. We were absolutely delighted with the care Summer provided for our cats. Without a doubt, she is the best cat sitter we have ever had the pleasure of working with. Her attentiveness and genuine affection for our cats were evident in every interaction. Throughout our holidays, she kept us constantly updated with daily pictures and detailed updates, which gave us immense peace of mind. Additionally, she maintained our house in immaculate condition, keeping everything clean and tidy. This level of consideration and dedication went above and beyond our expectations, and we deeply appreciated her efforts. Summer’s exceptional service made our holiday experience truly worry-free and enjoyable.
I am struggling with naming our top adjective to describe Michael and Jeanne. "Conscientious" will likely be it but then again, "personable," "reliable," "organised," and "animal-loving" are top contenders. If you are reading this review and contemplating inviting this couple to watch your pets, then look no further. We have had a number of excellent house sitters but this pair was next level in terms of the love they showed our cats, Maxx and Nala. When we came back, we could our animals already missed them. These cats, who have never slept with anyone other than us, were getting in bed with them each night -- and that meant climbing stairs! The day before our trip, Nala got an ear infection and had to be put on steroids for asthma. Michael and Jeanne did not sign up for that when the sit was booked but they took it in stride. In the last-minute rush, I relayed that Nala needed her oral steroids morning and night. Michael read the RX label, indicating one dose a day, and contacted the vet to clarify. So you can see why "conscientious" is right up there. They saved Nala from an overdose! We were gone three weeks and they sent us just the right amount of pictures and videos. They bought cat toys (I forgot to put ours out!) and actively engaged with them, including 20-minute massages for Maxx. I truly believed them when they said they fell in love with our fur babies. The house was spotless (which was not important to me but truly appreciated) but I smiled when all six water stations in our yard were filled. They took seriously my love for and the needs of the wildlife in our yard. Our plants were all in good condition as well. Sensing they were "next level" when I met them, I predicted they would want to leave a meal for us upon our return. I asked them not to but they found another way to bow out with class. They made a donation to a nonprofit I work with instead. This I learned from the lovely thank you note they left. I hope they will consider Charles and I friends because we certainly feel that way about them now. What special people. If you book them, treat them well because they are going to do that for you for sure.
Kathy and Ron have sat for us several times in the past and have always been excellent. They are our "go-to" pet and house sitters and we always check their availability before we post a sit. They are trustworthy, organized, communicate very well, and take great care of our cats and our house. We hope they will continue pet sitting for many years to come!
After seeing the numerous positive reviews, I knew Cung would be an easygoing and professional cat sitter and house guest, and he was :-) Easy communication, prompt updates and clear concern for Boz & Artie's wellbeing, and pictures of cozying up on the couch together all made our time away secure and stress free. Upon returning home, the cats were chill and the apt was left spotless, as though he hadn't even been there.
Amanda is truly our trusted sitter "find"! She comes back regularly, so much so that our kitties think she is their secondary owner! Always reliable, clean, responsible and most of all loves our cats as much as we do! Good communicator, self reliant - all in all a perfect "10"!
Wow, what a find Justin is! I feel as though I won a lottery. As I was revelling in the communication we were having during his stay, I looked over his profile and realized either that he had updated it during his stay OR I never even read it. I was so impressed with his initial application that described multiple stays taking care of cats in Turkey that I knew he was going to be a great choice. So I'm not sure that I even read his profile or reviews. Turned out...he was more than I could have EVER hoped for. Justin is VERY organized and clear with his communication. Just as--or maybe more--important, he is a poster child for what zeewoi can be: more than just an economical way to get a pet sitter or a place to stay. Justin embraces the barter economy and the opportunity it presents to get to know people. Although we only met the day that I turned the house and my 2 cats over to his care, we had delightful communication throughout his stay. He wanted to be sure he was providing the right care to all living and non-living elements of my home as well as just chat beyond what we'd had an opportunity to cover when we were face to face on the handoff day. Bottom line: I'd have Justin back even if I wasn't going anywhere! I've met a friend. And my neighbors did as well! Oh yes, and my two cats were well looked after, the house was in ship shape, and Justin was able to brief the next sitter in person (I'd had to extend my time away and Justin already had another commitment). To say I felt confident leaving my pets and home in Justin's care is an understatement. Justin is a real adventurer and believer in the power of both human and animal connection. Without a doubt, I would recommend him as a sitter...and a friend! Thank you, Justin for a great example of how to wrestle so much more meaning out of zeewoi.
Laura came across the country to sit for us. She arrived a day early and from the moment my pets met her our Lokie was smitten. We have one shy cat Luna and she was out and about on the first night. Laura kept us updated and shared her Adventures as well. We do live in a small hideaway of a town so seeing that she was able to enjoy herself was nice. We returned to a clean home, laundry done also, and very content pets. Lokie was sad for a few days as he missed his friend. We would recommend Laura as a sitter to anyone and would have her back again. 5 plus stars. ⭐
My husband and I are so grateful for Cendy staying with our ~1yr old cat for nearly a full month. We were nervous to leave her for so long but Cendy had Wilma literally eating out of the palm of his hand and snuggling with him in no time. Cendy was incredibly communicative with us and attentive to Wilma consistently for the entire duration of the sit which was such a relief and gave us the piece-of-mind needed to fully enjoy our trip. We returned back to an impeccably clean apartment and a very content kitty. For the first few days back Wilma was definitely looking around for Cendy, missing her buddy. We (and Wilma!) would welcome Cendy back any time, especially for a longer stay knowing how responsible of a sitter he was. Couldn't recommend enough!
My husband and I reached out to Toby & Chloe after reading their profile and impressive reviews only a week before our trip, since our scheduled sitter had to cancel at the last moment. They were very friendly and quick to respond to chat from the very beginning, and ended up exceeding our expectations during their two week stay. It was evident they had thoroughly read our Welcome Guide beforehand, as they arrived knowledgeable and prepared to care for our home and pets. They were very willing and happy to take the necessary time with us to walk through the house and meet our cats, as we got them acclimated with our daily routines and answered any questions. Shortly after we left, our city had a heat wave come through, and after immediately notifying us, Toby went beyond the call of duty and inspected our struggling AC unit to pinpoint the issue. As far as cat care is concerned, we have two seniors (who have more sensitive tummies) that can get irritated after a fur ball or swallowing anything out of the ordinary. When this occurred, Toby & Chloe stepped in and took wonderful care of our cat duo; softening their food and even cradling while hand-feeding them for extra comfort. We truly could not have asked for more affectionate and responsible sitters. We returned to a spotlessly clean home, happy cats, and well maintained plants and pool. (They even cleaned our dusty Kitchen pendant lighting, which requires a steady hand and is definitely a time-commitment …We felt like professional housecleaners had been there!) On our way back, Toby & Chloe stayed in communication with us to monitor our arrival time, allowing them to care for our cats until just before we got home. Overall, they are very reliable and trustworthy sitters whose genuine goal is to provide a top-quality sit, while maintaining your household and seamlessly transitioning to your pets daily schedule.
