We really enjoyed looking after Smokey and Misty. They were very friendly and quickly got to know us. What stands out about sitting for Dawn? An extraordinary 16.5 year old 'Benson', an amazing feline, who belies his years, and a joy to look after, and also he who could meow for England!...lol. The other memory, the wildlife of the garden. We set the bird feeders so we could see so many from the kitchen. The many species of tits where a joy to watch, Robins, Thrushes, Doves, squirrels and many more. A lovely comfy home, bed and log fire with plenty of fuel, and regular contact with Dawn through WhatsApp. Loved our time there, the local area and 'The Ship Inn Pub. A recommended sit for sure. Nikki and Scott's 3 spaniel are such lovely dogs to look after. They are very well behaved, and were super friendly the moment they saw us. We did a lot of sitting outside playing fetch (with toys, rocks and golf balls) with them during our stay. And some time in the hot tub!
Myrna is very kind. Very good communication with her. Pel and Mel are very cuddly. They love to be petted and also love to sleep in the bed. 🙂 The place is very peaceful and inspiring.
Olly was bursting with life and youthful vigour, and was great company. He much enjoyed his walks both in the countryside and on the beach. He was an absolute tonic. Stephen was straightforward on the handover and easy to contact if necessary. I was able to work happily on a number of admin matters while Olly loved to chill out next to me. Very happy memories. We had a wonderful time house sitting for Martine and taking care of Kylo and Chewy. These dogs will be your best friends from the get go, and they absolutely love fetch. They are well behaved and sweet pups. The house is beautiful and very comfortable, we loved the views of the mountains. We’d definitely care for Kylo and Chewy again soon!

Jacqui and the team at We Love Pets are so much more than dog walkers/sitters. I feel so reassured when I need to leave our dog, knowing they care as much as we do. It’s not just a job for them, they genuinely care & I can’t recommend them enough. Recently I had arranged for our Jack Russell to be walked and I was a bit worried as she hadn’t been herself that morning. I just emailed to let them know & Jacqui called me & arranged to spilt the walk and check on her twice so I could be reassured. Our dog was absolutely fine but it was so nice to know she was being kept an eye on.
Jacqui, her team and family were the perfect minders for our little puppy Mia. She felt at home immediately and we knew instantly that she was in good, safe, caring, professional and trustworthy hands. Mia was so happy at the end of her first day. Jacqui is excellent at communicating and has all the skills needed to work with dogs. I would give Jacqui a highest recommendation.

