Annie sat for our cat, Tuna, over a long weekend. She was extremely kind and self-sufficient. When we arrived home, Tuna was relaxed and happy and our apartment was as clean and tidy as we had left it. Annie would be welcome to sit for us again any time, we'd highly recommend her.
I could not have asked for a better first experience with zeewoi! Jordan and Nataki were great at communicating from the very start, and they sent me pictures and updates every day. I didn’t have to worry for a moment that my cat Anya was feeling lonely because I could tell she warmed up right away, even though she’s usually quite shy! They also went above and beyond making sure my apartment was tidy for when I got home. So grateful and would definitely be honored for them to sit for me again any time!
Francesco has been taking care of my furry babies and my place while I'm away for well over a year now, and I couldn't appreciate him more. He is a joy to communicate with, and the most reliable person one could hope for. Being able to count on him while I'm traveling makes a world of difference, because I know I don't need to worry about anything while I'm away. Benny and Zumba love him and are very well taken care of. I know because I come home to two very relaxed and happy kitties. I am super grateful to have found Francesco!
Hannah and Joseph were so kind, so communicative, and clean! Kevin seemed so happy in all the photos they sent. Not only did they wash my sheets and towels they used (without my requesting it, simply out of the kindness of their hearts), they ALSO then put my fresh sheets on the bed! 🥹❤️ Such incredible sitters. 10 stars!
Misti was wonderful! She was able to come by before I left town to meet my dog, Grace, which I really appreciated. She sent daily pics or videos and made sure that Grace got tons of snuggle time, which is a major requirement to keep my dog happy :) Cats and skateboards are evil enemies to Grace and it sounds like Misti experienced both and handled it flawlessly! Misti was a great communicator, left everything tidy for me when I got home and Grace was super mellow and relaxed, which tells me she got all the care she needed while I was gone. I highly recommend Misti - I'll definitely be asking her to sit again!
Lilly and Thomas stayed at our house and cared for our dogs for a month. I think they took the dogs to the beach nearly every day. Seeing pictures of our dogs on the beach made our time away from them feel so much better. Our house was immaculate when we returned, and we felt so fortunate to have such kind and loving people step in for us in our absence. Anyone would be super lucky to have them in their home.
Gwynn was wonderful! She was super communicative, flexible to come to our house beforehand to get oriented, and attentive to details. She connected with our pup, Scout, immediately and we felt so assured that he would be well cared for with her. We hope Gwynn can come stay again another time!
I was thrilled to have Courtenay as our sitter. We had a few last minute changes and she was very accommodating. She is a very pleasant, well spoken person who bonded very quickly with our dog, Pepe. We were in Europe and Courtenay keep us we’ll informed via internet, pictures and all. We came home to a clean house, a happy pet and a delicious pie she left for us in the refrigerator. You would be very pleased to have her as your sitter. Lucy Hottle
Wendy was great, she kept us updated on the dogs and all the fun she had hiking with them on the mountain. I returned home to a very tidy house. My dogs just loved her. I will definitely have Wendy sit for me again and would be very lucky to have her do a sit for you.
Julian and Susan were amazing, we came home to happy healthy creatures and a clean, tidy home and yard. They communicated with us during our vacation, both about anything unusual and just to let us know when things were going well (as they were the majority of the time). They are very adaptable and capable people, I highly recommend them for your home and pet needs.

. We were absolutely delighted with the care Summer provided for our cats. Without a doubt, she is the best cat sitter we have ever had the pleasure of working with. Her attentiveness and genuine affection for our cats were evident in every interaction. Throughout our holidays, she kept us constantly updated with daily pictures and detailed updates, which gave us immense peace of mind. Additionally, she maintained our house in immaculate condition, keeping everything clean and tidy. This level of consideration and dedication went above and beyond our expectations, and we deeply appreciated her efforts. Summer’s exceptional service made our holiday experience truly worry-free and enjoyable.
I was fortunate to have Hillary return for a second sit. She took excellent care of both my cat and my home. She got on well with my neighbors and even allowed my friend to come visit Suley while she was there. I especially appreciate how flexible and accommodating she was regarding arrangements for a sitter who would be taking over for the second part of my very long absence. All in all, Hillary is a gem!
