While seeking a sitter for an extended (nearly month-long) absence, we immediately focused on Rachel for her superlative reviews, and after conducting a video interview, our decision was easy. Rachel projects a calm, assured, centered, and confident nature that satisfied all of our concerns. When Rachel arrived at our home, our dog Pepe (who is an excellent judge of character) immediately took a liking to her, sticking by her side during our handover briefings. She kept us informed during our trip during the rare occasions we could connect. When we arrived home, our house looked as if we had never left, and Pepe greeted us as if we had only been gone for a couple of hours. If you are seeking a sitter, and Rachel applies, consider yourselves lucky. Your search is over.
louise and her husband were the loveliest of hosts, and their house is idyllic!
I loved my stay at Victoria and Justin's home with the boys. Zappa is perhaps one of the smartest pups I've ever met. Not only does he use his many buttons to communicate, but he anticipates when his older brother, Herbie, will react to something on a walk and literally pull on Herbie's leash to keep him back. I have never seen anything like it! Zappa also keeps other dogs in the park from taking his freezebee by intentionally and gently putting his paw on it. 😁 With Zappa, I felt like I was babysitting a child and not a dog. He is such a VERY smart pup! Herbie is the older, more serious pup. He has swagger, confidence, and does things at his own pace... like a boss! He likes to play but gets tired and then watches Zappa go. The trick is, two long throws for Zappa and one short throw for Herbie. We found our rythm after our first fetching session. The nearby dog beach is fantastic even in the winter. And the boys are great off leash. They stay nearby, have great recall, and love to take a dip in the water as you toss the ball around. They were both so loving from the moment I walked through the door on day one. There is not a mean bone in their bodies. Boogs, the cat, took a moment to warm up to me, but he is also a sweetie. Loves scratches and his milk but is pretty independent. The house is gorgeous and comfortable with every detail you can imagine (office, gym, heat in bathroom, floor to ceiling mirrors for a fit check, hot tub...) in a beautiful neighborhood with lots of families and pets. It is a couple of blocks from an off leash park, restaurants, bus stops, and stores. It is also a very nice 30+/-min walk to many more stores/groceries/gyms/restaurants/train station/ souvenir shops/health food store/etc. There's a hot tub in the backyard that was such a great treat after a day of exploring the city on a chilly day. Victoria and Justin made me feel so comfortable. It was like talking to old friends. They are easy-going, easy to reach, very thorough with all information, so generous with the use of the dog-SUV and arranging transport for me from airport, AND "couple-goals" too. Pictures show their love story from young kids until now. So inspiring to see such love. Their life is really a slice of paradise♥️ Thank you for having me!! A fantastic sit I would whole-heartedly recommend!!
Sitting in Placitas for Miel, Chouquette and Snack was lovely. Their home is beautiful and being able to swim was a gift! Chouquette was fun to hike with, very well behaved and simply loved to be around us. The kitties are easy care and walking trails for Chouquette are right behind the property which was great. Amanda is very gracious, welcoming and communicative. We loved every minute of this sit and would gladly do it again.
We thoroughly enjoyed our time with Shaka in Danville. Shaka is very shy and will take awhile to warm up to you. To help him adjust to you the first few days it helps to invite him to join you to whatever you are doing-working upstairs, watching tv or sitting outside.-he will not need any convincing for sitting outside or going for a walk. There are many hiking trails in the area that we enjoyed going to with Shaka. Greg and Kris and lovely hosts. Thank you for letting us stay with Shaka!
What a wonderful experience. this was a 10 star experience on a 5 star scale! Lori went above and beyond to help me feel welcome and comfortable. Her communication was excellent and her home is classy and comfortable. I felt like I was on a luxury vacation. Since meeting Lori's cats, Jagger and Storm, I am now a lover of Maine Coons. They are beautiful and soft and both warmed up to me with a few treats and time reading on the couch. What an absolute pleasure and an honor to sit. I hope that I can return again down the line to help out. This was the best experience I have had on TH. Thank you again.
Mary has a beautiful home and a fun pet family. The cats love being outdoors, but when they come in they are friendly and ready to eat or have a treat. Mary was helpful and available anytime I had a question. I had a wonderful time enjoying being by the lake and getting to know her cat family. I would be happy to sit again in the future.
