I was surprised by the disorder upon my arrival! Animal hair everywhere, garden area and furniture completely disorganized and just not clean, impossible to use. It made my less unpleasant. Also dog's nails were extremely long and kept hurting my skin every time he jumped. The house seemed unprepared for sitter's arrival. Other than that the area is OK and the cat is very friendly!
Carole and Richard we’re wonderful to us. They picked us up from the airport which was very kind and Richard made a delicious vegan dinner on arrival. Both their dogs, Dixon and Nana are sweet and loving, the both love lots of cuddles and attention. Everything went very smoothly for us, great communication, easy times with the dogs and a beautiful location to stay in if you love the countryside. I’d highly recommend this sweet family for anyone who is reliable, clean and easy going.
Birdie is absolutely wonderful and Stanley has ensured a very special place always in my heart, such a dignified gentleman man whilst being way too cute. The house is beautiful and the walks and neighbourhood absolutely gorgeous. I have loved every moment and am very grateful for the experience of the last 2.5 weeks. Thank you Birdie
I had the loveliest time looking after Bramble and the chickens! Bramble is just an angel! He's so sweet and affectionate and well behaved. Trust me when I say he's just a dream dog to look after! The chickens are also super easy to care for. And are very cute and fluffy too! Rebecca and her family are absolutely lovely! They are warm and very welcoming. Communication was spot on, the house was very clean and comfortable. I felt very at home there straight away. Shrewsbury is a beautiful town! Well worth a visit. Lots of gorgeous architecture and things to do. And Shewsbury in general is a really nice area! Highly recommended sit! Thanks again Rebecca and family :) x
We had a wonderful stay at Dani's place in Wiesen. We didn't meet in person but everything was arranged for the handover, we had a video-call beforehand where Dani showed me around his flat and he was always quick to respond during the sit. The flat is very cozy - we loooved the hammock in the living room with view of the mountains! On top it is very conveniently located - the bus stop is right outside the house and buses run up and down the valley frequently. But you really don't need to go anywhere because there are several nice walks that you can start right at the doorstep and a small supermarket is 100m down the road. At this altitude you should be prepared for any weather: we had 20 degrees when we arrived and 20cm of snow on the third day 😅. We knew the weather forecast, so no problem at all and the kids loved it… Blueberry and Peanut the cats were quite shy but warmed up more and more every day. They came for some strokes when we fed them but kept to themselves the rest of the day. In the end even the kids could pet them although the cats were not used to kids and afraid of them in the beginning. We can fully recommend this sit and hope to return ourselves one day if the dates happen to fit 😉
Laura and Alan’s home was beautiful and very cosy. It was surrounded by lovely countryside and lots of pubs, which were great for lunches where we took the dogs. Ziggy and Dexter were very loveable and we would look after them anytime. They were very well behaved.
