We bring our dog Aoife here for both day care and boarding. She loves it! Rae and the rest of the staff are so kind and knowledgeable about dogs. Love lil dog lodge!!
I brought my dog here twice and on both occasions he needed to pee immediately after we went outside and he was very thirsty, which confused me as those both seem like basic needs to be met. The couple that runs this has a large number of security cameras set up outside, patrolling the parking lot and surrounding area, however, they don't have any internal cameras that allow people to see the conditions the dogs are being kept in, or how often they get out to play. So I decided to take my dog elsewhere and highly recommend The Good Dog Spot.
Chompy has been going to the LDL for about 3.5 years. We love the staff and trust that she is happy when she is there because she is always so excited to arrive.
My puppy goes wild for Lil Dog Lodge. Here is a photo of him eager to be put down by my son to run to the door. He absolutely loves to go and is so excited when I pick him up. He even protested to leave once, sitting at the door step. The owner (Rae?) talked to me for a good 20 minutes, sharing her expertise. I’m grateful for this home away from home, and the price is reasonable ($15 for 3 hours, $38 or maybe less for 24 hours.).
No other place I would take my dogs. We have had the best experience with the staff and owners of Lil Dog Lodge. They make you feel like family is taking care of your fur babies and whenever we need them they are there for us!! They provide boarding and amazing snuggle time with your fur babies. Be sure to check out this wonderful and super friendly small business.
I have two precious dogs. My girlfriend and I look for pups others may not take and that comes with some behavioral issues due to neglect and abuse. One of which has separation anxiety like I’ve never seen. I’ve tried training and medications and all have failed. He is destructive when left alone and will rip up the walls. I’ve been reliant on a daycare facility for the last 6-7 years and had the privilege of working for one. My usual facility has shut down due to the virus. I have to work from home and my pups are used to being at the other daycare facility and draining their energy there. It is pretty hard to sit down and work from home when you have two dogs with separation anxiety with a ton of energy. The lodge has been a god send. I called last Friday and the lady I spoke to (I believe the owner) was very friendly and made it very easy for me to get everything set (vet records, intake form) so my pups could have their first day today. She answered all my questions and having worked at a similar facility, I had a bunch. I went in this morning and was greeted by someone who genuinely looked like she loved her job and was excited to see my dogs. She was very friendly with them. My newer dog is a very sad neglect case and has problems with new people. The lady today took it slow and I was amazed Joy didn’t bark at her. Upon pick up I was informed on how my pups did. They didn’t even want to leave at first. I had to call them from the lobby. Both came out wit tails waging and smiles on their faces. They have been exhausted since returning home. I would highly suggest using these guys in you are in the hill towns. I will continued to bring my pups until my other facility is open and use them as a backup or if I don’t wanna make the 45 minute drive to the other one. The other facility is on my way home from work anyways and they let me keep my employee discount. Being a college student that’s helpful. But if money wasn’t part of the equation, I would be just as comfortable leaving my pups at the lodge as I am with the facility I worked for and have been using for 5-6 years. These folks seem to really care about their guests.
Great staff! They really work to maintain safety.

We’ve had several great experiences for day care and over night stays, our pup goes in excitedly for drop off and comes out in good spirits during pick up
Absolutely terrible owners! Rude, cruel, and seemingly spiteful of the whole community.
Steve and Anne have a great set up. They are great people and truly care for their animals. They part of our dogs family now. They update you on your dog, send pictures and its such a great feeling knowing that your dog is in good hands. I will always bring my dog to them.
You can tell right away that Anne and Steve love dogs and are knowledgeable about dogs. Our lab Maddy is happy when she arrives and happy when we pick her up! We will always use this kennel.
An excellent kennel! Steve is a very experienced dog handler and trainer. His first concern is always for the dogs in his care. During our dog's first stay she became very scared due to a thunderstorm. Steve took the time to sit with her and keep her calm.
I highly recommend this facility! The owners really care about your animal as if they were their own! The prices are fantastic and the care provided to your animal is amazing! I cannot say enough about this kennel! I will continue to use them in the future. Our vacation was that much better knowing our dog was in great hands. Our dog loved them! Don’t hesitate to use this kennel. Again, they are amazing!
Great experience! They were in constant contact with us and sent pics every day. They took the stress out of leaving your pet while you are away. Very clean and our pup came home happy and healthy.
We love taking our Cockapoo puppy to board here. She gets so much TLC and we get pictures and updates throughout her stay. We're thankful to have our puppy here and know she'll be in good hands. Thank you so much Anne!
Endorsed by Karma, the dog! Ann and Steve are true "dog people." Our dog provides his endorsement every time he goes there. He prances happily to "his" large kennel, which has its own private fenced-in yard.
So kind and accommodating. And they clearly love the dogs. Highly recommend Summit Kennels
Top notch in every way!
