Allison
Absolutely amazing sit. Shannon and Alison were determined to do their best to make us feel comfortable. We could come earlier and stay longer after sit ended. They showed us the house, explained Cherry's routines, recommended trips around city. The house is huge and comfortable with a beautiful garden. We could use bikes and a car, which made it even better, because Cherry was ready to explore with us. 5 minutes from the house is huge Nature Reserve where you can walk Cherry and watch kangaroos 🦘. Oh, a beautiful Cherry, kind, full of energy, but also a cuddly lady with gorgeous blue eyes we instantly fell in love with. She is easy going because she's so smart! We played a lot with a ball and frisbee, hide and seek and practise her tricks. We did a list of them because we couldn’t even remember them all! We will miss you all. We can comeback without thinking. Big recommendations 💚

John
John, his family, and his dog Pippi were great to work with. Pippi was so sweet and affectionate and I would offer to watch her again in a heartbeat. She was very obedient and I never needed to ask twice to get her into her crate. The house and neighborhood are gorgeous as well, conveniently located between 2 light rail stations and down the road from some great shopping.

Tegan
We enjoyed our time at Tegan and Jeff's apartment in a classic old Seattle building. Lucy was our first introdution to the Cymric, an utterly charming, alert and people-loving kitty whose eyes seemed always to be watching our movements. She was happy, loved her mealtimes, playtimes and snuggles. She quietly slept with us and politely waited til we awoke each morning. Her "housemate" Sweetie was more shy and aloof, but after a few days she accepted us and a few strategic pets on the head, enjoyed her drinks from the bathroom tap and time lounging in the bathroom or her bed in the hallway where she could keep her eye on things.
The building was secure and the apartment was comfortable with high ceilings and large old windows. The location couldn't have been more convenient for walks to beaultiful waterview parks and many restaurant options in the neighborhood. Jeff and Tegan left good instructions and were quick to respond to our parking and laundry questions. We'd gladly look after Sweetie and Lucy again.

Lynn
It was really nice that I was able to arrange a visit to Lynn’s in the month before the housesit began. She was able to show me around her lovely home and introduce me to the gorgeous Betty.
I received a really warm welcome on that visit and an equally warm welcome from Lynn & Ken when I arrived for the housesit. Lynn had prepared us a lovely meal (having already thought to check if I had any dietary restrictions) and we spent the evening chatting and getting to know each other. Betty was obviously a very friendly cat so I was looking forward to lots of cuddle (& I wasn’t disappointed).
Lynn is one of the most neat and organised people I have met. The home was spotless, everything was neatly stored and labelled and she had a written guide for me plus all the instruction booklets I could require.
The booking was for a month so I had already joined the local sports centre and library online, ahead of my arrival, both of which were just an 8 minute walk away. Asda, Boots, Greggs and a few other shops were in the same place too.
I joined the Berkshire Walkers FB group and did half a dozen really nice walks in Sonning, Reading & Caversham area. I went to Bracknell for the cinema and nice shopping centre.
Betty the cat was the most adorable cat. She was literally the most loving and affectionate cat that I have ever come across. She would cuddle on my lap at every given opportunity and lovingly lick my hand. I’m missing her already.
Lynn & Ken kindly let me stay an extra night to fit in with my next housesit which I really appreciated. I also left something behind (not unusual) which Lynn immediately offered to post on for me.
I thoroughly enjoyed my month in Lower Earley and was so comfortable in Lynn & Ken’s home. I would happily return to do another sit in the future.
