I had a wonderful time in Battersea looking after Frankie Valentino. Frankie is a gorgeous cat: sweet, healthy and full of energy. He loves to be taken care of. Battersea is a lovely neighborhood and there is a beautiful park (Battersea Park) very close to the flat. Communication with James was easy. He explained everything carefully and in detail. Profoundly recommend it.
Stay A wonderful 2 week stay in Lise & Michael's spotless, comfortable & welcoming family home. Our delightfully gracious hosts picked us up @ the airport the day before their departure, shared a couple of meals, lots of chatting and detailed information re: the community, emergency numbers, house and dog. It was a relaxed & positive introduction. Tommy, the big black lab is a loving, gentle soul in a strong beautiful body and thrives on as much outside activity as he can get. The more, the better! Day 1 a friend of our hosts gave us a dog walking tour of the local leashfree park and introduced us to some of Tommy's friends..and he has many in this lovely community. He is still learning his rules, wants to please and is easy to love. Home/Community The well equipped house is an easy walk to groceries, shops, restaurants & cafes and the bus system in Victoria is easy to use for further explorations. Our souls were calmed & energized by daily walks along the ocean and time spent with Tommy in this beautiful part of Canada. As this was the first housesit for us as well as our hosts there was a bit of apprehension for all as we made the decision based on trust. Our concerns dissolved upon our arrival and warm welcome. Without a doubt we would leap at the opportunity to repeat this experience and look forward to staying in touch with our new friends. We would highly recommend our hosts, their dear Tommy lab and this house/pet sit. We feel much gratitude for the trust shared with us.
We absolutely loved caring for Zeke, Cora and Piper among Rick and Eileen’s green oasis. The property is full of private trails, serene nature and hand crafted greatness throughout. The house is set up with everything you could need and we were pleased to be left with a very detailed welcome pack. They made us feel right at home. The kitties have oodles of personality and their environment is catered to them in every way. They have a tunnel from the living room that gives them access to a secure outside enclosure filled with hiding spots and perching points. It’s so lovely to see them enjoy the trees, play with each other and hunt insects. Their play times included box forts and tunnels, lasers, strings, lots of random things to bat around and the occasional unfortunate wild prey that got caught between a claw or two. Zeke is a cuddle bug but takes some time to get settled but once he positions himself just right - you’ve got a friend for life. Cora is an inquisitive, hungry gal. She adopted many nicknames during our stay, for example: “The Manager” stuck like glue. Always around and needs to be watching or in the know of what’s happening. She likes a firm swiping palm pat rather than scratches and will roll over for you if you’re doing it right. Piper is timid at first, but one you get to know her she has such a beautiful soul. She is much more comfortable if you announce your presence out loud when entering a room. Move slowly and keep talking out loud, no joke have a conversation with her. She’ll respond with gratitude. Once she has warmed up to you she will nuzzle and purr and your heart will melt. It’s clear Rick and Eileen care for their property and animals deeply and it was an absolute pleasure to spend a month among their hard work.
We loved staying with Appa. She is such an adorable and cute cate. It’s so much fun to play with her. She is not the type of cat that is all over you or sleeps on you, but she is very playful and will run after everything. Appa is curious and not afraid of people. She will walk up to you immediately. With her lots of toys she also plays alone. She follows you around the flat everywhere you go and will explore everything you bring. Mehrnaz is a very kind and friendly person. She gave us a very warm welcome and even left us with her key a couple days earlier when we visited her. The apartment is simple but nice and clean. You have everything you need, two big rooms and a fully equipped kitchen. We felt really comfortable. We know the area and enjoyed it again. You can walk into the city and also to the woods. We really recommend a stay with Appa and would like to come back some time.
I loved sitting for Amber. She was so easy to work with! If you love animals this is a great sit for you! There are 3 big dogs and 2 adorable cats in a fairly small house so it can feel like a lot at times but they are all so cute and good and the yard is large where you can let the dogs run around. So as long as you are an animal lover and stay on top of vacuuming/cleaning it is very doable. Amber is super nice and a generous host. Her home is beautifully decorated, very comfy and cozy! Her backyard is very cute and nice to hang out in. I definitely recommend sitting her her!
