We loved our sit for Fiona and Tony, their home is gorgeous and welcoming and we were treated to a delicious dinner on our first night with them. They are generous, accommodating hosts and were lovely to communicate with during the sit. Their three dogs are sweet and funny and we adored them all. Three sounds like a lot of work but it actually wasn't. They have their morning and evening routines and are really easy dogs to care for. We enjoyed sitting by the fire with them in the evenings, listening to them snore and they are an absolute dream to walk - they were obedient, responsive and we were able to walk them off the lead all the time. All up a lovely sit in beautiful country surrounds with three adorable, cuddly dogs. We highly recommend this sit. Thanks Guys.
Felt very welcomed into Roma and Johns’s lovely home. Loved spending time in the cosy kitchen 😊 Nicely located -close to town, even closer to gorgeous countryside. Evie popped in and out and became more used to us by the end of the sit. She was easy to care for and sweet. Looking forward to returning in February! X
Mary Beth was wonderful. Her communications were timely and very pleasant. The instructions for the care of Riley were clear. She has a lovely home that is convenient to anything I needed. Riley is a sweet girl but she did have some behavioral problems that made the sit less than excellent, which I will detail below. Riley sleeps in the bed with whomever is sitting for her. Mary Beth told me this, so it was expected and something I was ok with. Three of the four nights I was there she woke me between 1:30 and 4:00, presumably to go out. Upon letting her out it was difficult get her back in, as she desired to stay outside and bark. Once going back to bed she didn’t want to settle down, whining at the edge of the bed. All this resulted in about 1 - 1.5 hours of lost sleep. Then there are intermittent sessions of somewhat loud licking or scratching that would further disturb my sleep. The final night I was there was better in that she didn’t wake me to go out, but there were still the lick/scratch sessions. I had two instances where Riley grabbed toilet paper rolls and shredded them, leaving a mess for me to pick up. Mary Beth confirmed that this is unusual behavior for Riley. Next, (and this is not really a negative, just some advice for the next sitter) is walking Riley. Riley may not want to return home when you’re ready to go back, so she will just stop. Many dogs do this, so no big deal. I figured out, and Mary Beth later confirmed this, that a gentle pat on the rear will get her walking again. On the first walk I took her on she almost slipped out of the collar, so I would recommend putting her in the harness instead. She doesn’t like the harness and will try to hide under the table so you may have to be a bit tricky to get her in it, but once she’s in it, she’s fine. Mary Beth speculated that maybe I didn’t tire Riley out enough with our walks, leading to her behavior, and perhaps that is so. We must also keep in mind that dogs have feelings much like we do. I fully acknowledge that she was separated from her owner and was likely distressed about that. And that no matter how kind or patient I was with her I was still a stranger and not her owner, so that causes distress as well, I’m sure. Certainly, Riley was not doing this out of malice. Again, she’s a very sweet dog and we lots of good play and petting sessions. Finally, a little advice for future housesitters that may want to visit Philadelphia (and this has absolutely nothing to do with Mary Beth or Riley, it’s just travel advice). I would not recommend trying to drive into Philadelphia as traffic and parking are not pleasant. There is a train station about a 12 minute drive away from the house called Conshohocken. From there you can get into Philadelphia in about 45 minutes or so. However, be advised that you cannot purchase the fare card at that station as they have no customer service or kiosks there. You will have to plan ahead and go to the Norristown station or another station where they have customer service and kiosks. You can find further information about this by looking up the SEPTA website. Overall, yes, I would recommend this sit. I appreciate the opportunity to sit for Mary Beth and Riley.
Honestly I loved this sit! Margaret was super easy to communicate with from the get go. On my arrival the house was clean, warm and full of positive energy. I felt right at home straight away. She's put so much thought and love into her beautiful and healthy home. Gus was an absolute pleasure to take care of, he brought me on short walks around the neighborhood. He has his own doggy door throughout the day. He's super chill and just wants to chill on the couch with you most of the time. He does take some extra supplements with his food that was never a task more an honor to keep this guy as fit and healthy as he is for a 14yr Golden. Go Gus! If you have the chance to sit Gus you should definitely snap it up. You won't be disappointed. Don't forget to try Margaret's epic massage chair! Oh and don't lose the robot hoover like I did many times, I spent more time looking for that thing than taking care of Gus! Thanks again🙏🏽
A wonderful, comfortable, well-appointed house - especially if you are a music lover. Bonnie was a complete pleasure. Very friendly, affectionate, and low maintenance. The care instructions were extremely clear and easy to follow. The location of the property was perfect with easy walking access to St Albans town and frequent trains to London from St Albans City station. Ruth was great to communicate with, and we'd love to stay again if they ever need another sitter.

One of the things we are most thankful for this Thanksgiving is Opportunity Barks. It is such a relief to have a place for our dog to stay while we travel and have complete confidence that he is safe, happy, and well cared for. Seamus, our siberian husky, is very sensitive and wary of new situations. We are crazy dog people and it is NOT easy to leave Seamus behind when we go out of town. Whenever we pick him up after a stay at Opportunity Barks, he is tired from all of the play but he is no worse for wear. The best part is that the staff really seem to know Seamus. When we pick him up at the end of a stay, we get a complete rundown of how his visit went along with funny little details about his behavior and interactions with other dogs. It is clear that the staff have a hands-on approach and are really engaging with the dogs. They even dressed Seamus up for Halloween! I really can't say enough good things about Opportunity Barks and how important they are to our family. So grateful for Ayla and the team!