Chris was a fantastic cat sitter for our elderly and high maintenance kitty. Chris was the perfect combination of responsible and on top of her medication needs while also being calm and relaxed about her picky eating habits and the need to monitor her food and medication consumption. He was prompt, easy to get a hold of, responsible, and overall, a great sitter. I would definitely recommend him and most certainly hope to have him stay with her again.
Is it better to board cats or leave at home?
Veterinarians advising to leave cats at home with a pet sitter who will stay overnight in your home, boarding is not recommended for cats as they are stressed in a new environment, you can find a sitter who will care for your cats and home overnight at Sittsy.
How much should you pay someone to watch your cat?
At least 20$ per visit, $27/week per overnight watching in your home, otherwise you can find a free sitter at Sittsy.
What do people do with their cats when they go on vacation?
Inviting a cat sitter to your home, boarding the cat with a local business, asking a friend, family or neighbour to feed and check the well-being. I've used Happy Hounds twice a week for the last several months and had my Boomer stay with Holly for a week. I'd give them 10 stars if I could! Very dependable & very loving! Never worry about a no-show or that my baby wouldn't be well cared for plus Boomer loves them! Highly recommend!!
I just moved to the Charlotte area and had to go out of town for a wedding. I contacted Happy Hounds regarding a meet and greet. From the first message, Holly was amazing. She was very prompt in responding and took the time to meet with us to see if home-style boarding would work. The online portal made it very easy to schedule, communicate and pay for the services. When I picked up my dog, he was very happy and I could tell he had the best time :) Huge peace of mind knowing that my dog is in great hands! All around a wonderful, stress-free experience. I highly recommend Happy Hounds!
What an amazing discovery finding Happy Hounds has been! Such a relief to find an alternative to boarding and kennels. Holly with the Happy Hounds team is amazing and will leave you with such peace of mind knowing your pet is safe (and happy). They sends text updates and pictures of your pets, which is such a great treat! From the initial consultation with Happy Hounds, I knew this was going to be a perfect fit! I have recommended them to all of my friends and will continue using them in the future. Thank you for bringing such an amazing service to Charlotte!!
Happy Hounds is the best boarding option for me in the Charlotte area! I have been in-home boarding with Holly for several years. I could not recommend Happy Hounds highly enough. Your dogs are treated like family, and the communication is wonderful; I always am reassured and reminded that my senior dog is having fun and being an angel. I will be using them for dog walks in the future, too!
We had a wonderful experience with this service! We left our dog with Holly during a week-long trip out of town. He normally has some anxiety issues so boarding him was not an option for us. For the same price we were able to leave him with a passionate, caring dog lover in a home-like environment who treated him like family. We got lots of reassuring photos and updates while we were gone and Brownie was very happy! We will definitely use Happy Hounds again and again!
Happy Hounds is amazing! Happy Hounds is the first pet sitting we’ve used and they completely exceeded our expectations. One of our dogs is blind and Holly was super comfortable with her. When we came to pick our dogs up, they were happy to see us but not happy to leave! Highly recommend!
Absolutely love this service! We got an 8 week old puppy which we were completely unprepared for in regards to potty training and needing multiple walks per day. Needless to say when Monday morning came around I panicked. Holly was so accommodating on such short notice. She came over to meet my baby free of charge and was able to give me multiple options for us to choose from in order to best meet our needs. Our little one requires 2 and sometimes 3 walks per day, our schedule may very week to week and this has been no problem at all for a very reasonable price. Our puppy is always calm (as a puppy can be) and happy when we get home. Holly pays such great attention to our baby and has been great in reinforcing all of her training needs. I get wonderful text messages and pictures that help reassure me that she is doing well and she always looks so excited to be out with Holly. Happy Hounds is a caring attentive service for your pets needs and is extremely reliable and affordable .
Happy Hounds is the BEST. Holly cares for my dog 4 times a week while I am at work. This has been so helpful for me because not only does Holly walk her and let her out, she is also super flexible and caring. She can give my dog treats and chew toys that I only want her to have for half the day, leave her in or out of her crate, etc. Holly sends me a status update and picture every day, which I love getting! She's also really been there for us in a pinch when I unexpectedly need a last-minute walk and has even cleaned up puppy accidents a couple of times... My dog also home boarded with Holly over a long weekend. She was so well-cared for and it was so easy for me because Holly picked her up and dropped her off for me. The prices are also the cheapest I have seen in Charlotte. I didn't think I would be able to afford a dog walker but Happy Hounds has been tremendously valuable to me (and cheap)!
I've used a few different pet-sitting services over the years and Happy Hounds is by far the best! Holly is amazing. Not only does she take excellent care of my dog, but she's respectful of my home as well. She brings in the mail and trash bins; knows how to work my alarm system; will turn lights on and off and will even spend the night when I have to go out of town for work. She is responsive to new sitting requests and always sends an update (and picture!) via text when she's at my house. Best of all, she loves what she does and it shows! Her human clients and her pet clients love her equally as well!
Happy Hounds is the best! Holly and Mike alleviate our worries when we are out of town. Our sweet girl is 15 years old and has special senior needs. They understand and take extra care to make sure she is happy, comfortable and taken care of. Love the pictures we get with the status texts!
First of all, Tara is a kind and sweet person. She has watched my dog, Sadie, multiple times. I don’t trust just anyone with my baby, but I would trust Tara any day hands down. She is a true animal lover and has lots of experience caring for animals. She is reliable, flexible, and overall a blessing to our family as she is always so willing to look after Sadie. I recommend Uptown Pets of Charlotte to everyone, especially those who are hesitant about leaving their pets with someone new.
