For our first sit in Australia we had the pleasure of keeping two sweet cats company. Sweetie more than lives up to her name. Her sibling Joey is more reserved but equally adorable. Renee has made it super easy to care for them. They are definitely night owls and love their food and their sleep even more. Sweetie demands a fuss but on her terms, Joey is less keen as he needs to get to know you first. Their home is in a lovely area and is very clean, comfortable and spacious. We loved the sea views and hearing the sea at night. We found a lovely breakfast spot on the beach at nearby Terrigal with the bonus of rainbow lorikeets in the nearby trees. Renee and Justin are great hosts and we wish we could have sat for longer.

What a perfect long weekend at Ray and Claire’s beautiful home in Ketchum with sweet Gus. I love this area and this housesit reaffirmed why! Gus is a blast. He has a lot of energy but is super easy to care for. We did daily off leash hikes together and played fetch in the fenced in yard when he needed a boost of exercise. Hikes with him are a joy - he checks in often and never strays too far. This charming home is in a quiet neighborhood close to all that Ketchum and Sun Valley has to offer. There are so many trails in this area and I loved having the wide variety of options. Not only is the house beautifully decorated (with gorgeous landscaping), the bed was extremely comfortable. I slept so well with the cool night air drifting in from the open windows. Ray and Claire were welcoming and communicative hosts, and I could not have asked for more. This was my perfect kind of housesit and I hope to be back!