We (particularly our yellow lab, Dusty) have been thoroughly pleased (read "thrilled" where Dusty is involved) with the day care (twice weekly) as well as the boarding arrangements (four or five times a year) provided by Opportunity Barks for a number of years and have every intention of continuing to use their services. All of the personnel are courteous, friendly, clearly knowledgeable and thoroughly professional in their treatment of the pets entrusted to them. These are good folks. You can't go wrong doing business with them.
The absolute best place for your dog! We board our Goldens here regularly, and they go to daycare once a week, sometimes more. I never worry about my fur babies when they're at Opportunity Barks. They get lots of exercise, and even more love! ❤ You won't find a better, more caring and professional place for your pups anywhere!
This kennel saved us after we moved back to Eugene. We needed a good kennel and this one surpassed our hopes. Annie can sleep in her own bed while at Opportunity Barks, takes naps between play-times outside or inside, and received her medications and meals when she needs them. Staff members enjoy their play with the dogs. I have yet to be concerned about her while we are traveling.

Very friendly and thorough staff. We had to reschedule our initial appointment multiple times and they were kind each time and supportive of our dog when he did start. They asked a lot of questions to make sure they understood his behaviors and we appreciate that.
We love taking Ozy to Holiday Kennels. He is a rescue pup and has separation anxiety but he barely says goodbye to us now when we drop him off! The staff is friendly and we feel good about leaving him in their care.

I've taken my dog here for about 10 years. The staff is great and they always take great care of my pup! They are an absolute life saver for owners of bigger dogs which can be more difficult, or may not get along well with others. They even handle the administration of medications, or other special needs. I don't know what I'd do without them!

I took my dog here for the first time before a 2.5 week vacation, which was the longest I've ever had to board him, and I was nervous about it for him. When I arrived, there happened to be another woman in the exact same boat, and she took the time to rave about her past experiences to me, detailing how great the staff was and how excited her dog was in the car to come back each time. It helped put me at ease, as my dog can be pretty anxious. It ended up being a great experience for us too, as they provided photos and updates on how he was doing. Being an anxious dog, I don't know if he will ever be jumping in the backseat in excitement to return to a boarding facility, but he seemed to do really well there and it was the best I could have hoped for.
I would highly recommend Holiday Kennels! They clearly care so much about the pets they look after. My dog has a lot of separation anxiety and really seems to do well here. The satff does amazing work and their prices can't be beat! Support this local business and trust your animals to Holiday Kennels!
My wife and I travel fairly often and are more than happy with the treatment both of our dogs receive at Holiday Kennels. By the time we are dropping them off the dogs are no longer paying attention to us and are excited to be somewhere they can socialize. They do an excellent job in grooming, they love animals, and the pricing is up front and fair. I have nothing but great things to say about this kennel and recommend to all of my friends when they ask for a place to board their animals.
Our dog spent 7 days at Holiday Kennel during our vacation to Las Vegas. She was well taken care of and we would not hesitate taking her there in the future.
I was very nervous to leave my dog at a kennel for the weekend, but it had to be done! We tried Holiday Kennels because of the excellent reviews here on Google. When I first went in I was a bit shocked because it didn't look fancy like the other kennels we had looked at online. It looked like the Humane Society - no frills, cement floors, cages. Anyway, I freaked out a little bit and the staff were incredibly understanding and patient with me. They said that they could put my dog in a special part of the kennel for nervous dogs (even though my dog wasn't nervous - it was me!). They said they understood if I wasn't comfortable leaving my dog. They were so kind that finally I calmed down and realized that these were the kind of people that I wanted to care for my dog. I also told myself to be more reasonable - dogs don't care about fancy decorations in their kennel - they care that it's dry, clean, safe and warm. Well, it is all those things. There was almost no smell. When we picked up our dog, she was happy and everything was fine. They told us about how she had done while she was there so I know they pay attention to the dogs. I wish that our dog had come home with a bit less pent-up energy but she is a high energy dog (border collie) and it's difficult to wear her out even in the best of times. I'll recommend Holiday Kennels to all my friends.
Muddy Paws has been awesome! Claire is great to work with, and my dog is always exhausted and happy after a walk/run with her. Whether it's dog walking, housesitting or more, I would not hesitate to recommend Muddy Paws!
Another trip out of town (December, 2018) - 5 days again. I've used Laura double-digit times now over the past couple years, and it's always a 5-star experience. Once again my Lab-Rottie mix "Coral" - this time with her new 'little sister', the 4-pound Papillon "Jazzie" - became part of Laura's home. Coral loves Laura, and went into the house eagerly. And when I returned, both were happy as clams and completely at home - and in love with Laura! As I've written before, Laura doesn't have a 9-5 job so she's home to do THIS job. And she does it like an owner would want it. Coral loves it, and I appreciate it!
Beyond pleased working with Jennifer A. She took such incredible care of our three Guinea pigs. I have very high standards when it comes to cage cleanliness and when I got back from a week long vacation, their cage was in better shape than when I’m the one cleaning it. She took exceptional note of all the little details, and on top of everything - when my flight was delayed, she confirmed that she could be there for them an extra day not 10 minutes after I messaged. I will absolutely be using muddy paws, and hopefully specifically Jennifer, for all my pet sitting needs in the future. Their app is seamless as was communication, and I got detailed updates and pictures every visit. 6/5 stars!
