This was a completely fabulous, 100% recommendable sit. Kemper really sets a high bench mark for home owners. An exemplary welcome pack with supplementary information on arrival, efficient communication, thoughtful, considerate, welcoming. She absolutely went the extra mile before I arrived to look out local contacts/ information relevant to my interests and found the time to take me on a tour of the local town before she flew out. Above all, I felt that she and Steve welcomed me into their home like they would any visiting guest, showing great hospitality and concern for my comfort. Their home was beautifully clean and the photos really don't do it justice either inside or out. It's in a great area with lots to do within a half an hour's drive and there's a great Portuguese restaurant within walking distance. That said, with some unexpectedly sunny February weather we spent more time "at home" than anticipated just because it was a wonderful place to be. Equally importantly, Otto and Hugo are two very handsome chaps. Being cats ( and of course being completely aware that they are stunning) everything is pretty much on their terms. So they can enjoy snuggling, fuss and grooming, but equally they like their own routine and just doing their own cat thing. Otto very much took to being in my company and followed me around, just keeping an eye, which was very endearing. They are indoor / outdoor cats and very much stay on their home patch. All in all, a complete pleasure and privilege to sit for Kemper - one I/ we would repeat in a heartbeat. Sincerest thanks for trusting the two of us.
Stunning, very English village! Lovely family. Very welcoming! Comfortable home and easy care. Both the dogs, Inca and Jager, have very good manners and loving temperaments. They enjoyed their runs through the local village and surrounding fields. Both were very well behaved. The location is great as a gateway to some of Britons icons e.g.: Stonehenge and Salisbury Cathedral. Thank you to Jo, Fergus and the boys for having us in your lovely home.
Jock is an absolutely lovely pup. He’s smart, loving and well behaved; I would definitely sit for him again. Doug and Rochelle are wonderful, thoughtful hosts and took time to make sure I knew where everything was and felt comfortable. Their apartment is beautiful and I felt right at home.
Roger and Gina were very helpful and welcoming. They took the time to orientate me to their village, and the various workings of items in their home. They have the most beautiful and cooperative dog, the lovely Bollie. We had a wonderful week together! She is such an obedient, loving and well behaved dog, an absolute delight to be with, I miss her!
Shane and Anne were excellent hosts. Before arriving we made a video call where we met. They always made sure that you have everything you need. For me it was a pleasure to be the babysitter of Carlos and Rigby, they are very sweet, super calm, happy. the work is very easy The house is amazing with everything you need. The neighborhood is beautiful. It is a dream to live a few days there. I'm already missing my lovely dogs
The hosts were nice. The only regret is not meeting them beforehand as I think in person changes everything. Ru is a bit of a boogery monster, which I didn't mind. He is super cute and did cuddle with me a couple of times. Does like to talk so I felt like I was with another human being. Just a reminder. The place is close to everything and if you're wanting to explore Oakland I would definitely recommend. The one I unexpectedly fell in love with was the shrimp and coral. Was never into them before but I change my mind. They are quite cute🤣💛
