Pearl & Jen were amazing housesitters. We felt they would be perfect after our video call with them and we weren’t wrong. They are a lovely couple, very experienced at house sitting so are calm, reliable, organised, & flexible. Although thankfully there were no issues during the sit, we felt that they would have coped brilliantly with anything that came up. They were happy to come over to Guernsey a couple of days before the sit to ensure there were no handover problems due to unexpected travel delays. They stayed with us the night before we left and we very much enjoyed their company and great sense of humour. After agreeing our initial dates we decided to stay away an extra week and they willingly amended their existing travel booking to accommodate us. Although Tilly is a shy and nervous cat, she bonded with them as soon as we left and clearly enjoyed being totally pampered every day. Pearl and Jen’s communication with us was spot on and we very much appreciated the regular photos they sent both of our Springtime garden as well as a clearly relaxed and happy Tilly. Unfortunately they had to leave just before we arrived home but we found a spotlessly clean and tidy house, a lovely card & gift, and useful handover information. The garden looked great, as did all the houseplants. They’d even fixed the fridge which had developed an annoying habit of bouncing open before we left. We are delighted that Pearl & Jen enjoyed their time in the lovely island of Guernsey and we would be delighted if they are able to return to us for a future sit. Tilly would also love to see them again! Finally, many thanks again for the emergency dash to the ferry port with our forgotten ID! We can’t recommend Pearl & Jen highly enough. If they offer to sit for you, don’t hesitate!!
These guys were great and even managed to cope with a flooded dishwasher. We are so pleased they are coming back for another sit.
Is it better to board cats or leave at home?