Laura is completely professional and trustworthy. She has taken care of my pups for years before moving to Eugene (I live in Austin) and was always 100% reliable. Well I called twice to get a time to watch my pup, i was gonna be in oregon at thend of werk and over the weekend, left a message and guess they did not want my business. So will not bother with them next time I am in the city there.
Laura and the wonderful pet sitters she works with are INCREDIBLE. She loves and values my dog, and I can see the care she has for all the pets she watches... she appreciates each of their individual personalities and preferences. She makes sure the animals that interact get along well with one another (doesn't allow aggressive or sick animals). She keeps them safe, feeds them according to their schedules, exercises them thoroughly. My dog always comes back from Muddy Paws tired and happy and safe, and I myself appreciate how responsive and helpful Laura is to me as well. I cannot recommend her and her group enough, for daycare and boarding and in-home care.
Thrilled with Laura, her excellent service, and truly every aspect of our experience with Muddy Paws! She not only took exceptional care of our beloved pets -Mau, 4 yr old tuxedo cat, and Dala, 9-month-old Chihuahua- she also provided extras like texted photos and videos of our sweet animals having fun and being loved on, came to the house for a free consultation, brought our garbage cans up from the street on garbage day, and just generally made us feel 100% comfortable that our pets and home were in excellent hands. We were able to completely relax and enjoy our vacation knowing Laura had everything covered at home.

I recently and somewhat unexpectedly adopted a puppy from a local humane society and needed someone to spend time with her while I was at work. Emma Jaramillo graciously and enthusiastically accepted the job and she was amazing! She worked with me to make sure Hazel was happy, less stressed and successfully transitioned from the humane society into my home. Emma was patient (mostly with me) and loving as she took care of Hazel. I can't say enough good things about her and Muddy Paws.
I have nothing but good things to say about Lucky Dog and the staff who work there, especially Stacey and Jill. My dog really struggles with anxiety with new places and new people, and I was so nervous about trying daycare with him. Well, he went from being able to tolerate only a couple hours to being able to stay there for several days. He LOVES it there. And the staff are always patient with him and excited to see him. Their attentiveness and advanced training mean I always feel confident leaving Oscar in their care. Lucky Dog has been a critical part of Oscar’s journey. Thanks for all that you do!
I can’t say enough good things about Luck Dog Daycare! My puppy has only gone for her half-day trial and her first full day, but it’s already clear how much she loves it. She gets so excited the moment we pull into the parking lot, which says a lot! The staff has been wonderful and made me feel completely comfortable leaving my baby with them. I really appreciate how they group dogs by similar temperaments and carefully vet each dog coming into the facility. Knowing my pup is surrounded by compatible playmates gives me peace of mind. The cameras are such a great feature! It’s so fun to check in and see what my girl is up to during the day. It’s obvious she’s having a blast and getting lots of love and attention. She comes home so tired and content, which has made such a difference in her behavior. She’s calmer, happier, and so much better behaved after a day at Luck Dog. For a dog who’s very social, Luck Dog is the perfect alternative to dog parks, which I’ve found to be messy and full of unpredictable situations. This daycare provides a clean, safe, and structured environment where my pup can thrive. I’m so grateful for this amazing resource for my girl and can’t wait to continue bringing her here!
My pup and I are thankful to the Team at Lucky Dog. Hobart is happy to go and I know he is in good hands when I drop him before work. He plays with the other dogs and they feed him the meal that I plan for him. At the end of the day he takes the Limo home and I trust the staff to put him into his crate with supper until I get home. He is so happy there that we are going to start classes and look forward to him going on the nature outings.
The staff at Lucky Dog are amazing! They are extremely caring and attentive, treating each dog as an individual, getting to know all their "personalities" and needs. There is such a wonderful atmosphere at Lucky Dog--so positive and enthusiastic. And they offer a full range of services--everything you could possibly want for your dog. I've gone to other doggy day cares, which were fine, but this is truly, off the charts exceptional! The staff were so skillful at guiding my big, 90 pound German shepherd, Felix, who went to Lucky Dog for many years. He always behaved well with them and with the other dogs. And the staff have been so gentle with my small dog Heidi, a traumatized rescue dog. They helped her feel strong and confident--now she holds her own with all the big dogs, feeling safe and sassy! Heidi LOVES going to Lucky Dog--she cries all the way in the car, in anticipation, and runs right in, thrilled to be there! Dogs don't lie! If only they could write their own reviews, it would be clear how magnificent this place is!
Have been taking our pup to Lucky Dog for almost a year now. We have had a great experience with owner, staff and all the options that we have taken advantage of…in addition to daytime care he has attended enrichment training , adventure camp, and even had a bath. One of Finn’s favorite activities is hanging out in the pool! Haha! Finn is happy to get dropped off and always come home ready to take a nap. Highly recommend!
