And then there was the delicious soup awaiting our return. And the state of the house and the dogs was too perfect to even go into. Needless to say, doggies got walked, brushed, worried about and even washed when a problem arose. We had great communication throughout our absence: pictures, reports about things falling off walls :(, descriptions of attention to our roses, questions about the function of things in the house. We have had dozens of house sitters. Never ever had better ones!!
Ariel and Alison were great house sitters. They stayed with us the night before we left and were delightful and engaging. They bonded with Bobby straight away They kept in touch with us with photos of our dog during our time away. Bobby was very well cared for and neighbours commented on A and A playing with Bobby regularly in the garden. The house was very tidy on our return and they even left us cookies they made! We would recommend A and A to anyone wanting people to care for their parent and house.
I had an amazing month with Khaos! I am going to miss this giant puddle of love so much. She is so sweet and easy to care for. Despite weighing more than I do, she was always well-behaved and responsive on walks. Jake and Christina were fantastic hosts. They had all of Khaos’s food and supplements organized and well-stocked for walking and cleaning supplies. They were very responsive to any questions I had, and even left me with some theater/hockey tickets! Their home is beautiful, comfortable, and well located to get anywhere in DC. I’d come back again in a heartbeat!