Jacqui and the team have been absolutely amazing and I would happily recommend them to anyone. My dog is slightly nervous when meeting new people and it takes him a little time to build trust. They were gentle, kind and patient with him and now have a great bond. I've never used dog walkers in all my years of dog ownership (over 15 years) so it was a big thing for me to trust someone else with my dog, to take care of him and to not reinforce and negative behaviour. I only wish I could take these ladies with me to where I'm relocating! Special mention goes to India, who does most of the walks, I love and appreciate the little notes and I'm so grateful for your caring attitude towards my boy.
We used We Love Pets Wantage for the first time recently. Having experienced the most awful pet sitter previously we were super cautious about booking another one. Needless to say we didn't need to worry. From start to finish the service was faultless. Jacqui put us at ease and carefully selected the most suitable person for us and Rosa worked out just perfectly. We had regular updates and photos sent and came back to very happy animals in great shape who'd obviously had a very enjoyable week. We contacted the Wantage branch of We Love Pets when we unexpectedly and suddenly needed care for a family dog, because his owner ended up in hospital. What a fantastic service they gave - finding a last-minute ‘holiday home’ for him, collecting him, taking him to a vet appointment, and generally welcoming him to the family. And Jacqui, who arranged all this, was so nice and helpful, and made things so easy in a stressful situation. And she kept us posted with photos to show how well he had settled in. We would highly recommend this company and, if future care is needed, would go back there immediately. A big ‘thank you’ to the We Love Pets team.
Rudy had a fabulous stay at Pet Whisperers hotel for 11 nights. We had regular updates, videos and pictures of our Boy, all were really appreciated! Oxford Pet Whisperers are an exceptional team of caring and dedicated professionals whom I completely trust with our puppy. The heartwarming videos they share on Instagram always brighten my day, showing all the happy dogs playing and enjoying themselves. They provide a wide range of activities and enrichment experiences, and you can even book additional services like baths, tail trims, and full grooming. Amber absolutely loves her time with them and has grown so much more confident since she started attending. I would highly recommend Oxford Pet Whisperers to anyone looking to enhance their puppy’s socialisation. Or to anyone needing day care facilities due to work schedules.
Our golden retriever Ella is a regular daycare visitor and this year we tried the doggy hotel facilities for the first time. It gave us peace of mind as we knew she will be comfortable knowing all staff and environment, and she absolutely loved it, I don't think she was very impressed when we turned up to pick her up 5 days later, she wanted to carry on with the fun! We had a couple of updates on how she is getting on which was lovely to have. And you can see what your pup is up to during the days on Instagram account. Would definitely recommend this over regular kennels!
Lovely introduction. The business has an amazing concept with everything to make the dogs and the owners happy. So much space and all is clean and safe. Even the air gets filtered. My dog didn't want to come with me home after 30 minutes there.
once again Oxford pet whisperer have outdone themselves my little baby Frenchie had the time of his life actually came back with some extra manners. They also managed to squeeze me in a short note as I had to go away thank you very much for everything you’ve done.
We booked our dog in for a puppy groom last year. We looked online and saw that it was going to cost £10 but were surprised by hidden charges and ended up paying around £35-£40. The female groomer was not friendly towards our dog and did not even ask for his name, then was rude when we arrived back a few minutes late to collect him. He did not look well groomed and certainly did not look happy in his post groom photo (see pic). Upon returning home we found out why as the groomer had cut him under the eye and did not tell us. It looked like she had just washed the wound and covered it up. Luckily it did not become infected. We were very displeased and frankly disgusted with the service but due to other factors in life getting in the way at the time we never reached out to Oxford Pet Whisperers, hence the late review. We would certainly not return nor recommend their services to anyone else.
From the start, they have been very accommodating, professional and so friendly! We love the amount of time our pup gets to play and socialise with her friends as well as the first week report card and ongoing photos we can see on social media during her visits! A really well-run and dog centric business who we will be sure to continue to use 👍🏻

Thank you so much for another fabulous groom on Friday. The family commented on how silky soft his coat was and he smelt fabulous. Teddy is so happy at OPW he goes off happily and comes home content and in need of a good long snooze. Having a bath/groom at OPW is a must, especially if the children/grandchildren are home for the weekend as Teddy looks and smells great. Roll on his Christmas groom . Couldn’t recommend highly enough! Jamie, Natalie and the team are amazing. I’ve been sending my dog Cooper to oxford pet whisperers for a year and a half now since he was a puppy and I wouldn’t dream of using any other daycare/dog walking service. They are experts in their field and take such good care of Cooper. He comes home tired out for the evening after a day at daycare and as soon as I turn the corner in to the car park to drop him off, he gets so excited! The pick up and play service is great too as it allows me to be a lot more flexible with work! The daily updates on Instagram are fantastic as it allows you to see what your dogs been getting up to in the day. Couldn’t give a more glowing review ⭐️
Simon is fantastic and we can’t recommend him enough. He has been taking our 1 year lab called Blake out about 3 times a week for the past 3 months. He is reliable, friendly and absolutely loves dogs. He has helped us with lots of advice and we really trust him. Simon house sits too and his prices for everything are very reasonable. We would struggle without him and Blake loves his walks.
Simon pet care is amazing, he is so good with our year old puppy Fuse, Fuse is so excited when he hears Simon coming and I know he is great hands when out on walks. Simon will always help us when needed and was so supportive when Fuse was a tiny puppy.
Simon has been walking our dog Ruby for over 6 years since she was a puppy, he is reliable and accommodating. I would not leave my dog with anyone else. Simon and his associates are amazing, always really accomodating and more importantly have a great way with dogs and other animals. I have used Simon for dog walking and for dog and house sitting while away for weeks at a time and I couldn't recommend them highly enough.