We started using Lucky Dog after we got a golden retriever mix last year. We talked to 3 different similar doggy daycare locations and Lucky Dog was hands down the most inviting and friendly group of people. We have taken Max a few times now and we are over the top happy with them, so is Max! Update: Max was so excited to go to Luckydog today that he almost removed Kendra’s arm running for the entrance. We left him for overnights twice and it was reported that he took to it like he’s been coming all along! This is so important to us as we want to be able to go out of town and know that he is safe and happy. Most recent photo is him having fun at Luckydog!
Luckydog is awesome! The staff are caring and flexible, and many enrichment activities are offered to meet the wide range of energy levels of different breeds. Knowing that my pups are getting the best of care allows me to relax when out of town. Frankly, I think the pups like Luckydog better than home. ❤️ The pups also appreciate being able to keep up on their favorite Animal Planet shows when staying overnight. 😂
Can’t say enough good things about Luckydog. Our pup has attended day care twice a week for nearly four years and it’s the only place we feel comfortable boarding him when we can’t take him with us. The building is clean, they are very careful to make certain pups are up-to-date on vaccinations, and the staff are all wonderful. Bosco loves everything about Lucky Dog including the Enrichment program and Adventure Club. We love being able to have him groomed while he’s there. Lucky Dog is the best!
Highly recommended Lucky Dog!!! Can’t say enough great things about the staff, the facilities and things they offer. The staff makes Piper feel like the most important pup in the world every time we show up. I love Luckydog. When I moved to this area, I was immediately drawn to them for being an all in one provider for dogs. My dog Theo had a couple puppy classes from Stacey, who is a gem. A one hour one on one and my dog was already improving. Theo also regularly gets groomed by McKenzie. I’ve always been super happy with her cuts, and we’ve had different variations, all wonderful. She’s a grooming artist! I’ve never tried day care as I work remotely but I definitely wouldn’t hesitate to go to them. I believe they also do boarding.
Love love love this place! My dog has been going here for a little over 3 years now and we both love it. The staff is friendly and helpful, the facilities are clean, and it's clear that they have safety practices in place to make sure all the dogs are well taken care of. My dog is the kind of guy who never wants to leave my side but he runs straight in here when I drop him off in the mornings — doesn't even say goodbye! I can tell he's comfortable here and has a blast with his friends. Highly recommend!

They are absolutely amazing with my dogs. I have 4 huskies, and we are currently full-time RV'ing, which is a lot to handle. They always come out of here happy! Even on boarding overnight, they come out the next day happy. They were very understanding of the needs of each of them and of us. I definitely recommend!
I love this daycare so much, I was so nervous to leave my dogs for the weekend. I was able to bring my dog’s in for a 3-4 hour evaluation for them to be cleared for boarding. I have two high energy shepherds so I was really nervous they wouldn’t be cleared, however they told me they were amazing and reassured me that boarding will go smoothly. When I dropped them off, they were so welcoming to me and my dogs, they even let me shake off some nerves by asking a million questions to make sure what happens within the daycare throughout the day. While I was out of town I was able to call them and request for pictures to be sent to me of my pups for an update on how they’re doing. They were prompt and texted me a bunch of pictures of them and told me how great they were. I was so pleased, picking up and dropping them off was a breeze and I definitely plan on using this daycare whenever I need it next! I am attaching the pictures that they sent me as well. I can’t say enough good things to capture how much we love and appreciate Dog Paw Daycare. We have a VERY high energy, high anxiety 1.5 year old Siberian Husky who we got during quarantine and had turned out to be quite the handful. Despite this, Dog Paw has handled him with such grace, understanding and compassion. We moved to Eugene from Colorado and did not know anyone in the area so we relied on Dog Paw many times for out of town trips or emergency daycare needs. Although the staff was initially hesitant because our pup displayed some challenging behaviors (barrier frustration, anxious barking, etc), they quickly learned how to handle and support our dog and always welcomed him with a smiling face. Our heart was so happy to see how excited our pup was when he realized he was in the car heading to daycare! We are moving out of state but will greatly miss having Dog Paw as our go-to daycare spot. Sending a huge thank you to all the staff at dog paw for putting up with and caring for our pup Bristol. Bristol loves you guys! ❤️ Thank you!
I work a lot and take Appollo to daycare one day a week to be out of my house. He loves going and doesn’t like playing with the dogs but loves the people! Thank you guys for being so great to him, you help me socialize him and I am so thankful!
My boyfriend and I are first-time dog owners, so we've been hesitant of leaving our one-year old Australian Cattle dog, Bailey, at a daycare/overnight boarding facility. We found this Dog Paw Daycare and Boarding after doing a few hours of research (best reviews, local and availability). Turns out: they aced it all — and the reviews were not an exaggeration. The staff here are especially caring, and when we called, they gave an honest update on Bailey's medication, food and water intake and playfulness. We once questioned if our dog had separation anxiety — especially in new environments. We were once again proven wrong, and that's thanks to the staff for making Bailey so comfortable in her crate. See the picture attached of her sleeping so soundly before we picked her up during after hours. We called for updates, and the staff were professional and truthful. We requested a lot, and the staff gladly accommodated our wishes. We weren't members, but we are definitely considering it. If not, we are 100% returning. In fact, I also saw members having the ability of viewing their dog on a webcam, and that's amazing. A little free time for us, and socialization and fun for Bailey. It's a win-win scenario. If you're in the Eugene/Springfield area, enroll your pup into this daycare/overnight boarding facility.