Chris and Julia were our very first sitters and are the most perfect house/pet sitters anyone would ever want!!! Julia sent video/pictures of our fur babies everyday and we noticed early on that our animals were very relaxed and happy!! This made our trip so enjoyable and stress free knowing that our animals were safe and being spoiled and loved the whole time. They even trained our dog to sit while her leash was being attached and was able to pet and hold our cat that is somewhat nervous around strange people he doesn't know. When I got back from the trip, the house was very clean along with Julia/Chris had washed the bed sheets, bath towels, vacuumed, dusted etc., and even washed the pet bedding. They also left some SE Asia treats for us to try which so sweet of them. Definitely the perfect house sitters!!!
This was the second time Cung sat for us and once again he was amazing! Cung was great with our cat, giving him lots of love and attention. Our cat was so comfortable he snuggled up with Cung frequently, which he doesn’t always do with strangers. We got daily updates and pictures. When we returned we could tell our cat was well taken care of. Cung was so organized and clean, as well. Our apartment was spotless when we returned. That’s always nice after coming home from vacation. You should definitely have Cung sit for you! One of the top sitters on this site.
Oh wow! Everyone should be so lucky to have Nicholas and Veerle watch their house and pets. These lovely people are pros! They communicated early and often, were super accommodating to some last minute changes (it was originally going to be only our cats to watch but we decided to keep the dog home as well so that added to the schedule and care needs) and they left the house spotless and all set up for another sitter who came in after them. We didn’t get the chance to meet because my departure and arrival times but I dearly hope I get to in the future because they were just great! I even heard how nice they were from My neighbors who say them out walking our dog. :-) They also sent regular pictures of the pets which look like pro-photography! Cannot recommend this couple enough! Your pets and house will be in good hands!
Heidi was an outstanding cat sitter for my Luna! She was very communicable via calls or texts. She followed all my guidelines for feeding and care of Luna. Luna was very content when I arrived home thanks to Heidi! My home was immaculate when I arrived and she did some snow shoveling. She even pulled a large broken tree branch off my roof following a windstorm. I hope Heidi is available for my next trip because she is awesome. Jim
Jose was a wonderful pet/house sitter for us recently. We highly recommend him. He was wonderfully reliable and responsible and took such good care of our two pets. On short notice Jose drove down from Grass Valley to the East Bay for a bit of a quiet get-away while working a really hard job teaching online. We know how hard that is firsthand and partly why we needed our own get-away for a last-minute backpacking trip. We have a recently rescued pit bull and a rescued cat that we're still introducing to each other to make sure the dog doesn't eat the cat (as he seems to want to), and the cat doesn't blind the dog (as she would if he tried to eat her). That might be more background than is needed in a review but Jose made us feel comfortable about everything because of how conscientious and responsible he clearly is. We could tell when we talked to him that he was genuinely kind and eminently trustworthy. We are very grateful and hope Jose was happy with everything too because we know what a value his care was to us. Jose truly deserves any and all house-sitting gigs that strike his interest. Ours was not the easiest and he was amazing. Get him if you can.
Pennee and Bill were the BEST pet sitters and guests ever! I really wanted them to stay forever ! Our cat, Miss Kitty bonded so much to them, that she really wasn’t that happy to see me when I got home .Our cat is a finicky eater and they tried all different types of food and treats for her. They sent me regular photos of miss kitty and I knew everything was great when most of the pics had miss kitty on their lap. Our cat doesn’t take to many people but she immediately fell in love with them. Pennee sent us our mail and prescription meds on a regular basis , and went out of her way to take care of any issues . They fell in love with the neighbors and community and just made our lives so easy . We experienced the Covid 19 virus outbreak quarantine during this time and Pennee and Bill agreed to stay a month longer at our home . They were extremely flexible with their travel plans so that everyone would be safe. Upon our arrival home, we were greeted with a bouquet of flowers , beautiful hanging basket of flowers for outdoors and a beautiful bottle of wine . And our house had never been cleaner ! Bill and Pennee are a pet owners dream couple !I felt extremely lucky to have found such a great petsitter and new friend . We will be visiting each other in the future .
