Lorena and I have just returned home after house and pet sitting for Veronica and Andrew, looking after their lovely home and their border collie, Bertie. Veronica and Andrew’s home is relatively close to our own and we were delighted to meet up with Veronica, Andrew, and Bertie prior to the dates of the sit. We were immediately put at our ease and made to feel extremely welcome whilst we all chatted over a coffee.

The accommodation provided to us was immaculate with full modern en suite facilities and with full access to the ground floor rooms and the grounds of this extensive and private property. We were extremely comfortable and we had everything we could have possibly needed for what proved to be a very comfortable stay.

Our sit was in late January and we enjoyed using the wood burner in the living area though the property is fully centrally heated. This really is a fascinating property and it was lovely to all sit by the fire in the evenings and look out onto the wooded grounds.

For those interested in wildlife this is the perfect house sit with squirrels in the garden and owls in the surrounding trees, this is the perfect retreat from a busy world. A car is essential for a sitter both to get to the property and to reach the local shops in the lovely nearby market town of Morpeth.

Full and detailed instructions for looking after Bertie, the property in general, and the surrounding area with its lovely walks were provided and communications with Veronica and Andrew before and during the house sit were excellent, they couldn’t have been kinder or more accommodating.

We had a brief but very enjoyable stay with the lovely Ludo. Nola was extremely hospitable and left very clear instructions which made the whole experience super easy and comfortable. Thank you Nola!

We could not have asked for a better first housesit opportunity!

Liz did a great job of making us feel welcome and comfortable while taking care of Chase and Bennie. Communication was exceptional - the Welcome Guide instructions were clear, sticky notes were provided where needed and Liz was always available by text.

There was no lack of supplies (i.e. treats) for the boys. They were so well-behaved on walks that we looked forward to taking them out which we did on multiple occasions in the neighborhood and to the nearby Metroparks (note: they love car rides). We already miss their company.

The house was cozy and offered a wide array of amenities. We would highly recommend this sit and hope we have the opportunity to do it again!
