This was such a great sit! Cynthia and Jonathan's home is in an incredible neighborhood within a short walk to the metro and multiple cafes, bakeries, restaurants, and grocery stores. The house itself is beautifully renovated with modern décor and amenities while maintaining historic charm, and the kitchen is well-appointed including instant pot and Vitamix. This house was extremely ideal for us as a remotely working couple because there are two workspaces in separate rooms with desks, chairs, monitors, and keyboards that we could connect our laptops to. Wifi was also great with two people on video calls at the same time. As a bonus, there is space in the basement for watching TV and an open space with a wall mirror for exercising. And Mochi, what an amazing cat! She is super friendly and social, and she doesn't have any difficult behaviors to manage. She loves looking out the window and playing with pieces of rope/string we would pull around. Plus she would adorably roll over on her back to ask for belly rubs (and we were more than happy to comply with her requests), so cute! Mochi is very easy to take care of: basically a 10 min routine in the morning of litter box, replenish feed, fresh water, brush teeth and coat, and then play time and love on her throughout the day. She did have some health issues while we there but Cynthia was incredible about communication and helping us work through it. Cynthia is also super organized, which was very helpful as well. Thank you Cynthia and Jonathan! We loved having Mochi's companionship during our stay at your beautiful home.
Weriqi is an absolutely wonderful dog who has had a really difficult start in life, as such she has some less than ideal behaviours and is quite reactive, but on the whole she is loving and playful and protective. I would not have felt as comfortable in Addis without her by my side. I feel very honoured to have spent nearly 2 weeks taking care of her and sharing her home. Conor and Mafalda were communicative and patient, and made sure to answer my many questions. I really appreciate their efforts and recommendations regarding Addis Ababa and their neighbourhood