This is a hard review to write....because I am going to make my own situation more complicated. This Doggy Daycare is beyond amazing!!! Our year old golden retriever LOVES going here. Everyone who works here seems to love Maggie just as much as I do. They go above and beyond to help us, take care of Maggie, and run an honest and ethical business! Maggie does 2 days of daycare per week and has done boarding a couple times....She is never excited to leave when we show up....she gets sad to leave behind all her friends. We have used another daycare in our area and it is not nearly as great as this one. The owners of Dog Paw should be very proud of the business they run! The reason my situation will become more complicated is because more people will learn how awesome they are and make it harder for us to get Maggie in. :) Way to go Dog Paw, YOU ARE STELLAR!!!
If I could give this business 10 stars, I would! The staff who did Rocky's evaluation were beyond amazing! They were friendly, professional and it's clear that they love dogs. The facility was so clean and super secure. I definitely feel like it's a safe place to leave my pup. They give each dog an evaluation before you can leave them for boarding. Word of mouth led me to book a stay and I'm so happy I found this wonderful company!
If I could give more than 5 stars I would. My dog LOVES Dog Paw Daycare.The staff is friendly, and they provide the option for a drive up drop off which is so convenient. Highly recommend to anyone looking to get their dogs some extra socialization and a fun place for them to burn some energy.
What a relief to find a kennel that understands not all dogs are alike. Teal is caring, knowledgable and down to earth. Options for private or group, as well as walks in a fenced off yard. True 'country inn' experience for dogs - clean, secure and reassuring.
We left our three fur babies with Teal while we took a family vacation that lasted 20 days. Had previously used Country Inn Kennels for a long weekend trip and felt 100% confident that they were all in great hands. Teal even gave them all a bath before we picked them up; went well above and beyond our expectations! Rates are very reasonable and will 100% use them again for future trips! My dog loves coming here. They offer pictures and updates while you are away. As well as pick up and drop off if needed. My dog gets lots of play time and always come home in a great mood. I am so happy I found them and will continue to use them.
Country Inn Kennels provides excellent, loving care with lots of communication and pictures. They did great with my large dog who has a habit of being stubborn and silly and I got pictures and constant reassurance that he was doing well. I would highly recommend them and will continue taking my pup there!
Our sweet cat Oliver has been boarding here since he was a kitten. Usually 5-10 days at a time while we are camping or on another vacation. He always has a lovely time. He gets tons of attention, is kept well fed, and clean. Whenever we are missing him I just ask for a photo and I get one right away. We are very happy with our experience here.
Country Inn Kennels is the best facility to bring your dogs! Teal has a heart of gold and a love and knowledge of animals which immediately reassured me that my dogs will be well taken care of. I first boarded my two elder pekingnese with Country Inn Kennels during the unprecedented heat wave of July 2021. Teal installed proper air conditioning so the dogs would be cool. When I dropped them off their kennels were cooler than my house! I never worry about my dogs when I am traveling and that peace of mind is priceless. Teal has also started socializing my dogs with the other smaller dogs and its a fun enriching experience for them and for me knowing they are living a full life. This facility let's your dogs be dogs and experience the beautiful countryside in a safe secure well managed setting. Thank you!
Our dogs have the best time with Country Inn! There’s no one else we trust more to take care of our babies. Our male is a sensitive guy and can take boarding hard. CIK is the only place we’ve found where he comes back as his happy self. Our female is a social butterfly and has lots of energy. She also comes home happy since CIK provides lots of play time. They take care of all our needs. The staff is very attentive, kind and caring. We 100% recommend this place!
Due to covid I have spent practically no time apart from my rescue pup, so I was incredibly stressed about having to leave her for 10 days. I could not be more impressed with Teal and the amazing care that she provided for my baby. She is so incredibly kind and understanding and gave so many helpful suggestions to make my pups stay a bit easier for her as she is very anxious. She kept me updated everyday with lots of pictures which was so nice and made being apart from her so much easier!! If you are looking for a place to leave your pups I would highly recommend taking them here!

We’ve been taking our dog to Tall Oaks for a couple months now and have been so happy with them! He comes home happy and exhausted, the staff is always so friendly and the most important thing: our dog loves Heather and Sam and loses his mind when he sees them each week. It’s nice to know we have somewhere for our high energy pup to go without stressing about whether or not it’s a good experience for him. Thanks Tall Oaks Crew!
I’ve been sending my senior pup (14 years old) to Tall Oaks for over two years now! She absolutely loves it there, and always receives the best care! The employees are extremely dog savvy and conscious of interactions, so I never need to worry about my dog having a bad time or over-exerting herself. As soon as she realizes where we are going, she starts barking in excitement in car! I cannot recommend Tall Oaks enough!!!
I don’t recommend this location due to a negative interaction with the owner. It did not work out to send both my dogs for ongoing visits to Tall Oaks due to the expense. They are totally reasonable in price, but it wouldn’t work out for me with multiple dogs. Completely my mistake. I decided to hold back on bringing my dogs in, and the owner offered to refund my credits paid for the day. Instead, she ignored me when I asked nicely many times about when she would provide the refund (emails, phone call, texts). I offered multiple ways to provide the refund (Venmo, check, PayPal, etc.). She ultimately just ignored me, or made odd comments in response. I would have brought my dogs in for the day if I’d known she was going to just rip me off for 60$. Very rude considering she offered to give the refund, and the service was never utilized.
