Fabulous! Absolutely fabulous! It was so much fun to get to know Katy. She was incredibly welcoming & facinating to spend time with. I'm looking forward to our next catch up! The house is a relaxing oasis perfectly located for exploring Arles. That is though, if you can bring yourself to leave behind exploring the lovingly restored home with its treasure trove of musical instruments, art, cameras &, of course, BIG CATS!! BC & Otis, oh my, they are so cool! What an experience in life to spend time with these two. They have totally different ways of showing their love, playing & hanging out so it's great fun working from home there. Otis was kind of my daytime buddy, following me around, checking I had everything I needed & when I took a work break he was great for reminding me to get outside or play. BC managed my relaxation, making sure I didn't siesta alone & she loved watching a film with me in the evening & was dedicated to her duty as sleep guardian at night! Snuggling up in bed with Maine Coons is something that should be on your bucket list if you like cats!! Plus I have some fantastic photos to go with the good memories, They are very very good looking cats! What else? The house is easy to live in, all ammenties nearby, Arles super inspiring especially if you're into art, photography & architecture. I had fun at the Saturday market & the Rhone is very close. It's surprisingly huge, so near to the sea with all manner of interesting boats to nosy at! So much to see & do, it's a blast to be there, thank you very much Katy, Otis & BC for an awesome experience! xx
Justin and Jay were very welcoming with clear instructions to care for their home/pool and were kind enough to leave suggestions on restaurants and activities in the area. The house is a 5 minute walk to pristine Mudjimba beach, there are also plenty of places within a 15 minute drive to check out. Their two Nebelung cats Luna and Lulu were wonderful to care for, very playful and curious. They have some favourite toys and will keep you entertained! Apart from some playtime and a brush during the day they were independent and happy to rest up in their sunspots around the house. Justin and Jay kept in regular touch while they were away to make sure all was well. We feel lucky to have had the opportunity to housesit for them and would be happy to do so again.
I recently house sat for Colleen and looked after beautiful Ellie for her. Ellie is such a little love bug and was an absolute pleasure to take care of, after a week I created a great bond with her and it was very sad to say goodbye. Colleen left detailed instructions on Ellie and her clear communication throughout made the entire process flawless. I highly recommend and will have no doubt in pet sitting for them again :)
Joy and Rob are a delightful couple and have an immaculate bungalow in a quiet part of Shrewsbury. I just had Ezzy the cat to look after as they took Tally, their Spaniel, with them. Ezzy was very easy and affectionate and would comes and go as she pleased via her cat flap. Once she was in from 6pm the flap was closed to ensure she didn’t bring in any ‘presents’. Then she would happily sit on my lap. I took the opportunity of walks into the centre (40 minutes) and cycled along the river and canal. A beautiful place to explore and highly recommended sit. Thank you Joy and Rob for choosing me.
This sit was so lovely, Olivia has a beautiful home and was so accommodating and friendly. Floss is a wee darling and a pleasure to look after. Was like staying in a little slice of paradise, highly recommend!
Sadie & Andy were excellent to work with with great text communication before and during the sit. I actually was introduced to them thru their nextdoor neighbors who I’ve dogsat for as well 😆 Avi loves her belly rubs and is obsessed with tennis balls. She definitely was very slow to warm up to me —over like 3-4 days. But the stranger-danger part only lasted until we went on our first walk. Her recall was to run away from me 🤷🏼♂️ so I kept her on lease for all walks. She seemed to really enjoy walks, but seemed to also enjoy sleeping the day away while I worked from home. Foodwise, she’s more of a grazer and is not even motivated much by treats it seems. So it was easy to just keep her bowl filled up twice a day and eventually she’d eat most of it. When it was bed time she always came upstairs and slept at the foot of the bed. The room I stayed in was really great. It’s a guest room with a nice bed and en suite bathroom. Can’t ask for much more. It’s a 2-bedroom apartment with a efficient kitchen and a nice living room to hang out and work / relax in. The neighborhood is on the edge of Tiburon and is very nice and pretty quiet. They live in an apartment complex with easy street parking and the grocery store is just 5 minutes away. I loved walking Avi along the waterfront and we’d go for 1, 2, or 4 mile walks along the bay trail each day. One of my favorite moments with Avi was when she jumped up on the couch with her tennis ball, let it rest between her front paws, and then shortly after fell asleep. I sat down next to her on the couch and caught up on some videos from the day. About 15 minutes later the ball eventually dropped out from her and hit the ground with a thud. She woke up, looked down, and then right back to 😴💤 Kinda like I do with my iPhone sometimes 😳