Tara is one of a kind. Her genuine compassion for animals and pets is just amazing. She is a true animal lover and just such a kind person with an amazing heart. My son adopted a dog (who is now my grand dog and spoiled rotten!) And Tara helped out so much with a procedure that he had to have done. She is a blessing in so many ways to the animal community!!!
I got a Pomeranian from Tera years ago and I’m very thankful for him and for Tera. I wouldn’t have been able to get to where I am today without my dog snuggles. She also helped with a knee surgery for him out of her own pocket. No one is more trustworthy than Tera. ❤️
Tara is Kind and Very Competent! I feel safe having her watch my furbabies! She allows me to enjoy my vacations without worry and that is very important to me! I will never use anyone else! Plus my dogs Love her! That tells me how much my dogs Love her too! ❤️
If I could give more stars I would! Your pets will not only be safe and well cared for, you will pick them up and see happy, relaxed pets! Tara brings not only the knowledge of a well rounded and educated animal person, she brings a true love of animals and her work. Nothing is better than knowing your pets are being beyond cared for! We just love her! ❤️☺️🐾
Tara is one of the most kindest people I’ve ever met ! She is extremely attentive with animals and such a caring person who I trust with my pets . She cares more about animals than anyone I’ve ever met . Highly recommend this wonderful person to watch your furbabies
Tara is the absolute BEST. She’s the best person I know. Only person I could trust 110% with my fur babies. Not only is she just good with animals, she’s also an amazing person to get to know and talk to. Anybody would be so lucky to have her as a friend. I know I am. She has the common sense that most people lack, she’s very good at thinking on her toes god forbid something come up. She has a lot of knowledge about a lot of animals, domesticated and wild. If there was ever an encounter with your pets with wildlife, Tara knows what to do! And if she doesn’t, she knows HUNDREDS of people in the animal world that are willing to help with just a quick message. She’s the sweetest most caring person. She’s gone through a lot but still comes out the STRONGEST most BEAUTIFUL person INSIDE AND OUT!!!!! If you’re in trouble, down in the dumps, have a question- she’s ALWAYS the best person to talk to. Through many things I’ve experienced, loss of pets, problems with relationships, with my parents, living situations she’s the FIRST person I’d talk to. And EVERY. SINGLE. TIME. she will give you new hope that you need to continue forward. And somehow she’s magically the same with animals. If you’ve ever seen the movie Snow White- ITS HER. (Minus the dwarfs of course😂) this woman is everything that is magical. She is like a bada$$ Disney princess, therapist, best friend and comedian all in one!!!!! And I hope and pray that you choose her for ANYTHING involving your fur babies. Don’t let your pets end up in situations where they’re getting abused behind doors or neglected because Tara will take SUCH good care of them like they’re her own- even when nobody is watching!!!! If you read this review and still decide to go elsewhere you’re a FOOL
Tara is one of the most loving and trustworthy people I know. She treats every animal with the care that she gives her own. She's a total animal lover.
Tara is, by far, the most kind and loving animal-loving soul I have met on this planet. She has a way with animals and absolutely loooooves animals of ALL kinds. There is no better choice for a pet sitter than she!
Tara is very knowledgeable :) I've had countless questions and she answered and guiding me to help an injured wildlife animal. I am grateful for her kind heart all the way up in Michigan!
We love Camp Bow Wow! My dog, Buzz is so happy and tired when he gets home. I know he's safe and has fun and the staff is wonderful. I let everyone I know who has a dog that it's a great place.
I love camp bow wow! The employees love my son, Joshua like he is there’s ! Joshua never likes to leave me he gets so scared but when he gets to camp he’s beyond excited. The extra classes are amazing too! They send pics of your doggy having the best day ever! Thank you for loving, Josh Allen!
I took my three dogs for the interview process this past weekend and had the best experience. We will be boarding with Camp Bow Wow from now on. Pic for cuteness.
Had my dog stay for 5 days overnight. Was given back the same amount of food with my dog visibly skinner. I was given the basic excuses but when I asked for further information they never took notes on her feeding schedules. The only thing I can think of was she wasn’t fed for almost the entire time she was there. I wouldn’t have made this post for this alone, but I picked her up she had a huge swollen red eye with the most disgusting puss oozing. No one mentioned this to me before pick up and I had to pay for an emergency vet visit where it was obviously expensive and vet said it must have been like this for days. Lastly the staff seems to be incompetent as there was always an issue when I was there. Someone getting charged wrong amounts, bring wrong dogs for pickups, staff never answering phones, and issues with reservations. Ultimately I cannot go back here. I let them know and they mentioned to try and make it up to me but the trust with this place is permanently lost. For someone who loves there dog so much and to have them be treated so poorly there is nothing that could correct this.
My Oreo loves Camp Bow Wow! He’s a high energy dog. By the time he comes home he’s good and tired😉. The staff are always so warm and easy to talk to. Besides day care, I have also used boarding. They have lots of activities to keep your furry friend busy. I also like that I can check in on him through the app. …
Great staff! The 4 employees I met during pickup and drop off were all sweet. I dropped my dog off for a boarding stay for 5 days and they took really good care of Zane. They sent pictures and made his first stay very comfortable for him. Oh and it’s also super clean inside. I watched the cameras daily and noticed they were on top of their cleaning. Very much appreciated.
I miss the old management? They loved and knew my dogs. This new group doesn’t seem to have everything together. The staff isn’t as friendly and seem to “sit in their office”. Also I have noticed the cameras are always down. The cameras were never down before and the staff was certainly more enthusiastic while welcoming and picking up our dogs
Great group at CBW Matthews. Enrichment time is worth the extra to spoil your pup. Mine loves it.
We love Camp Bow Wow! Our Benjy always has fun playing and boarding. Makes it so easy when going out of town to have peace of mind that our boy is happy!
What I like is that my dog is very happy to go. The service there is very friendly to our furry animals. It’s nice that they have special day of entertainment for our animals. They change it up every week. They celebrate all the holidays which includes our furry friends. It a very friendly atmosphere. They are always so welcoming smiles and greetings.