It has been a year since my last review, but I wanted to update, since I now send TWO dogs to Tall Oaks. Daycare days are the BEST days, if you ask my pups. It may seem, at times, that there are a lot of dogs (a concern mentioned by someone else), but Sam (incredibly compassionate, skilled dog handler) and Heather (impressively knowledgeable and caring owner) are pros and know exactly how to handle the dogs so that they remain safe and are thriving in their environment. I deeply appreciate the level of care they provide to my treasured family members.
My puppy has an amazing time every time she stays with Tall Oaks. I know that she is well cared for and is having a great time running around with other dogs. She comes home tired!
Tall Oaks Dog Resort LLC is one of the few places in Eugene Or that takes perfect care of your pup. Professional care is constant, reliability is never a problem, and response is always provided. Our labs always come back breathing hard (from the enjoyable day of planned activities), and happy, after a day or night at Tall Oaks Dog Resort. Both dogs are always in a hurry to get back to the kennels. Tall Oaks Dog Resort is a wonderful place to leave your dog for the day, or a couple nights, guaranteed. Enjoy vacation (or a day off) while always knowing your dog will have the best time!
My dog Lila has had three fantastic experiences at Tall Oaks, including day care & overnight boarding. The whole staff is fantastic. I love their doggie transport of picking Lila up from our home and driving her back. Lila is a large high energy two year old, and she gets to run free in lots of beautiful space and play, romp all day. Heather, the owner, took special time helping me navigate the electronic system to reserve time at Tall Oaks. Cathy & Bobby who live their have literally taken Lila into the soul of their hearts 💕. Kristin who has taken care of Lila the most is one of the most compassionate dog lovers I’ve ever met. She’s gone the extra mile for Lila in too many ways to count. Suffice to say she’s fantastic, & I highly recommend Tall Oaks Dog Resort, Disney World for dogs.
So grateful to be able to go on vacation guilt free, after moving to the Eugene area and discovering Tall Oaks! My girl comes home so happy and worn out every time I have her stay at Tall oaks, and loves all of her friends there so much! The staff is super kind. And it is lovely to get photos while on vacation of my puppy looking just has happy has I feel when I am away having fun. Which never leaves me to worry about my sweet heart! I recommend this place to anyone and everyone who needs a little extra help.
Not a good first impression. AVOID THIS PLACE Everything looked good online and I talking on the phone and via email to Heather, the owner. Made an appointment to come see the place. Did my due diligence of sending all required documents and vaccine records and required antigen tests so I thought this is the place! The website looks good but you need to do an in person visit. She (Owner) very responsive online. Came out today and left with the most uneasy and unwelcoming impression by the person I met today. Started off with: Are you dropping off or what" "I didn’t know you were coming". "It would have been nice if she, Heather, would have told told me”. It didn’t get any better after that. The worker seemed disgruntled and it came off as super passive aggressive. Too many dogs for one person to handle. There are a lot of dogs for a small space. Don't be fooled by the pictures. The area is too small for the amount of dogs she boards at one time. This place has a bad vibe. Bottom Line: unwelcoming, overcrowded, not enough help, flaky owner. I would not leave my dogs at this place! The kicker: I wrote a final email to the owner letting her know of my experience. Her reply was: "call me"! Yeah-if I were an owner of a business my reply to this would not be "call me" it would be me reaching out to the potential client. That's pretty much what I need to know! FLAKY and unreliable!
Frances has been attending daycare twice a week for almost 2 months and life would be much sadder without this amazing option. She loves it so much and comes home happily exhausted. So good for both pup and her human! Heather is always responsive to any questions or concerns. You can tell she wants the best for the dogs in her care. And the shuttle service is such a blessing! Kitty Cat Hotel was such an amazing find for us and our cat, Sammy! They were so accommodating even when we had to make a last minute booking. They sent us pictures of our cat during her stay and were so kind in all of our communications with them. When we arrived, our furry girl was relaxed and well taken care of. Would recommend! :)
We’ve left our cats here twice! They do an amazing job and always send updates with photos of the cats. One time, our kitten was fresh out of an emergency surgery and they were able to last-minute plan a space for him where he couldn’t climb and rip stitches. I was SO impressed with them!
This is the only place I will leave my cats, Molly and Rolly! Trish and Colleen take extra good care of them, and give extra snuggles when the kits need them. (And occasionally serve breakfast in bed!) Hands down the best place to board your cats on the whole west coast!
Wonderful experience here with the hotel and the owner. Picture updates, flexibility with our travel schedule and lots of compassionate care for their kitty hotel “guests”! The rooms for the animals are spacious, clean and calm (I would know, because at pick-up I sat inside one for quite awhile, waiting for our girl to settle down). The owner and her husband are amazing and fabulous and so thoughtful - you can tell everyone receives so much love and care when they’re boarded there 🐈. My “shy” fail foster even came out of her shell there and didn’t want to leave! Definitely recommend. 5 stars!!! Give them a try if you want peace of mind and confidence in your fur friend’s care while you’re out of town. Awesome place 💝 good people.
The best boarding care you can get for your cat. I boarded my cat here for 2 weeks she was treated with loving care. The unit she stayed in was large very roomy. They let her out periodically to a play area. They sent me pictures of her so I see she was doing well. They are great at communicating. I could tell she was happy and had a great time. When she came home.
