We were absolutely honored to sit this calm, friendly and really sweet family doggo and take care of this amazing house, which felt like a spiritual retreat with meditation room and it's perfect little garden oasis with hammock and patio. Quyana was incredible! She listened really well, and we could even take her off-leash on walks in dogparks because of her good recall. Treats might have helped too :) Important to know for further sitters: she gets really excited around any form of water. One day, a thunderstorm came up, and she got maybe too excited and jumped the fence before we even noticed that she went outside. We were lucky that neighbors found and kept her patiently waiting for us to collect her from this short adventure. We knew what we were getting into, so it was no problem. We were aware that we would find her eventually again, which was quicker than expected in the end. We also read in the instructions beforehand that it is best to be around her all the time, so when you'd like to look for things to explore, it is best to find activities where you just can take a dog with you and it is going to be the smoothest ride with her. All in all, we got the full experience of a serene and peaceful ambiance with a dog that fit right in it and was just as relaxed and comfortable around us. We appreciate very much the opportunity of Oriyah and Sean to have us sit their lovely home and furry family member for a short while. They let us feel right at home as soon as we got there. Thank you so much again for everything!
Wonderful cat sit for Max & Mungo. They are so calm and well behaved. There is a cat flap and they go in and out and so this is a lovely set up as no opening closing doors and cleaning out litter trays. The perfect getaway. The home was lovely and safe and secure & clean and inspiring. Good for the mind and body. So handy to be near Sainsbury's, shops etc. The couple were very welcoming and warm.
I’d definitely recommend Jen & Dan’s for a sit. Elvis & Ernie were very easy, and a real pleasure to look after (both were up for snuggles). Jen was very friendly and helpful, and organised visitors parking, which was much appreciated. They have a lovely home, right next to a park, with amazing views of Bath, and a pretty walk down the hill to the centre. All in all, a really nice week!
Kari and Jono were super communicative and we felt prepared going into the sit with everything we needed to know with thorough instructions to care for the goats, dogs, cat, rabbit and chickens in their beautiful cosy home. We had a fantastic week and fell in love with all of the animals making it hard to leave! Would stay again in a heartbeat! Kari and Jono are awesome people and have a wonderful home.
The kitties. The two cats are very sweet and very easy to take care of. The little guy is pretty affectionate and comes around for scratches occasionally. One or two of them would hang with me often wherever I was working during the day. They usually hang out or sleep in the living room. Feeding them 3x a day is easy with wet food and a dry food dispenser. I’m more of a dog person than a cat person, but these two won me over for the weekend. The home. Great location. It’s walkable to Dolores Park and most spots in the Mission. This apartment is on Liberty Hill in the Mission and overlooks a great swath of the central city. The views are amazing and stunning. It gets great light in the living and kitchen areas. Surprisingly I could almost always get a parking spot on the block or one over. But it’s a 2hr permit parking, so parking was problematic M-F and I had to move it or check it. Maybe better without a car because of permit parking. The room. I had to assume that 3 roommates live in the apartment. I had to guess which room to stay in so I picked the most tidy and peaceful-looking one :) The one hallway bathroom was pretty typical for an SF apartment bath/shower and got the job done. Good hot water. The pet parents. I think this was David’s first time using the service so I'm sure it's all new to him. Other, more experienced hosts I've worked with, have done a better job of a few things and I'd imagine could be better here over time. For example, making space in the refrigerator for the sitter's groceries, changing the bedding to new sheets ahead of time, updating on any diet changes, and telling about housecleaners/appointments so there are no surprises. I think a little more communication could have been helpful. Other than that, it was very easy to coordinate with David before and during the sit.
We had a wonderful time caring for Barb and Larry's beautiful house in the country and their sweetie, Athena. We loved our daily walks with Athena and our dog, Plato, along the Animas river and we never got tired of seeing the fantastic wildlife (red-tail hawks, bald eagles, flocks of geese and ducks, and deer) that liked to hang out in the trees and river behind the house. We would do this sit again in a heartbeat.
