Anja and Hermann were very welcoming and gave me a lot of recommendations for the area. They have a modern and spacious home with a nice garden all the amenities you could ask for. A great and rare feature is the cozy fireplace in the living room. Both their cats, Max and Oskar, were a delight. Oskar was trusting me immediately and Max only took one day longer. Max then was most eager to play every day after each meal, especially with the strings in the garden or in the living room. Oskar also liked to play but also to cuddle. I definitely can recommend this sit.
We absolutely loved our sit with Modi! Modi is the sweetest pup with the biggest puppy eyes you have ever seen. We loved taking Modi on walks, surprising him with his favorite treats, and cuddling up with him. Modi never failed to make us laugh and smile throughout our entire sit. Everyone in Alessia’s building loves Modi and we can see why! He is such a gem of a pup and we miss him already. Alessia’s home is beautiful! She has decorated her home to be inviting and warm. We immediately felt comfortable and at home once we arrived. We even had the opportunity to meet Alessia before the housesit and she is incredibly kind, welcoming, and has such positive energy. Roosevelt Island itself is an amazing tranquil getaway from the hustle, yet access to everything within literally minutes. We enjoyed walking around the island, taking in the beautiful views from Alessia’s rooftop, and stopping in for dinner and a drink at Granny Annie’s. If you have the opportunity, I highly recommend sitting Modi for Alessia. They are two wonderful souls and we hope to sit Modi again in the future!
Riva's cats were both so sweet and wonderful! The instructions she left were easy and clear to follow and her house was so lovely! She was easy to communicate with prior to and during the stay. I highly recommend sitting for Riva!
Kristin is friendly and made me feel welcome. Her home is in a scenic neighborhood, is amply lit with large windows (important when you work from home and need Vit D supplements) and has a cozy bed. She was easygoing and we communicated regularly about how Fritz was getting on. Fritzy is sweet and strong-willed during a walk. Mostly, he just loves to play in the backyard and get a good chin scratch before he naps. If you aren't used to being covered in dog hair, you will be after this housesit. But I would definitely stay again to hang with my buddy, Fritz.
Cú is an energetic and playful dog, that loves his chews and his walks as much as he likes to curl up on your lap. Leiden is to me like little Amsterdam with its many canals and old buildings. There are great museums, eateries and sites to visit, and at the same time Sarah and her family's home is a comfortable place to stay at. Many boardgames, and a lovely garden to sit in or to watch at from the living room. Thank you so much for the opportunity to take care of Cú and your house.
We had a really enjoyable housesit for Tracey and her family. Tilly was a lovely pup to look after, she kept us very entertained. We took her out to the nearby pub the Phoneix Inn for lunch, she did really well there, and to The Vyne for a day out, she travelled perfectly in the car. It was great to meet Tracey and her lovely family. The house is very comfortable, we were able to work remotely without any issues, we enjoyed playing with Tilly in the back garden, and there are good walking options right from the front door. We walked into the Hartley Wintney high street, and enjoyed the choice of bakeries/pastries there! The welcome guide Tracey provided was very useful with all the information we needed and also some great local recommendations. Thanks Tracey for a great sit!