Lucky has stayed here many times while we are on vacation. I feel so relaxed when I leave him with Cynthia. I know Lucky is in good hands and there is no need to worry. We love the videos she posts on Facebook. She stays up to date on all shots and lets you know when she needs updated records. She also knows how to keep the dogs separated so they are safe. Love this place and looking forward to our next stay. 🐶 Would highly recommend Unleashed Pet Resort to anyone looking for a safe place for their dog to stay while away. The photo of Lucky is from his first visit at Unleashed Pet Resort
I've been taking my puppy, Raven, to Unleashed Pet Resort for a couple of months now and we absolutely love it! I cannot say enough good things about Cynthia and Unleashed Pet Resort. Whether I'm bringing Raven for a day of doggy daycare or for a week of boarding, I can always trust that Raven will be safe, loved, and have a great time playing with her friends. Cynthia loves all of the animals that stay with her, and Raven gets excited every time we pull into her driveway. Cynthia takes the time to get to know each dog and put them in a play area with similar dogs. Raven is extremely high energy, so we're always happy to see Cynthia's Facebook posts of Raven running around playing with her friends. I would highly recommend Unleashed Pet Resort to anyone looking for a safe, fun, and friendly dog daycare or boarding for their dog!
We have been bringing our puppy to Unleashed Pet Resort for a couple of months and we are so happy with Cynthia and the facility. Raven is a very hyper puppy, but she is able to get out all her energy when she is at day care or stays for a couple of nights! We have gone away for extended periods of time and Raven has done great with spending time there. When we drop her off she is so excited to go that she doesn’t even say bye to us! I couldn’t recommend Unleased Pet Resort anymore for day care or over nights stays!
We love Cynthia! We have two dogs (Bentley is just over 1y and Gizmo just over 2 mo.) and Cynthia has taken great care of them. Both are white dogs with all the fun skin issues white dogs get. Cynthia has no problem giving daily medications and will even groom/bathe your dog. I know my dogs are always happy when they go to her house. She sends photo/video updates of your dog to make you comfortable as well. I look forward to those! I highly recommend her for your daycare/boarding needs. You will not regret it! One of the best places I've taken my pets.
We have finally found a doggie daycare for our 5 month old lab, Harley. Cynthia has the perfect setup for pups, rain or shine. She took great care of our boy and you can definitely tell she has a love for animals! This was Harley’s first time being in daycare all day and when I picked him up, I’m pretty sure he didn’t want to leave his new puppy friends. We will be back and on a regular basis. Thanks so much for loving on our baby today!
I've taken my dog here for a couple of years now, and even though I've moved and it's a 30+ minute drive to get there now, it's worth the extra drive. I love that my dog doesn't just sit lonely in a kennel all day. He gets to run around - unleashed! - in a great play area. He gets lots of personal interaction, not just someone who feeds him and lets him out twice a day. And she posts pictures and videos too, so you can see them all having fun. I wouldn't take him anywhere else! Thanks, Cynthia, for having such a great place where I can bring my dog and know he'll be loved and treated well!
Cynthia and her helpers are great! No matter the size of your dog(s), or if its daycare or boarding, they are given lots of love and plenty of playtime. It's been that way since day 1, and we've been coming for 6 years 🐶🐕🐩🐾🐾 …
Cynthia is great, she is organized, responds quickly and she is very nice. The dogs get plenty of time outside and she posts videos on Facebook so you can see what your babies are up to! I would definitely recommend Unleashed Pet Resort!
Truly the best boarding experience. I love everything about Cynthia's set up. She is on top of everything and my dog loves it there. So thankful we found her.
Best doggie daycare / boarding facility I have visited! My dog absolutely loved her first visit! So much playtime with great supervision and clean facilities! Cynthia is awesome! She works so hard to make sure ever customer is treated like royalty! Thank you!!
We chose Love and Kisses Pet Sitting to help us out during long work days with our sweet pup Hazel. We have been more than pleased. The ownership is top notch and Ms. Karen who walks Hazel is amazing. Hazel loves her so much and is happy to see her each visit. I highly recommend them for the care of your pet.
Love and Kisses provides the best, most genuine caring service for your pet. I feel rest assured knowing that my cat will be well taken care of each and every time I’m out of town. They provide great care, excellent daily up to date notes and sweet photos of your pet. They ALWAYS go out of their way to accommodate your pet’s needs! They are truly one of a kind. Thank you Love and Kisses for all that you do for(me) my cat!
I went away for a long weekend vacation and I was nervous to leave my cat. My cat Mazie received the best care while I was gone, and I got daily pictures of her so I knew she was okay and happy. Definitely will be using this service again. Jamie was AMAZING!
It’s difficult leaving your fur babies. It’s even more difficult finding someone you trust to take care of them in your home. From day one 4 years ago love and kisses has been great !! Shonda has taken great care of my baby. The bonus is they will even get your mail, water the plants if you need. I wouldn’t trust anyone other company with taking care of my baby. I don’t have to worry too much when we are away.
Cat Methaney is our love and kisses pet sitter who has been a part of our family for over a year now. She is more than a responsible pet caregiver. She is caring and loving, whether it's a boisterous young dog, or one in her final days. She is also concerned with the household and is considerate to everyone's needs. I mean, our pet is part of our family, correct?
Prompt, courteous, professional and love pets. Shonda took amazing care of our 2 dogs, 2 rabbits and many chickens and ducks. She was prompt every day and sent detailed reports of our happy babies. We don't go away often but will use Love and Kisses again and will highly recommend to anyone who asks. One area of improvement and it's small is the website. It's a little intricate and tricky to get set up.
A fantastic group of people who truly care about the animals in their care. I cannot say enough good things about "Love and Kisses Pet Sitting." We've used them since moving to NC and have been completely pleased. Our dogs, Louie and Maggie, are cared for right in our own home. We never worry about them getting hurt by another dog in a kennel. While away our pet sitter sends us updates and photos of them. Louie and Maggie love their pet sitter and are happy when she comes to see them. Their convenient online scheduler makes booking dates a breeze. We recently had to attend a funeral out of state. Even at short notice Love and Kisses made themselves available to us. During that time we were concerned about many things. Louie and Maggie's care was not one of them. We knew they in great hands. So glad a service like this is offered in our area!! - Dena Hurelbaus
Teresa was so great with my cats and they really love her! I was given updates twice a day with pictures. I really appreciate the text updates every visit. It gives me peace of mind that my guys are taken care of while I’m away. The office staff are also super friendly and helpful. Shelly made booking so easy. Highly recommend them for your pet sitting needs. Will use them again soon!
