Pet Sitters in Ermelo

Buffy was pleased to have Corine stay with her last week. Very early on in our video call, I knew that her energy was perfect for Buffy. She is an excellent communicator and was quick to respond, which made me feel at ease. More importantly, Corine has a deep affection for animals, evidenced in part by her change in life path from textile logistics to training as a veterinary technician. When Corine arrived in Milano, Buffy fell in love with her right away, and they developed a close bond over the course of the week I was away as Buffy lived her best life at many great cafes and sights in Milano. Coming home was anticlimactic because Buffy was quite satisfied with Corine the week I was away and was largely indifferent to my return. As a side note, the apartment was clean and tidy. Corine is very kind, calm, and good-natured. If you are fortunate enough to receive an application from her for a sit, accept it. I know that Buffy would be happy to have her return anytime.

Melanka and Hora were great sitters and are welcome in our home again any time. They looked after our dog, cat and home as if they were their own. They kept in touch with us, took in home deliveries that arrived while we were away and Hora even did some repair jobs around the house which were much appreciated. We met with Melanka and Hora the night before we left on holiday and they are very nice people who I would recommend to anybody for looking after your home and pets.

We have only good things to say about Karina and Ton ! We felt from the outset that our house, garden and Gaston would be in very good hands with them. And so it was, no doubt. We wish them many happy sits, and first and foremost hope to have them back to sit for us again !!!

Monique and Louis were absolutely amazing with our girls, especially with our little rescue Darcy who can be shy and needs time to trust people. They came with their cute puppy Tiffany and it was a pleasure getting to know them. We shared some dinners and wines together and had a great time. They kept the house very clean and tidy. We would recommend them anytime!

I would thoroughly recommend Ineke as a Housesitter. She was extremely friendly and reliable and looked after our house and garden plus our dogs and hens. She watered the garden and looked after everything beautifully. She was unphased by people coming and going to the house and everyone commented on how efficient and nice she was. She sent me photos of the dogs while we were away to keep us posted and to let us know how she was getting on. Thank you!!

Christel was absolutely wonderful. She was very well organised, easy to communicate with, conscientious and attentive. Due to train cancellations I had to leave earlier than originally planned, but Christel's good organisation meant that she was able to arrive with plenty of time to spare and we could do the handover. She even kindly dropped me off at the station. I feel lucky to have had Christel as a sitter.

Manuela is a very sweet girl. She is social and kind to others. She helped my parents a lot (who live next door) and my mother really was a great fan of her. So she has good social skills. Manuela uses this site so she can find a place to stay, while she is looking for a job in the Netherlands or elsewhere in Europe. While she was staying in NL, she was following a study at the University. All that of course is not a problem at all; I realize that a lot of people here are using this site to find free or cheap accomodation. However this is a pet site, so the reliability and the quality of the petsitting should be the primary focus. 10 days before the sitting would take place, she informed me that she wouldn't be able to be present during the entire sit due to an in-person conference at the university that would last for a week. Of course this was less then ideal to me but since it was impossible to find another petsitter on such a short notice I went out of my way to find a replacement, and decided to pursue with her as my petsitter. However, half way during her stay she mentioned she would be gone for another week to do her exams at the university. So out of the entire month, she was only present for 50% of it. I had to make sure that I could find a replacement again. Luckily my stepdad was willing to take the care upon him. My pets are my babies so it is super important for me that the petsitter who applies for a period, actually is there the entire period. One of my cats, Frances was not eating well during her stay at my house. Of course that can happen; animals can get sick any time and that doesn't need to be a result of the care. However, my stepdad told me that the bowls in where the cats got their food in, were not clean and got dirty and even mold in it. When he stepped in and cleaned the bowls, Frances started eating again and after a couple of days he was back on his normal eating pattern. Another incident was with the rabbits, I gave her a manual in where I explicitly told her which veggies to give the rabbits and which not. I was not amused to see that she had fed them an entire plate of cut up carrots, while I had told her that they could only have a little piece of a carrot per day. My rabbits have supersensitive intestines and quickly to get gas problems. Carrots have a lot of sugar, so an entire plate can cause problems. Manuela did apply requests I made during my stay abroad; she did apply a spray against flies, when I asked her to and even washed one of the bunnies when that needed to happen. When I came home, I had to do some cleaning. Manuela hadn't noticed that the cats had been spraying on different places, including the kitchen counter and kitchen walls and cabinets. The state of the house was less important to me; I did notice she had cleaned the rabbit area very well so I was happy about that. I think Manuela did her best but just is a bit more casual about things then I would be.

Coming home after 10 days away we found the house clean and tidy. The dogs barely lifted their heads to greet us, as they had clearly become firm friends with Malou and Henk. How lovely to find such contented dogs on our return. They had been so well looked after, and Malou sent regular photos and updates of their adventures whilst we were away. We would highly recommend Malou and Henk-just beware your pets may have divided loyalties after their visit!!

Liv is really nice person that took care of Shiva and make sure the house is clean even and when she went to the beach after she made sure there won’t be any sand in the house vacuuming. Really recommended

Arianne and Pieter are great and reliable sitters. They looked after all our pets with such care and attention, we couldn't have asked for better sitters. We enjoyed their company at the beginning and end of the sit, a pleasure to know them both. Arianne and Pieter are welcome back anytime. Thank you!

Excellent experience with Eva & Leon watching our kitty, Ruby. Very good communication, trustworthy, and tidy. Ruby clearly loved their company based on the photos they shared. I can highly recommend them!

Els was wonderful! She really had her hands full with our young Boxer, Cosmo (the breed can hard work, particularly young ones) but she seemed to take it all in her stride. She definitely knows how to handle big dogs and Cosmo exhibited nothing but respect and affection towards her, i’m sure because of her very calm and assuring nature. She left our house super clean and tidy and even washed all the sheets/towels etc. that were used during her stay. And to top it all off, she left us some fabulous drawings of our Cosmo that 100% capture his Cosmo-ness completely. Thanks again Els, we really appreciate it!
