Having had a house sit in Cyprus cancelled, due to the drone at Gatwick, we were fortunate in that Jane was available to stay with Tattie and Crystal once again. What can I add to my previous 2 reviews? Knowing Jane was there taking such good care of our home and "family" enabled us to enjoy our beautiful daughter's wedding to the full. We're looking to go away in September and will be inviting Jane back as soon as we have dates.
I hesitated to leave a review for Brittany, cause I really don't like to talk badly about people. But I think the safety of the pets on this platform is at stake. I found my apartment in an unspeakably dirty state. The cleaning hadn't been done for a month, everything was covered in dirt, even the walls that I had to wash, the shower black with dirt, etc. In my little two-room apartment. Some of my belongings were moved but the worst in my eyes was the state in which I found my cat, emaciated, smelly and terrified. Although I had planned a lot, he was out of food. I had purchased 4 packets of litter in advance, one per week, only one was used in a month. The poor cat had to do his business in a soaked and disgusting litter box. His water fountain was filthy, mold had started to grow. For a month I barely received any news from my cat but was regularly woken up by messages from Brittany in the middle of the night, who ignored the 6 hours time difference between us, complaining about this, or demanding that. I am appalled, in total incomprehension of what could have possessed her to behave like this towards me but especially towards Captain who is such a sweet and affectionate cat. In the 10 days since I returned, Captain still cries with fear every time I leave the apartment, which he has never done in 11 years.
Carol was a gift to me, my home and my fur baby Sammy. I was out of the country and I was assured that Carol was taking wonderful care of Sammy. Since Sammy is a senior, he needed an extra watchful eye on him and Carol went above and beyond to care for Sammy. She took him to his grooming and acupuncture appointment. She has experience with all types of dogs and even dogs that have special challenges. I would not hesitate to have Carol back at my home. I could tell that Sammy was missing Carol and that is always a great sign when you have to leave your dog behind.
A great sit, and easy communication with Irina. The pets are lovely. Niels is a sociable dog and fun to look after. Basia keeps to herself a lot of the time but sometimes comes up for scritches and likes to hang out in the same space as you. The location in the old town is amazing for exploring and there is a separate room with a sofa bed for the sitter.
