Allisen was a stellar house and pet sitter! We got lots of cute pictures and updates on the cats, and we came home to a very clean and tidy house and contented kitties. We had a storm and a lengthy power outage while Allisen was in the house, and she dealt with it like a champ. I highly recommend her, and I hope she comes back!
We were JoAnn’s first housesit, but you wouldn’t know it! She was terrific. She arrived on time and was so excited to meet our dogs and learn about the house. We felt totally comfortable while we were away, with JoAnn sending just the right amount of updates and pictures. The house was clean and the dogs were happy when we returned, and JoAnn had left a little note about the sheets and towels and whatnot. We’d be delighted to have JoAnn back for another sit, and give her our highest recommendation!
For us, the absolute joy of THS is meeting the Pets and their owners, to which end, we have been fortuitous in spending a marvellous couple of weeks with Bear, a handsome 10yo snowy, charismatic cat in his lovely family home. Sam and Daniel welcomed us into their home where we immediately felt comfortable. Sam's home and garden is bright and spacious with all mod cons and a great kitchen where we enjoyed some wonderful cooked meals and bakes. The location is also amazing with just a few minutes to the Thames path and it's great walks. Bear is such a wonderful character, has a charming way about him, which instantly draws you in, including his stretches and flops on the carpet, very cute face and purrs. Though he's not a traditional lap-cat, he enjoys human company and would join in the evening on the sofa for some strokes and tickles. During the day he'd spend some crucial hours on mouse hunt/watch in the garden. He did have a small wound prior to the start of the sit that wasn't healing properly but he has been a very good patient and allowed us to apply treatments to his neck without fuss. He was also very good with his arthritis tablets which we mixed into his food every morning. We enjoyed the stay with Bear immensely and cannot recommend it enough!
