys, and absolutely left an impression. The dogs would wag their tails at the front door when a furry buddy walker was at the door! Truly excellent service, always on time, and reliable, and great value. I always felt comfortable and trusted the walkers. Very much recommend their services.
I used Furry Buddies for around 7-8 years. Everyone I met was kind, caring and extremely reliable. They communicated well and if one of the staff was planning a day off and they provided a replacement. I felt so comfortable and relieved knowing they were with my dog,Lexi. They would call or text me if they noticed anything different about her. Their daily notes were great and when I had to say goodbye to her at 15 years old I received cards and beautiful gift from her walker amd the owner made a donation in her memory to a local rescue. The owner is highly insulting and harasses her customers. She called twenty times just to confirm two visits. The subcontractor agreed to meet after the visits were completed and then declined. After all this, the owner wanted to charge extra.

I reached out to Ashley in a complete panic after the pet sitter I had hired was a no call no show to a meet n greet, a week before I was leaving the country for 2 weeks. My experience with Pooch Scoochers has been nothing but positive. The owner Ashley is very easy to get in touch with and shows a genuine interest in me and my dog’s needs. When I first moved to East Falls and had my new dog with me, I considered using one of the dog walking apps. Because of my apartment complex, I realized it would be too complicated explaining to a new dog walker each time where to go and how to get in. Pooch Scoochers was already very familiar with my complex and had multiple clients there already! There is a noticeable benefit to having the same 1-2 walkers for your pet, and their walkers are all fantastic. 100% recommend!!

Emily provides such loving care to my boy, Finley, and always gives me detailed updates on his walks/visits along with the BEST pictures. Emily is also great at keeping a watchful eye on him - she will notice if something is off about him (both physical and behavioral) and be sure to bring it to my attention which I appreciate so so much. I was off from work one weekday and decided not to cancel the walk - seeing how excited my dog was to see Emily and watch their interactions together made me feel so at ease. We’ve been using Pooch Scoochers for a few years now and we love them! You can really tell how much Ashley loves all of the dogs in her life. Our furbaby is lucky to have Ashley and the team as a best buddy while we are at work. We look forward to our daily message from our walker letting us know our pup was happy on his walk. We have been using Pooch Scoochers for over a year, once my dog required extra medical attention and could not go all day without meds or a walk. I used Manayunk Pooch Schoochers for the first time and it was an AMAZING experience. I met my walker and the owner in person previous to walking my pup for the first time and I loved them instantly. They are very professional as well as extremely personable. My dog walker is Stow and he LOVED his walk with her and cried when she had to leave. Their pricing is SUPER cheap and well worth every penny! (Make sure to tip your walker, they deserve it) After the walk was complete I got an email from my walker on how it went as well as tips on what would help me walk him better! Tracy has been pet sitting my cats for a while now, maybe 2 years(?), over which she has developed a good relationship with them all!! She has a lot of availability and she has reasonable rates. She does a great job making sure they are all well attended while we are out. It is hard leaving them since they are older and have some medicines they need- she takes care of it all. Really great to have Tracy taking care of our fur babies!
Tracy is remarkable. She has a gift for connecting with animals and is loving, kind and a best friend to my 86 lb shaggy pup! She has special bond with the all the animals in her care, and they can sense her love and devotion. My dog gets so excited for her walks and cuddle time with Tracy. I get nervous leaving my two cats because we are so attached but I would not trust anyone other than Tracy to care for them when I go away! They are not sociable cats but love Tracy and get obviously excited when they hear her voice, and I believe that that really says something about her as a person and animal lover! She has been available to cat-sit very last minute and is willing to do as many visits per day as my babies need. She sends daily pictures and updates. Tracy is very accommodating and you can tell she genuinely cares about both the pets’ and the owners’ needs. Highly recommend Tracy’s services whether for daily visits or occasional visits!!!

Needed a last minute solution to dog sitting, decided to try Judy’s from a friend referral, I was asked if interested in a complementary dog grooming, which turned out great. Apprently being new and upcoming business they have this promo for so many days of dog sitting or so. When I came to pick up Lady (my dog) she was outdoors and ready to go without any wait. Of course I will use again. Only problem was dog wasn’t that excited to see me as she was with previous sitters.