I have been using Love and Kisses to do nail trims on my dogs for several weeks now and I am absolutely thrilled with Shelly. Her communication and flexibility with me is incredible, and she is so genuinely excited to see my dogs. One has had some trouble with nail trims before and we muzzle him for safety, she is so patient with him and has helped to make his nail trims less stressful. The cost is so reasonable, and I would likely pay more at a grooming salon which would be much more stressful for my anxious pup. Thank you Shelly for taking such great care of Jake and Elle!
Absolutely hands down the best team of pet professionals I will always rely on for pet sitting needs. I cannot recommend this group enough. All interactions have been extremely positive and my pets always look beyond thrilled to have them there. Always going above and beyond with professionalism and superb customer service. I usually fly out family to sit our pets while away, and this group supersedes that! Cannot recommend enough.
I have been using queen city petsitting for years and highly recommend them!! Let's start with James. I can always count on James to answer any questions I have and assign the right person for my fur babies. He is courteous, professional and always extends a helping hand when you need one. In fact, we just got a 2 month old kitten who needed additional TLC in the evenings, this was over the Christmas holidays, and he found us a catsitter that could take care of her. We also want to thank Idelisse for taking care of our fur babies in the evening, even through thr Christmas holidays. Last but not least, Mallory is a godsend! We've been requesting Mallory for years and we can always count on her. She made herself available over the Christmas holidays, our fur babies love her, hang out with her and spends quality time with them. Our vacations are always stress free as we know that our fur babies are in good hands!
I was very grateful to find Queen City Pet Sitting. This was the first extended vacation I took with my parents, and usually we are each other's sitters when we travel. I rely heavily on reviews and stumbled upon QC Pet Sitting and I could not be happier! Stacey the owner immediately responded to my query and provided me with a quote. Their prices are fair and reasonable compared to their competitors and the services did not disappoint. Sarah stayed with our 3 pups in my home while we were on a 7-night cruise. I was very nervous since this is the longest any of has have left our furbabies with someone who wasn’t family. However, Sarah was extremely professional and gave us a huge sense of security and relief knowing they were safe in my home taken care of and treated like family. She sent timely updates and photos (and snuggled in bed) with every visit and kept me in the loop the entire vacation! I cannot thank Sarah and Queen City PS for their services. It is so wonderful to have this option in the future. We are already planning our next trip!
We have been using Queen City Pet Sitting for over a year now and I have nothing but wonderful things to say about their service. Booking my reservation was easy. The management is professional and prompt to get back to you if a question or concern arises. The sitters that we have had have been wonderful with our 4 legged baby. They were both very good about communicating and sending pictures and updates, frequently. We will definitely use their services again in the future!
We’ve used Queen City Pet Sitting 2-3 times now and would highly recommend them for anyone in the area. Our pet sitters came to meet us, get the layout of the house, introduce themselves to the pets (5 cats, some more skittish than others), and set up the schedule with us. Each pet sitter was diligent in letting us know when they stopped by the house and sent pictures of the pets (have added some of those to this review). We’ve had great experiences with them and will continue to use them when we have trips out of town! Stacey, the owner, and the staff are very communicative, friendly, and quick to answer questions whenever asked!
We were really happy with the care that Dennis took over our two cats while we were away. He visited us beforehand to learn the routine and meet them, and then communicated really thoroughly with us about each visit, including photos. That really set our minds at ease that the cats were being well looked after. We'd highly recommend him and Queen City Pet Sitting.
I have been using QCPS for about 2 months now and they have been there for me during 3 separate trips over that time period. I cannot say enough good things about this service. Stacey (owner) is absolutely fantastic and goes above and beyond for her clients. My dog, Whiskey (pictured), is a bit of a "special needs" case as he does not get along well with other pups. Additionally, I happen to live in a high-rise filled with other pups. So, getting him in and out safely can be a challenge. I have now had three visits without incident. The team (Casey and James) that have looked after Whiskey have taken the time to get to know him, understand his routine and ensure that my travel has not come at the expense of my best friend, Mr. Whiskers. In my most recent business trip, we were almost unable to find anyone to watch him and I was facing the possibility of driving 9.5 hours each way to and from Florida for a video shoot. Stacey came through in the last minute, offering up her office manager as a solution. Her words, "I put myself in your shoes and I just couldn't do that to you." These people are incredible, reasonably priced, care about you & your fuzzy buddies personally and I am just so very thankful I found them!
My family had a long trip planned, at the last minute I realized I needed pet care, my usual sitter wasn’t available. One of my neighbors uses someone from Queen City and loves them. So I reached out, the owner Stacey immediately called me, she hooked me up with the best pet sitter ever! Sharon took such good care of my babies, went above and beyond doing things that needed done like bringing in packages. I was nervous at first because I didn’t know her, but Stacey reassured me she’d been thoroughly background checked with lots of glowing references. She lived up to all the praise!! It’s so nice to have someone like that to trust your fur babies and your home with when you leave town. I’m so grateful to Stacey and Sharon…they took care of me and my babies when I was in need!
Best service ever! Stacey, Queen City owner, has been beyond phenomenal with scheduling and providing top notch service. My sitter, Savannah, is truly exceptional. She has given such love to my elderly dogs, one of which we recently lost. Her compassion exudes from her. Hugest gratitude for their service. Recommend with zero hesitation.
We started using Queen City Pet Sitting ~ 1 1/2 years ago. Stacey has been wonderful & always extremely responsive. And, our pets—two medium-sized dogs & two cats—love Tristian’s & Lea’s visits. We highly recommend their services.
I have had very positive experiences with QC Pet Sitting. Our sitter Jeremy is wonderful! He texted me updates and pictures of our dog during his visits, and he spent extra time and showed lots of patience when he was being temperamental. Stacey is very responsive and has provided several ways of getting in touch with her or a staff member if needed. Highly recommend!
This place is great. Used to take my dog to another local boarding facility. I was getting telephone calls daily that she was stressed and not eating and throwing up. I was happy to see that this place opened up close to my home so I decided to give it a try. She was all excited , Not Anxious, entering for her social evaluation day . She did great. I set her up for a spa day and I never received telephone calls. She was clean and fluffy when I picked her up very excited. not stressed. Now she expects spa treatments at home. I have told all of her friends in the neighborhood that’s the place to go. Bailey will board there on our next vacation.
Beyond pleased with my experience here for my Huskies. Price was fantastic and worth every penny. Front desk staff was tremendous and the paw-gress reports I received gave me peace of mind while my dogs were boarded here. Will be back for all other boarding needs. Thank you team for your professionalism, support, and handling of my boys. Means more than you know!