Super nice sitters and extremely flexible. Really enjoyed their company and I only regret that I was too frazzled to chat with them more and get to know them! Kept the house super clean, pets loved them. Dog especially. Had a little problem with my new kitten not meshing well with the older cats (which was not too surprising since cats can be territorial). Pennee was very patient and gave me constant updates and tips. And the older cat was much more calm when I came home. Highly recommend and welcome back anytime!
Kristi was an exceptional house / pet sitter and we appreciate her being so flexible as were not sure how long our vacation was going to be. She was prompt, courteous, and even drove up the weekend before to meet with us. She took great care of our house and our dog snd cats loved her. I would highly recommended her.
Is it better to board cats or leave at home?
Veterinarians advising to leave cats at home with a pet sitter who will stay overnight in your home, boarding is not recommended for cats as they are stressed in a new environment, you can find a sitter who will care for your cats and home overnight at Sittsy.
How much should you pay someone to watch your cat?
At least $ per visit, $15/week per overnight watching in your home, otherwise you can find a free sitter at Sittsy.
What do people do with their cats when they go on vacation?
Inviting a cat sitter to your home, boarding the cat with a local business, asking a friend, family or neighbour to feed and check the well-being. The most efficient way to leave your cat during your vacation is with Sittsy cat sitters overnight, in this way, you will save cat sitting costs and make vacation not only for you but also for your cat sitter!
Not only do we board our fur babies at Lucky Puppy, but they also attend doggy daycare every week. Brenda and her crew are amazing, and it is easy to see their passion for all the daycare kids they care for. We wouldn't trust anyone else with our fur kids!!
Love love love lucky puppy almost as much as my dog Sadie does! Sadie has been going there for years to board whenever I go out of town and can't take her with me. As soon as she smells that country air as we approach the driveway her head perks up and her tail starts wagging. Brenda and her staff are the best!
We are new to the Lucky Puppy family and just started taking our 8-month-old, Millie, to daycare twice a week. She loves it and we love it too. She comes home happy and exhausted from all the playtime with friends (the picture is from her first daycare pickup). Every morning she asks if it is a Lucky Puppy Day? The Lucky Puppy team is wonderful and keeps us updated on her progress there. We loved the welcome on social media Millie got for her first day and the email postcards the team sent of her having fun. We are excited for Millie to have her first overnight at Lucky Puppy later this month, as it is truly her home away from home. Highly Recommend!
July 16, 2024 - Oski came home this morning from another awesome boarding stay (7 days) at Lucky Puppy. She regularly attends daycare and boards occasionally when we are out of town. She always seems very happy with her canine friends there and comes home happy and healthy! Thank you Lucky Puppy Team!
Both of my dogs went thru the Star Puppy Program thru Lucky Puppy and they also go to daycare there 3 times a week! The puppy program was great for teaching them basic commands such as Sit, Stay, Down, Come, Leave It, Heel, Touch, along with working with distractions. There was also good advice on unwanted behaviors such as chewing, jumping, digging and advice on good dog food. I am excited for the next set of classes to start up! As for the doggy daycare itself, my dogs have a blast! They come home tired and sleep almost an entire day and then they go back off to daycare to get worn out again! I get "postcards" emailed to me with pictures of my dogs having fun with their other dog friends - whether they are playing chase, jumping in the pool, chewing on sticks, running in the rain, or romping thru a giant mud puddle! They come home a little dirty sometimes, but the staff always try to rinse them off before going home - I find it to be a sign that they had a super fun day! Calista and Xanthe give two Paws up for a great time (and lots of stick chewing!) every time they come! All in all I would 100% recommend both the training and the daycare at Lucky Puppy!
There is no place anywhere like Lucky Puppy! He is outside all day playing with his buddies and in there house in the evening. A perfect second home for my puppy😊❤️ …
I sent my puppy, Stanley, to the 3 week board and train program at Lucky Puppy. I was immediately impressed with the facility and professionalism. They truly put the dog's best interests forward. I knew my baby was gong to be in the best of care! I was missing him so much and was e-mailed "post cards" with pictures of him having the best time! When I picked him up I noticed such a positive difference in him. They showed him so much love and care that I just knew I had to send him back for daycare! (We already scheduled him for next week!). I would give ten stars if I could! Two paws up from Stan Man.