Trish is top notch in kitty sitting! My kitty was well taken care of and loved while he was a visitor. Trish texted me a photo and updates when I asked, too. It’s so nice to go away knowing that my kitty guy is in such great hands! I highly recommend Trish and the Kitty Cat Hotel.
Our two cats have stayed at the Kitty Cat Hotel many times, but our last stay warrants an updated review! We went on vacation for two weeks and left our cats with Trish. They were happy and cared for, and we got great updates and pictures while we were gone. We flew back to Portland in mid-Jan 2024 (right in the middle of the terrible ice storm) and got stuck in Portland for a few nights because of road conditions. Trish was so nice about our delay and let us extend our stay. When we finally got back to Eugene, the ice was insane, and it was unsafe to drive across town to get our cats, so Trish let us extend our stay again! And then! The ice thawed, and a tree fell through our roof, collapsing our ceiling. Trish was, again, amazing and understanding and allowed our cats to stay even longer while we worked through the disaster and patched up the ceiling. I seriously don't know what we would have done without her, and I cannot say enough good things about Trish and the Kitty Cat Hotel. The facility is clean, and the rooms are fun, and our cats are comfortable and always return home happy. The Kitty Cat Hotel is a phenomenal place to care for your cats, and you never have to worry -- they are well cared for and loved here! Thank you Trish, you are the best! 😊
I'm a first time pet mom to a one year old kitten. He and I are extremely bonded and I was incredibly nervous to leave him for the entire month of winter break. Trish was so wonderful and sent me regular updates, and he was cared for beautifully. This is now my go - to shelter when I have to leave town.
The place was great. Appeared clean and well set up. My cat had never been boarded before so I was really nervous about leaving him. I received a few pictures throughout the week and updates which appreciated. When I picked him up the process was easy and he transitioned back home better than expected. All in all a positive experience.
We were nervous about boarding our senior cat for the first time. The people here were kind enough to send a couple of text updates about how our cat was doing while we were out. Price was very reasonable and the enclosures were much nicer than the metal cages with towels that some of the other boarding places were using. If we ever need to board our cat again this will be my first stop.
The staff were super welcoming and nice! My dog stayed in boarding for almost 2 weeks and came back happy as ever, I loved seeing the ‘letter from camp’ everyday and could tell she was having so much fun! I will definitely be returning the next time I am out of town
I have two border collies and they spent a week there and did so good. The staff were wonderful and the dog s seemed like they really enjoyed themselves. I loved the letters every day and photos. It made me feel more at ease be far away! Will be using them again in the future.
Friendly staff, wonderful experience with boarding and daycare. Our dog is always having the time of his life when we get the "letters from camp" sent to us while he's there. He's always excited to see the staff, and you can tell they really care about your dog! Worth the price, knowing that they only play with 2-4 dogs at a time, and are actually paying attention.

This place is amazing. The price is worth it for boarding and knowing your dog is in good hands. It is such a nice relief to not worry about your fur baby while away. They are clean, and take the time to know your dog. The daily letters from camp are amazing. I can tell my dog was well taken care of and looked happy in the pictures I got. It is clean and the dogs are in excellent hands. They listen to what you say about your dog and they actually care and follow through. I attached a picture they sent me of my dog, you can tell he is happy.

I can't say enough good things about Field of Dreams! We come here for both boarding and daycare and they are the best! Their staff is so attentive and kind to the dogs under their care. They really get to know each of the dogs which makes me feel like I am leaving my dog with someone who is going to take great care of her! They know when to give the dogs a break and when to give them one-on-one play time or group play time, it's very well structured. I highly recommend sending your pup here!
It's a really nice place with a clean setup, and it doesn't smell like urine like other boarding facilities I've been to. I loved receiving my daily "letters from camp." My dogs always look so happy in the photos. 5-star facility in my book.
Our chihuahua-beagle mix rescue dog is a bundle of nerves. We’ve lived in Eugene for a decade and only found Willamette Valley Dog and Cat Motel last year. Our dog is always happy to arrive and in good spirits when we pick her up. Bonus: It’s near the airport, making trips easier.
Willamette Valley took amazing care of our two dogs while we were away on vacation. It was the longest we have been away from our dogs. The staff was incredibly caring and sent photos while we were away. The pricing was also very reasonable. We would highly recommend Willamette Valley Dog and Cat Motel!

Well cared for, walked and played with each day (costs a little extra - but the Nature Walk each day gave an active dog reprieve from the kennel, and much loved handling by humans). Lina and Sarah answering phone are reassuring and wonderful people to have one’s pet with. Just a great place for our dog, and we ended up leaving him longer than anticipated, which was no problem with the wonderful staff at Willamette Valley Dog and Cat Motel!! THANK YOU SO MUCH♥️
Tug Boat is a 150+ lb. Bullmastiff who does not get excited about anything, other than his food. That is, until we boarded him at Willamette Valley Cat and Dog Motel. This is his second time being boarded, and as soon as we pulled up he immediately got excited when he realized where we were. Tug Boat now has TWO things in life that excite him: Food and being boarded at this kennel. The staff are excellent, the animals are well-loved and Tug Boat highly recommends it for your pet’s vacation destination!