I have a larger puppy Bernese and he’s sometimes anxious. They were so good with him and kind. He looked fabulous. They gave him the entire royal treatment and took great care of him. They know how to work well with animals and are very careful and attentive.
I had to leave my baby (cat) for 2 weeks and was so nervous about leaving him anywhere but Hickory Inn really took care of him and emailed me with updates whenever I asked. They took wonderful care of my little angel and I highly recommend! The whole team was so nice and I could tell they cared a lot about our little furry friends. Thank you! <3
We have been boarding our boys and girls (Shih Tzus) at Hickory Inn for decades! We appreciate their loving care and wouldn't think of having someone else take care of them!
Never had an issue. Our dog is always clean and happy when we pick him up. Staff are friendly and courteous and respectful. They take him out a lot and don't keep him in the cage all weekend. Many walks and time with other pets. Our dog has a cough and we noted it and they saw that and took him for a medical checkup. They said it's an allergy and aren't alarmed by it. They are attentive to what conditions he has. The prices are to be expected. You pay for good care of your pet.
The staff is great and my dog enjoys her stay. They are connected to the hospital in case of an emergency. Many options for treats, bath and nail clippings for an additional fee.
Benny has been staying at Hickory since he was a Puppy. Anytime I go out of town, I know he's being taken care of. The staff that I have met over the years are great. A few faces have come and gone over the past nine years but most have been around a while. My only complaint is when they started changing their price structure around, but the new owner seems to be going back to the way it was before on pricing. He also is already improving other areas that were outdated (such as going digital vs paper). Update: it's been 11 years and Benny is still happy at Hickory. As with many places inflation has hit the price but I am still happy to leave Benny in their care because I know he is taken care of.
My name is Callie Wilder. I own 2 toy poodles. One is 6 months the other is a year. I went on vacation for 8 days December 23rd to 31st, 2012. I want to publicly say that it was a pleasant experience. I was permitted to bring their toys and food. I called three different times during the week to check on them, and they were doing fine. The staff is very friendly and the facility is very safe and clean. I was reluctant at first to use Hickory Pet Inn because of negative reviews on various sites. However,I would highly recommend this facility to any dog or cat owner. My dogs were clean, well feed, happy and in excellent health when I picked them up after an 8 day stay at the Inn. I will use them again in the future.
They take amazing care of us and our dog.
Great service and convenient location. We have boarded our large shepherd/husky dog here at least a dozen times. They require all dogs to be up-to-date on vaccines and shots. The staff is very friendly and accommodating.
Always a good experience for my large dog (100+ lbs). Employees are great and always take care of my best friend while I'm away. Price is kinda standard... Wish add-ons were a bit cheaper apart from standard boarding. Should be a bit more full-service.
Rosie is absolutely wonderful! She is not only reliable but also incredibly loving towards our dog. Every time we leave our pet with her, we have complete peace of mind knowing that she is in great hands. Rosie goes above and beyond to ensure our dog is happy, well-cared for, and safe. We also love all the pictures she shares with us of the activities our dog is doing! We couldn’t ask for better dog care and highly recommend to anyone looking for someone trustworthy and caring.
Rosie kept our dog overnight. Our dog can be nervous, especially around new people, but she warmed immediately to Rosie during our meet and greet time. In less than ten minutes my dog was sitting next to her getting her ears rubbed! Rosie was also careful to introduce our dog to her other boarders one at a time so that she could be sure that animals had good interaction and our dog was not overwhelmed. We will definitely place our pup in Rosie’s care again when needed!
Rosie has been caring for my 3 fur babies for a couple years now and always pampers my pooches to the point they don’t want to leave! I feel so very comfortable leaving my dogs with her and she always accommodates me the best she can (especially last minute). When I pick up the dogs, they honestly act as though they don’t want to leave. That is a true sign that they are loved and cared for by Rosie. I highly recommend her!
Rosie has been a phenomenal find! Our dog (3 year old goldendoodle) loves to stay with her in her home when we are busy or on vacation. She keeps in touch by sending pictures while we're away and our dog always looks so happy to be with Rosie and the other dogs. We will definitely be using her again - 5 stars!
Rosie is the best! My dog loves her daycare days to the point where it's almost impossible to get her in the car when I come to pick her up, even after a full day of playing. She always comes home happy and tired, and Rosie is so sweet with her. I can't recommend her and Main Line Dog Care enough!
We've boarded our 10 year old Havepoo Daisy with Rosie several times in the last year. Each time has been a very good experience for both Daisy and us. Rosie's love and commitment to the dogs in her care is always evident. She is reliable and very easy to work with. We highly endorse her for anyone looking for to board their dog in the Mainline PA area.
Rosie is incredible with our pup, Hobie. She is super flexible & she always sends photo updates so we can see how happy he is with his other fur friends. We are so lucky to have her! Highly recommend.
I wish I could give her more stars if I could! I was so lucky to have found Rosie back in 2020. I rescued my dog Winston in 2020 and was a little nervous finding care for him because he was quite reactive. Big dog boarding facilities were just too overwhelming for him. The one facility we tried, he would book it out the door as soon as you picked him up, just trying to get out asap! Now at Rosies, he runs right up to the door so excited to go in! She welcomes these dogs into her home like they are her own. She's so great with sending photos and the photos I receive always put a smile on my face knowing he has dog friends to hang out with, couches and beds to snuggle up on, and a big backyard to play in. It's so much more personal and home-like than a big boarding facility. As for the negative review, I would fully expect to pay for anything Winston might have destroyed of hers. This is her home and you're taking your dog there knowing that. At the end of the day, dogs are dogs. Your dog could have never chewed anything up in it's life and then just decides one day to chew something! As a millennial woman with no children, my dog is my child. He is my life. And I trust Rosie with him 100%! <3
We are so lucky we found Rosie! She cares for our 6 year old labradoodle Quincy like we do in our own home. She spoils him with daily walks and visits to the dog park. She makes our time away care free knowing he is with her. She sends pictures and updates and puts us at ease. She's a real dog lover! Quincy is the lucky one!!! Thanks Rosie!
Hi - I recently traveled to Europe for a week and Rosie watched my 2 Chesapeakes and did an amazing job. One of my dogs is epileptic and Rosie was great about giving him all his medications. I will definitely be using Main Line Dog Care again.