I started StarPuppy at Lucky Puppy after having taken a basic manners class with my puppy elsewhere. At 8 months, my puppy understood those basic commands but most of the time she was ignoring me. StarPuppy bridged the gap. Brenda taught me how to cultivate my puppy’s respect through my tone, body language, expectations and rewards. In class we got lots of one on one time and each owner was given specific techniques personalized to their dog. During playtime, Brenda gave consequences and redirection to rough play that the pups understood and responded to. We learned preventative solutions to problem behaviors like jumping and chewing that just worked. At home, we saw HUGE changes to our pup almost immediately. One morning as I let my puppy out into my yard I noticed a skunk scurrying down my driveway. I watched my entire day flash before my eyes, my first thought, “I’m going to have to call off work”. I couldn’t believe that when I called my puppy (my puppy who LOVES to chase) that SHE CAME!?!!!! StarPuppy is worth well beyond the price of the course! I also use daycare services as well and couldn’t be happier with them. Brenda sends me high quality photos of my pup having a blast weekly. Can’t recommend this business enough.
My labradors have been coming to Lucky Puppy for 14 years. They come once a week usually. We also board. It MAKES their week. Swimming, being around their own kind, etc just makes them joyful. And then they sleeeeep!🙂. Thank you to Brenda and her great staff.
Words alone do not justify the amount of value and peace of mind Lucky Puppy has brought to my family. Our dog, Calyx, used to spend the better part of his days during the week at our house, alone, waiting for us to come home. Unfortunately, typically by the time we returned to him we were tired from a long days work and not in a mood to get out and play with him. We considered daycare for some time, however were unable to find a care provider that we could trust our beloved fur baby with. I expanded to more remote locations, and that's when I came across Lucky Puppy... Their website was great, lots of amenities and services offered for the dogs. The aspect that sold me almost instantly was their Cage-Free philosophy, the freedom to roam and play free of confined spaces was an awesome thought. After a couple weeks of back-and-forth communication with Lucky Puppy, we showed up with our dog for his orientation. I was a bit apprehensive at first, but the staff that manage this business are VERY well trained and disciplined in their methods of handling dogs. We took a quick tour of the grounds and were very satisfied with the arrangements they had in place. The next week, we started bringing Calyx for 3-Days a week (Mon-Wed-Fri) while we are at work from approximately 7:30AM - 5:00PM. He has never been so mellow and relaxed while at home! Being able to play with the pack all day at Lucky Puppy has put him in a much better physical and mental health from what we can tell. His veterinarian also noticed how much more lean and muscular he was after a couple months of daycare. When the time came to go on vacation, Lucky Puppy was there for us and took in Calyx for a total of 10 Days while we went on a cruise in the Caribbean. In previous years, we left him with family/friends while away. When staying at friends/family they often preferred crating him to reduce risk. Crating is not part of his normal routine, so this added additional stress on-top of already being separated from us for a length of time. Lucky Puppy is 100% cage free, and he was able to roam about the house to find a spot he was most comfortable to sleep in, just like he does when he's at home with us. Good luck finding another daycare/boarding facility of this caliber with that kind of freedom and luxury... Keeping our dog with friends/family typically left us with a sense of worry and doubt, as we were not certain as to how well he was being treated. Knowing that the staff at lucky puppy are well trained in how to properly take care of our dog helped put our minds at ease, and I can say with confidence that we did not worry for a moment during the length of this last 10 Day trip. Every aspect of our experience so far with Lucky Puppy has been AWESOME, and I look forward to continuing services for our dog and any future dogs with Lucky Puppy for the foreseeable future!