This place is awesome. My aussie loves going here so much that she jumps out of the car and immediately runs up to the door to go in. She doesn't even say bye, because she is so excited to be there. I know they have to take great care of her to get that excited. So easy to book play dates and such a lovely staff that knows my dog after only a couple of visits. Perfect place for dog daycare and their hours can fit any schedule! Take your dogs here. They will have one of the best days of their lives.
I took two of my cats to Petsuites and had a wonderful experience. The staff was very friendly and the location was very inviting. I called for a check up on my fur babies and got a personal report from one of the lovely managers Rayna. I can tell they really have a passion for the animals in their care at this location. 10/10, would recommend.
I have used this location to board my pup several times now, and it has always been a good experience. My pup loves staying here. He gets excited as soon as we pull up in the parking lot, and he barely notices that I'm gone after I leave lol. He loves the workers and other dogs he gets to play with during his stay.
Diligence and care are their top priority here. Other pet care places I’ve been to haven’t been nearly as gentle with my fur baby. Rayna Theriot will answer any questions and concerns and make sure you and your fur baby are satisfied!! Rest assured that your furry friend will have a great time!! :)
We usually take our fur babies with us when we travel, but sometimes you just can’t. We had that situation over the Christmas holidays so we needed a safe place for them to stay. Our usual place was booked so I decided to check out Petsuites-Harrisburg. From the time I walked in I felt comfortable leaving my pups in their care. I was able to tour the facility and found it to be exceptionally clean and the dogs looked happy. My dogs stayed in a premium suite with a TV and webcam so we could check in on them. They looked happy and were playing. Any accidents they had were cleaned promptly and they came home with everything they took. Staff were great and I will definitely use them again!
I had a great experience here. I brought my dog in for a grooming appointment. Before I handed my dog over to them, they asked me a bunch of safety questions and questions about if my dog had any scrapes, missing hair patches, or wounds so that they could watch out for them and so that I could be concerned if he had them after the grooming appointment- I thought that was a great idea. And then they kept him for about 4 hours and sent me a picture of him during the bath, I loved that! All the staff were very friendly to me and very lovable towards my dog! I will be going back for sure!
I’ve been taking my dog here to be socialized since he was a puppy. They offer puppy preschool to help get your dog playing with others. As he’s grown, he still enjoys coming to doggy daycare. A tired doggy is what I pick up in the afternoon.
My dog is older and takes a lot of meds. They were really good at making sure he was kept on his med schedule and triple checked. He was also there on his bday and they celebrated him which was so sweet! This I believe was our 3rd stay and I will definitely be rebooking.
for YEARS we have brought our dogs to Noda Bark and Board. The staff is so sweet, caring and genuine. They take good care of our dogs and we can tell because they are excited when they get there and excited when they see staff members. If you aren't going to NB+B get on it!
Love, love, LOVE NoDa Bark and Board!! They take amazing care of our pup for daycare and boarding. The drop off and pick up process is quick, which is great when I’m in a rush. The dogs have a ton of room to play, and they all clearly love being there. Our pup loves Bark and Board so much that he is in full tail-wagging mode as soon as he realizes that’s where we are headed in the morning. Pro tip: Occasionally, daycare gets full for the day, or is closed to accommodate boarding. Arrive early for daycare, and check social media for day daycare availability, on days that are likely to be popular boarding days like holidays and long weekends.
The NoDa B&B team are awesome! They are always excited to see their canine friends and my pup loves going! Nice, clean, convenient facility!
You will not find a better day care in Charlotte with staff that genuinely care for your dog. While they don’t have “puppachinos” or “pumpkin spice blow outs” for an additional cost…they do have people loving your dogs and watching them carefully. I’ll take that any day over the eye candy. Making sure they are safe and with the appropriate play group. I have never been concerned with my dog when he came home. He’s always in the same condition as I left him. Just extra tired 😉
My dog and I love it here. Get here early (before 7:30) though for daycare.
I’ve been using this place for years with two different dogs (first one passed). 5 stars because my dogs have always been obsessed with it — and we’ve gone to other places when they’ve been booked up. My current dog comes home from daycare exhausted and stays that way until the next day. They have also taken steps recently to make clients feel more connected, such as thank you emails after boarding overnight. They don’t have the bells and whistles of cameras to observe them during the day, but I don’t feel like I need those things and my dog shows me his preference where I wouldn’t seek anywhere else over something as small as that.
My dogs are treated with love and care, could not ask for better.
We were looking for a place to board our pup while visiting Charlotte. In calling for information, the person who answered the phone (I think her name was Jordan) was excessively curt and rude. They are not currently accepting new clients (which could easily be posted on their website), which is fine, but the rudeness was unnecessary.
We love it here and have been happy during our three+ years there. Our little pup loves playing with her friends and the staff is beyond caring and kind.
Our pup loves day care here! They are affordable, amazing with the dogs, provide consistent fun for our fur baby, and are extremely accommodating and flexible. And they post photos of your pup on their Instagram so you can stalk your furry child while you’re at work or out of town!
The staff and the facility is awesome. Winston can't wait to go to camp and absolutely loves it. He gets out all that energy he has! What a great place!
The boy absolutely LOVE going to Camp. When they get home on their day to go. They are pooped from all day of fun with their friends. The staff and owner are always kind! We LOVE Camp Happy Hound!!!
Camp Happy Hound is a great place for dogs in Concord, Harrisburg, and nearby areas. We have two dogs, Tigger and Roo, who love to go. Roo literally starts whining as we go up the driveway. The facility is great, and the play areas are amazing. It's fun to watch the hundreds of pictures uploaded daily to the Facebook page. The place is great. We utilize their daycare and boarding services often. They also do nails and bathing. Love the folks! We feel very comfortable leaving our dogs in their care.
Due to poor health I haven't given my furbaby the exercise he needs. He loves going and I love seeing the pictures they post daily. Every single person who works there is wonderful and takes good care of the dogs. It's a reasonable fee and it's worth every penny.
I cannot rave enough about Camp Happy Hound. Been taking my pups two days a week since September 2022 (the two days I work from home). They are so excited to go sometimes they wake me up an hour early 🤣! They love the kids who work their and run in the door to see them. And my absolute favorite part is that every day after they've been there, Camp Happy Hound posts photos on their Facebook page of all the dogs playing outside! I can't imagine entrusting PJ and Ripley to anyone else ❤️. These are a few of the photos from the Facebook page (I download them every week!)