Wonderful caring staff and clean facilities 👍 Military discount was a nice bonus and prices extremely reasonable. Was sent photos and updates during Lafayette's stay. They accommodated my dog's obsession with daily laser light zoomies which helped keep him happy and in good physical shape while I was over seas for a few weeks. Highly recommend!

This place is fantastic! The staff were so helpful and patient with all our questions before the boarding, and all our changes during the boarding. Our dogs came out happy and calm after spending 6 days at the Motel. :) And they will board your cats as well!
First time leaving my dog here and I must say it was a pleasant experience overall. The staff is amazing and my dog was well taken care of. When I came to pick him up he didn’t seem like he wanted to leave; I would definitely recommend this place to anyone who is looking to board their pet.
Our experiences with Willamette Valley Motel have always gone well. I love that our dogs get to share a space and with room to move about. The facility is always clean and organized, the faculty is kind and communicative, and the prices are some of the best in town. It can be a bit stressful leaving your pets, but I have grown to have piece of mind leaving them with WVDCM when they can't come with us on our trips.
We have been using Jen’s services for over 6 months. She is kind, professional and very skilled at her trade. Theo is a tripaw and we knew he would benefit from regular massage, and we have been blown away at how it helps him. We also love that she comes to our house, where our boy is most comfortable.
Jen has been such a blessing to our family. Our dog Paisley has been limping for two years. We have taken her to the vet and they have taken x-rays and can’t find anything wrong with her. We called Jen and after one massage, Paisley was walking on all four legs! Jen has given Paisley 3 massages now and it has been an amazing experience. Paisley is now able to run around and jump on furniture with no pain. Jen is so gifted at knowing just what Paisley needs. Paisley loves when Jen knocks on our door! I would highly recommend Jen for your dog!!
Where do I start with how grateful I am that we found Jennifer! I have an 11 year old Boxer (Bella) who has had significant health developments over the past year. Jennifer took them in stride, cared for Bella in a manner that I could not be more comfortable and pleased with, and the one time Bella was not acting herself while I was away she picked up medications from Bella's vet and kept me updated on her health. She administered oral medications for Bella twice per day, with a dose never missed. She put skin cream to help heal her Cushing's Disease Skin. She was more than helpful, and I never worried about Bella when she was with her. We recently moved and I could not have been more sad to know we would no longer have Jennifer to care for Bella. Finding someone else who even comes close to her care in our new city has proven very difficult. We miss her, and would recommend her to anyone who wants their pet to be loved and cared for as if they were her own!!
Love, love, love Fidoluv!! We've been taking our doberman/shepherd mix there since she was 6 months and only had the best experiences. She is quite rambunctious but Jen and her family have been very patient while she "grows up". They are flexible and easy to work with and love dogs!!
Jennifer has been watching our two dogs, Cinnamon and Bella, three times a week for a couple of months now and our experience has been great. Jennifer is communicative with us, sending us photos and updates whenever she can, and great with the dogs -- she's even helped to train our little puppy Bella! We highly recommend Jennifer and Fidoluv!
Jen came to my house to treat our elder dog. The fact that she came to us was a huge benefit. Because of our dog’s age and arthritis, mobility has become difficult. Jen worked with him for about an hour. Over the next couple of days we noticed an improvement in our dog’s comfort and ability to move around. It was remarkable really! She gave us an assessment of what she noticed he liked and what was going on with his body. We scheduled another session because her work definitely gives comfort to our beloved dog’s golden years!
We were new to the area and in need of daycare for George. We were blessed to find Jennifer and her family. She loves what she does, it’s not just a job. Jennifer truly cares about the dogs in her care. Jennifer has been willing to work with our schedule and last minute changes. George has special needs and we know that he’s in the best of care when he’s at Fidoluv. We would highly recommend Jennifer.
We love Fidoluv! Our pup Neptune gets individual attention, lots of supervised play, walks, and even some training. Jennifer is so professional, knowledgeable, and kind! Neptune comes home tired (but not super worn out) and he’s usually really excited to see Jennifer despite the fact that he’s pretty attached to us. While there are other services and professionals in town we are so greatful we found Fidoluv because Jennifer is the best!
Jennifer has taken care of our two dachshunds for a little over a year now. Jennifer truly loves what she does, I can tell this because she gets to know each individual dog as if they were her own. Our two dachshunds, Shadow & Little🐻Bear, come home happy & tired from being loved & played with. Recently, Shadow stayed overnight for one week. He had a couple of small issues while he was there, Jennifer put salve on him & she even gave him a bath! The quality of care our dogs receive while in her care is impeccable! Jennifer even takes her time everyday to send photos, text messages, daily walk maps & even videos. Our dogs truly love Jennifer, as well as, her family & I do too! Jen is the best! Very professional yet so super loving to all dogs. We hired her to pIck up my dog and bring her out to our wedding ceremony and it was absolutely perfect! Not only did Jen get Stella all ready for her part in our wedding, but she also handled her so wonderfully during photos afterwards. When Jen took Stella back home for us, she fed her dinner along with the 3 other dogs that were there! She took them all outside for us after she fed them and gave them all their vitamins and medications. It was so wonderful to not have to worry about all of that on our wedding day ~ we can't thank Jen enough! She made our special day even more perfect ♡ We highly recommend Jen and Fidoluv and plan to hire her in the future for boarding or home visits again. Thanks Jen!