Jo, Hannah and Emma have been walking Bodhi since we moved to the area in 2020 and they’ve done a fab job for us. Always punctual, they take great care of our precious pooch and make sure he comes back nicely tired out after a great time with his furry friends. They often send us hilarious photos of Bodhi enjoying himself which is an added bonus. Bodhi clearly loves all the team and gets very excited when he hears them calling his name for a walkies. If in doubt, book Rambles!
Rambles always look after our two cats whilst we're away and provide a fantastic service! Jo and the team are great - very friendly and professional and they always make sure they spend some time with the cats, playing or grooming, before feeding them. On occasions, when asked, they've been more than happy provide a house-sitting service and have stayed over for a few nights with the cats. Would definitely recommend them.

I have only good things to say about Rambles. Not only as a customer but also as an employee. I first came across Rambles when looking for some part time work that would fit around my shift pattern. They have been a pleasure to work for, and I knew that the service provided was what i wanted when I got my own dog. We have used Rambles since our dog was a puppy. Jo and her team provided puppy visits and then walks as he got older. Rambles really focus their service on the dog. If multiple dogs are on a walk together Jo and the team will ‘test’ the dogs out together to make sure they all get on together. On walks the dogs get well exercised and have playtime as well as a walk. What really sets Rambles apart is the little things, like Christmas presents for the dogs, taking into account the needs of the dogs. For example, Merlins Christmas present contained puppy treats when he was little, then some favourite chew treats the following year. I would be hard pressed to think of anyone other than Jo and her team at Rambles to look after my furry friend.
Jo and her team go out of their way to look after the dogs, cats and pets in their care. They genuinely love their walks and pet visits, keep you up to date with photos and even remember birthdays! I would highly recommend Rambles if you're looking for super friendly, caring, honest and reliable pet care.
We were delighted with the very professional service from Rambles Pet Care from the pre-visit to meet our 2 cats, to the daily visits when we were away for a month. It was an unexpected pleasure to receive photos whilst we were away so really knew they were well looked after and completely okay. We returned to a house clean of cat 'presents' and two very happy cats - thank you so much Ramble Pet Care.
Trusted pet carers is truly a good find, the service and care they offer is amazing. I used them when I went away for 2 weeks and when I came back off holiday I found my spaniels Tanya & Tamsin to be well fed and well cared for – not wanting to come home! They get spoilt with attention.
My fiancée contacted Trusted Pet Carers to enquire how they could help us on our wedding day, to look after our dog and have her as part of our day. During the initial communications, we dealt with Norman. A zoom call was set up with a link sent to us. We joined the call on the specified date and time, but nobody from Trusted Pet Carers joined. We waited 10 minutes and then gave up. I would not recommend this company.
My English Bulldog Luke, doesn’t like being alone for long periods of time and has a fear of kennels. It was always difficult to find someone to look after him due to these issues, until I came across Trusted Pet Carers. When I gave them details on the issues, they immediately understood and worked with me to find a carer who would be able to work with these issues. Now I’m happy that I can go on holiday and not have to worry about Luke.
Our beloved dog Olly had a great holiday with the hosts that Jeannie and Amanda matched for him, he came back so relaxed. We've already booked his next holiday. Jeannie is a lovely lady, she placed my beloved dogs with wonderful host's who looked after them as there own. I decided to become a host my self now and I love it in fact I fell in love with one particular dog and fingers crossed I will look after her again sometime this year. Barking Mad is everything you could want for your beloved dogs.
First time using Barking Mad and could not be happier with the service provided. Jeannie was extremely helpful, reassuring and punctual when collecting and dropping off our dog. We will definitely be using them again in the future.