This wonderful place gives the utmost care for your furry friend. We boarded our girl, Freya, for a week for vacation. She fell ill and they were able to take her to a local vet for us.. They gave me a lot of updates on her and were super helpful. It's a 30 minute drive to Camp Happy Hound but it's worth it knowing my girl is being taken care of. Whether it's boarding or just daycare there is noone I trust more than the staff at Camp Happy Hound. 😊🐕
Our dog, Douglas, loves to stay here while we are away on vacation. We trust Camp Happy Hound. They do a great job taking care of him.
I took my new rescue, Cole, for first day. The manager called me a dog flipper and told me I was not welcome to return nor were any of my dogs. “Flipping“. would imply that I’m profiting from going to high kill shelters pulling out dogs on death row with my own money, then going into credit card debt while caring for their every need including vet bills, often obedience lessons and yes—even doggy day care. Yes, I’m into animal rescue although very few of my rescues have found their way to Camp Happy Hounds. All my rescues have found wonderful homes! Still reeling from being personally attacked, insulted and maligned for helping dogs! I’ve often fostered dogs for people who find themselves in situations where they can’t keep their dog with them for one reason or another. Stella was a regular at Camp Happy Hounds for over a year. Her family left their house in Charlotte and moved into an RV. Stella is an energetic runner and escape artist who enjoyed her time at Camp Happy Hounds. Stella’s family purchased a 200 acre farmhouse in Florida and were able to take her back. Then there was my cousins’ dog, I’ll call her D. I grew so attached to this dog while my dear cousin was in intensive cancer treatment after being diagnosed with stage 3 breast cancer. I was deeply saddened when her husband picked her up but what else could I do? This is NOT dog flipping! Yes, I’ve had a lot of dogs come through Camp Happy Hounds. Some I hoped I would keep forever and it didn’t work out. Sometimes no matter what I do—certain dogs are too much for me to handle. I’m a 65 year old female recovering from cancer myself. My rescues always get the most wonderful, caring homes. I take them myself, check references and vet histories. I left in tears. The manager was verbally abusive, extremely angry and told me not to come back under any circumstances. She called me a dog flipper and alluded to the fact that I’d brought too many dogs in. I’ve paid for daycare, they don’t operate a charity. I offered to pay for the evaluation. I’ve usually always purchased a nail grinding and bath when they get an evaluation because I did feel I should for fairness.. She reiterated that I was not welcome and my dog is not welcome. She implied she would have me arrested. It’s unbelievable. Cole is a sweet German Shepherd, I recently drove to Eastern NC to save him from imminent euthanization. The first one is Cole, next is Dolly (now a service in training for a disabled veteran who actually responded for the first time in 6 months), next is Dante, Dinah, Maisey and then Stella.
My girl absolutely loves coming here. Has a great time whether just for doggy day care or boarding.
We love CHH! Our dog goes occasionally for daycare and boarding, and we always feel very comfortable dropping him off - it’s clear the staff really care about the pups. Recently he stayed for 9 days, and we were nervous about leaving him so long - but it was clear he was very well taken care of, happy, and healthy. So thankful for a safe place we can leave him and not worry! Not to mention, our dog is a total homebody but he happily trots in whenever he goes here. :)
Best Place Ever for your fir babies. Winston can't wait to go to daycare and play. He loves everyone there. He is also very tired when he comes home and that's a good thing. Everyone there are so nice and you can tell how much they love each dog that comes there. We also board Winston and we know he is getting the best care. Thank you again for all you guys do for our loved ones. Happy Year Katherine and Jon Miller 💙🐾💙🐾 PS. We love the pictures you take throughout the day. It let's you know how much fun they are having. Keep them coming.💙🐾
It is very easy to set up an account. Drop off and pick up times were super easy and accommodating. Love the Facebook pictures of the pups for the days they are there. Makes me feel good that my dog is still having fun while I can't be there. Only downside... I had my dogs ears cropped, and they were heald just needed posting to help them stay up. They called us a day later and said they would need to remove the ear taping or he would have to be in his kennel. I read over the NC boarding regulation and the ones for the company, and NO, WHERE does it say ears can't be taped. I paid $40 the day before to get them posted and had to take my pup again when I picked him up for another $40 posting. Edit: The owner doesn't like people's options and canceled our account there and ban our dog from coming back because they didn't tell us about his ear being posted until he was already dropped off and we were out of the state. I saw this as an unforseen expense. Had they spoke up at the time of drop off, I wouldn't have said anything. It's poor management or training on their part.
This was Milo’s first time at any day care, no one outside of my parents have watched him for me so I was extremely nervous but the staff were so nice as soon as I entered. Not only was their sweet treatment immediately nerve calming, but I was able to stay a few minutes to make sure we all felt confident in him handling day care well. He did amazing and I got to see photos of him enjoying his time on Facebook. He is a high energy breed so I appreciate the all day play. We can’t wait to come back and I feel super confident in knowing we have a great place to board him in the future
Great boarding center, could take our pup last minute and she was TIRED when we picked her up, we’ll be back! Thanks to the staff for making everyone comfortable on our first pup boarding! excellent all around!
I have nothing but good things to say about this facility and the staff. My 1 year old shepherd loves the day care and when she is picked up she comes home actually tired. The staff is very personable and has love for all the dogs. The cage free environment and all dogs running around is such a plus. The pricing is another thing why I love it! Why spend $40 a day to watch your pup on a webcam play for maybe 2 hours out of the day somewhere else, when you can bring them here knowing they are having a blast all day in the huge field.
Our dog loves going to daycare at Big Red’s. The staff know and love her and it really helped her learn how to socialize with other dogs. Plus she really loves when the pool is open and staff always make sure she is dry by the time we need to pick her up.