Paws ‘n Pads is the best doggy daycare in Ypsi!! I have been bringing my dog Koda there for 3 years for both daycare and boarding since he was just 16 weeks old! Being a GSD, Koda has so much energy and PnP has been a God send for us. No other doggy daycare we’ve tried has ever been as accommodating as them. When my mother-in-law suddenly passed away they were so gracious in boarding Koda last minute. As a nurse who works 12 hour shifts and weekends, it can be difficult to find a daycare that opens early enough and closes late enough to accommodate my schedule. PnP has always been incredible at flexing around my schedule if I need to drop him off a little early on weekends. Not to mention their staff is INCREDIBLE! All the girls are so sweet and lovely and I can tell they genuinely love the dogs they care for. Not only does Koda recognize the street that PnP is on and gets so excited to run inside and give the girls kisses but they seem equally as excited to see him. They are so patient with Koda and his kangaroo jumps and big slobbery kisses. I have no qualms about trusting them with Koda’s care. I think, as with anything in life, expectations need to be managed for what to expect from ANY doggy daycare. Dogs are dogs and they will sometimes play rough and get slobbery and be…well, dogs! There are several reviews commenting on the “inconvenience” of having to bathe their dogs after daycare and claiming they smell of urine. Koda has never, ever smelled like urine. He can be sticky from slobbery play sometimes but that just tells me he had a good day playing with his friends! I would never expect PnP to wash and groom my dog for me without paying for that service. For the people who want to complain about providing their pet basic hygiene, maybe doggy daycares and pet ownership aren’t for you.
I want to update my past experience at PNP over the past 6 years with my two pups. I appreciate the family atmosphere and ownership of PNP. However, I have noticed things slipping over the past couple years. My first dog Blue loved going there even though he had a lot of anxiety issues from his past (rescue pup). However, I did notice when I would pick him up Blue would smell of urine. I have also noticed the same issue with other husky Loki. The issues started adding up to the point where I no longer take Loki to PNP. Loki came home with Kennel cough after a short boarding stay. Then his next two stays Loki came home limping. I learned from an employee that Loki spent the entire night trying to escape from his kennel and injured himself in the process. Luckily his limp was a soft tissue injury and it healed itself. Loki would come home with minor scrapes which was attributed to rough play (fair enough for a husky) and one time he tried to befriend one of the foster cats in the lobby. I was always contacted by them when this occurred. I also noticed Loki starting to get nervous when and refuse to enter PNP. Clearly Loki was telling me something. He is never nervous or anxious about anything. The final straw for me was when I was bringing Loki for daycare and nobody was in the building! It was an hour after their posted opening. There was about five other cars in the parking lot and we were all trying to reach the owner, Penny. It took all five of us calling and sending Facebook messages for 30 minutes to reach someone. Since that incident, I have been taking Loki to Pup City Daycare. Their owner has education and training in dog behavior. They also ensure dogs are placed in play groups based on a dog’s personality. The webcams at their business ensure there is transparency at what occurs while your pup is in their care. Some recommendations for improvements. -install webcams that allow your customers to check in on their pups. This will increase transparency -Hire enough staff to lower the dog:staff ratio. Also ensure your staff is trained in animal behavior and group behavior. -Use dog safe cleaning products. Bleach should never be used. It is not safe for dogs and will cause chemical burns. I want to support PNP but I no long in good conscience support them. I feel bad because they were the first daycare that took care of my pups.
Hit or miss. Sometimes its great no issues and occasionally there will be some small stuff like dogs feeling low energy or very thirsty when we take them home. We left a toy for our dog this past time as we were told it's allowed when he doesnt board/mingle with the big group but on pick up we could see it clearly wasn't given to him. They're definitely reliable and helpful though. Often will have space for the boarding. Even picked up food for our dogs since our bag ran out. I do like the fb page photos and getting to see all the dogs there that day.
Would go lower if I could. This place not only has the audacity to call deep wounds and smelling of pee normal but seems to brush that type of behavior under the rug.. Could amount to animal abuse in my own opinion.
Love this place!! My dog hope loves it! The employees are very sweet and kind! Highly recommend. Attached is my dog at the daycare :)
I do not recommend this place. Staff is friendly but they do not take proper care of dogs. I took my dog henry there a few times and every time he has come back smelling like pee and covered in pee. I always have to give him a bath after because his fur is sticky and he smells terrible. Truly don’t recommend.
No place if rather take my dog. Staff is fantastic and caring. Place is clean, they even help the community by fostering animals!
Dropped our blind dog off for some R&R after hiking in very hot and humid conditions several days. She rested in air conditioning with just the right amount of social interaction. Staff was professional and friendly. It was a brief but very positive experience for our dog. Thank you Paws'n Pads!
My dogs absolutely love it here! They have the best time and I wouldn't trust my dogs with anyone else!
Great place with a wonderful caring staff. I love the daily pics. And the fact they partner with a rescue is just wonderful!