My dogs stayed two nights. TWO. They have never been boarded and I’m so upset with their treatment. One of my babies paws are all burned! They told me when I picked them up they had been limping “probably from running so much” which is false. And my other dog now has a sore inbetween his toes and his whole paw is swollen from it. He has never had anything like this before and is almost 8 y/o. I’m so disappointed. Do not recommend. Also my boy dog has seperation anxiety and takes trazadone for it. When picking them up BOTH dogs are drugged up. My female dog does not take medication. She was falling asleep in our arms just walking to the car. Don’t trust this place. I included a pic of each of their paws. The burnt and the sore. Some of her burns were even bleeding. Also when you check online pickup times say 3-7pm. I went right at 3 and they charged me an extra $40 for not getting them this morning when their website specifically says pickup 3-7pm no morning times and they don’t answer the phone. I would have loved to get my dogs sooner. Terrible. UPDATE- my girl with burned paws still won’t walk it’s been two days. Her paws are scabbed from how burned they are and one of her toes is swollen 3x normal size. She is shaking in pain. Will have to call the vet tomorrow. And now my other dog is puking. DO NOT GO HERE. This is ridiculous!! My poor babies. My other dog is vomitting blood and has black stool since going. Had to go to the emergency vet. When trying to contact the owner about this treatment she denied even giving any medicine. When we counted the pills. There were 7 gone within a 2 night stay!! His dose was 1-2 pills in a 24 hour period. They WERE 100% drugged. They are lively dogs and were asleep in our arms when we picked them up, to the point it was if they were post-op. Was really hoping the owner would care enough about animals to acknowledge this mistreatment but ALSO lying saying they didn’t give them anything! And attacking us for reviewing saying we lied is ridiculous. Do better!!
We've been taking Anna, our Siberian Husky, to Big Reds since she was old enough to go. Now she's almost one. We LOVE Big Reds and our dog does too! She knows when she's going and can't wait to run to the door. So thankful for this place, the staff, and trust that we have with them. They do an excellent job taking lots of photos of the pups while there so you can check in and see all the fun they are having in the back yard. Anna goes to day camp and has been boarded there and we don't have one negative experience. In fact, our son had a medical emergency and required us to need care for Anna over the weekend and obviously last minute. They made magic happen and took excellent care of us in a time of great need. Thanks, Big Reds!
We are so thankful for a place like Big Red's Bed & Biscuit when we go out of town. It’s a relief to know our dog has a nice private sleeping place, has a huge yard and pool to play in, a cool place to play when it’s hot or rainy, and is loved and cared for big time! The daily pictures are a huge bonus!
I only go by when I have to pick up my sister's dog, Champ, but everytime I go it's always very clean and they have very friendly staff. Champ, along with all the other dogs I see leaving, always looks happy and always comes home clean and worn out from playing all day. You can tell Blair really has a passion for taking care of other people's dogs and it shows. There's hardly ever an open bed there since everyone loves this place. I've looked into it before for my own dog and their prices are very affordable and competitive with other places. If I ever needed to leave my dog somewhere for vacation or whatever else, this is where I'd leave them and wouldn't have a worry in the world with my choice.
I had boarded my boxer at PP Matthews for a few years and they were excellent. After she passed away, and some years passed, I started boarding my now 2 year old dog there, recently for a whole week. They are just as good now as they were then. They give your dog some time to get acclimated to the place with some one on one time which is great. I was able to watch her play on the cameras. She had a blast! Everyone there is very nice and caring. They put you at ease and assure you that your dog is in good hands. This is my place of choice for boarding then and still is now!
Our dog is always with us, as we work primarily remotely, so seeing her excited and eagerly go the techs when we rarely drop her off speaks volumes to how well she is treated. Upon picking her up, she is always well groomed, happy, and we are given a full briefing on how she behaved, what was done, highlights of her stay, and a full breakdown of the invoice. Awesome experience every time!
Love Pet Paradise Matthews! Our dog, Ginny, is particular on the types of dogs she will play with. The staff is so great at placing her in small groups with compatible personalities. I never worry about boarding her here like I did with other places, which is a huge relief.
My pups adore Jessica the groomer and she loves them, too. Always treats them like they were her own.
I’m giving 2 stars due to the past experiences being much better than my most recent! I have used Pet Paradise 4-5 times now since discovering them to let my dog go to “ doggy day camp “ which is what I pay for. The $40.00 day care option. The first two times he has come back and had a super upset stomach but seemed beyond happy and they told me he was so good and sweet etc. so we over looked that and continued to go. The last 2 times, I’m less than satisfied, on a Saturday the groomer was in lobby and put me on the spot to get him bathed adding more to the bill. And the most recent time I paid for a day of play, and they changed it to INDIVIDUAL without telling me and charging me more. No email no nothing. I’ve tried to contact and nothing. Now I’m questioning if every time l have paid for my dog to be in a crate alone, I’ve never seen him on the cameras either but I just tried to chalk that up to timing, now I am thinking otherwise. We planned to continue being customers but I’m unsure now, time to look into other alternatives now
This is my first time boarding my dog. Sarah has been so helpful and reassuring through this whole process. She really helped ease my mind. Every one there is so nice and knowledgeable.
Staff members are wonderful! They love my baby as much as I do and after 5 years of day camp, m-f, for 48 weeks out of the year, my pup is still excited to go inside every morning !
My dog went to Pet Paradise Lake Norman for years and loved it. We now live in Mint Hill so I've tried the one in Matthews. This place is a nasty dump! I have YET to see him on the Webcam inside or outside. He's not even tired when he gets home. I'm guessing they are crated all day since he's so full of energy when I pick him up. The place smells absolutely PUTRID! I, literally, gagged today while picking him up. I asked about play time and the girl said they played hard today. I know that's not true because we stopped by the dog park and he played for a solid hour nonstop. I know my dog! We aren't going back!
This was our first experience using a boarder (other than a 2-wk "training" camp). We loved being able to see how playful and loving the staff was with our Willow and how well Willow interacted with the other furbabies. The videos are so awesome because they allow for real -time views when we were missing our furbaby on vacation. We also looked forward to the pictures and report cards! Every encounter with any staff member was like talking to a friend who kept your furbaby instead of being "institutionalized" for lack of a better word. And affordability? That was SO VALUABLE to us. It's nice to know there is a safe, fun, place to go that allows the family to still be able to have money for other things, rather than costing half the amount of the entire vacation. Willow will be going back for visits!
We recently boarded our dogs at Pet Paradise Matthew’s and had a very disappointing experience. The management was terrible and clearly needs a lot more training to effectively deal with customers. Communication was poor, and they seemed uninterested in addressing my concerns. It's evident that the local and district management are not equipped to run this facility properly. I highly recommend using local boarding facilities instead of this national chain, as they are typically better managed and more attentive to both pets and their owners. I won't be returning to Pet Paradise.
