Pares is an experienced and quality sitter and we knew our cat Juniper (and a few plants) was well cared for. We received regular updates and photos which was really nice to have during our travels. While we missed Juniper, we could see that she enjoyed receiving cuddles and attention from Pares. Upon returning home, our flat was clean and tidy, and Juniper was very happy! Thank you for taking care of her!

There are not enough words in the English language to express my deepest gratitude to Teresa and all the amazing love and care she showed my sweet cat Milo. From the moment she met Milo, I knew there was going to be a very special bond. He instantly relaxed when he first met and already looked so happy and at peace with her. The bond between the two of them only seemed to get stronger and stronger with every day that I was away. This two-week trip was so important for me as it was the first real "vacation" I had taken in a few years. I was in desperate need of a mental and physical break and knew that in order to have a true "time off', I needed to feel completely at peace with Milo being well-taken care of. Well my prayers were answered as Teresa was the "cat whisperer" I was hoping for. I could not have asked for a better, more compassionate, self-reliant, and intuitive sitter ! Teresa was also so diligent in sending me her daily picture and video updates of my cat. With every picture and video I saw, I knew that Milo was so happy being with her and I never worried for one minute while I was away. What a gift ! Teresa was also a serious life-saver for me as literally an hour before I was leaving for my trip, I found out my cat's tracker app was not working and after a few emails and phone calls, we found out the tracker's server was down. Teresa took the initiative to follow up with getting the tracker to work again which was a HUGE stress-relief for me . She is not only wonderfully savvy with animals but also with technology as well ! I feel so fortunate to have Teresa in my life now, not only as an amazing sitter for Milo but also as a wonderful friend for life! Thank you, Teresa for everything.... Kimberly was a wonderful sitter who watched our two cats for us while we were out. She was willing to come a day early to help acclimate herself with the animals, and this was exceedingly helpful in making sure the cats would be comfortable with her during our absence. Jenima is an excellent sitter! She is organized, communicative and flexible throughout the stay. We needed a sitter at the last minute because Jazz got sick, and Jenima saved us. We left a little worried about him, but Jenima took care of him really well and kept us informed. Cats love her! We definitely recommend her to take care of your pets!

Danny and Jo did a great job caring for our 3 cats and fish AND lots of plants (and home of course) while we were out of town for 3 weeks. We came back to a very clean house, sheets, and towels all clean and folded and fresh sheets on the bed they were using. The plants were all alive too, which is a first for us (again, we have a lot of plants!). The cats were happy to see us and they were all accounted for (a past sitter lost a cat for a week - they escaped outside as a non-outside cat). Everything was in its place and looked great. We received regular updates (via text) with photos of the cats lounging about which was important for us. Danny asked good questions when they visited us before the sit, and when reviewing our pet/house sitting instructions. The only thing we noticed that was different was that our 2 young cats were a little lighter (not necessarily a bad thing) but we understand that being gone for that length of time can be stressful on our furry family, which almost always affects their eating habits. All in all, we would definitely have them again!

Heidi was an outstanding cat sitter for my Luna! She was very communicable via calls or texts. She followed all my guidelines for feeding and care of Luna. Luna was very content when I arrived home thanks to Heidi! My home was immaculate when I arrived and she did some snow shoveling. We couldn't have asked for better sitters than Pares and Mark. Since our initial contact, it was straightforward to communicate with Pares. We were lucky enough to get a chance to meet Pares with our dog Luna, and Luna got along with her immediately. During our time away from home, she kept us informed about how both our dog and cat were doing, and they were both cuddling with her since the first day. We got a lot of pictures and knew that they were safe and happy. The apartment was exactly as we had left it when we came back. Pares and Mark even ran the dishwasher and the washing machine for us. We couldn't have asked for a better sitter, and it made our trip very easy knowing they were taken care of so well. We'd have Pares and Mark back to our home without any hesitation.

My husband and I reached out to Toby & Chloe after reading their profile and impressive reviews only a week before our trip, since our scheduled sitter had to cancel at the last moment. They were very friendly and quick to respond to chat from the very beginning, and ended up exceeding our expectations during their two week stay. It was evident they had thoroughly read our Welcome Guide beforehand, as they arrived knowledgeable and prepared to care for our home and pets. They were very willing and happy to take the necessary time with us to walk through the house and meet our cats, as we got them acclimated with our daily routines and answered any questions. Shortly after we left, our city had a heat wave come through, and after immediately notifying us, Toby went beyond the call of duty and inspected our struggling AC unit to pinpoint the issue. As far as cat care is concerned, we have two seniors (who have more sensitive tummies) that can get irritated after a fur ball or swallowing anything out of the ordinary. When this occurred, Toby & Chloe stepped in and took wonderful care of our cat duo; softening their food and even cradling while hand-feeding them for extra comfort. We truly could not have asked for more affectionate and responsible sitters. We returned to a spotlessly clean home, happy cats, and well maintained plants and pool. (They even cleaned our dusty Kitchen pendant lighting, which requires a steady hand and is definitely a time-commitment …We felt like professional housecleaners had been there!) On our way back, Toby & Chloe stayed in communication with us to monitor our arrival time, allowing them to care for our cats until just before we got home. Overall, they are very reliable and trustworthy sitters whose genuine goal is to provide a top-quality sit, while maintaining your household and seamlessly transitioning to your pets daily schedule.

Kristine was wonderful again as our local sitter from just down the street. The boys take to her like she is their best friend whenever she comes to sit with them. She sent us photos of them playing, relaxing, drinking water and eating so we knew they were well taken care of. The house and the cats were in excellent shape and excellent hands while we were away. This place was Tremendous!!!! They took great care of our kittycat, Matchka who was fighting mammary gland cancer. The woman who was running things was an Angel and let us visit her every morning. Matchka hissed at her & everyone else but this amazing woman lived Matchka regardless and took extra special care of her. I would recommend this place to everyone. Matchka had a better view than we did at our resort because she had a gorgeous view of Lake Michigan out her gigantic window.
The ownership and staff is so friendly and the best part is my dogs love to be boarded here! My dogs literally pull me into the facility at drop off.

They take great care of your pet. They love our pup and he is always in great shape when we pick him up. They do very well with pets who need medication and a little extra TLC. He loves this place!
Staff here are wonderful with the animals and spend a bit of time with each pet that is staying at their resort. The layout of the facility is great, insofar as when a cat comes in for a stay, s/he doesn't have to be taken past any barking dogs to get to her/his boarding area and vice versa. My cat was a guest here for about a week and I had an opportunity to go in to visit with her. The cat room was quiet and peaceful and the spaces were large and luxurious.
Easy to spot off of the highway. Plenty of parking and the owners do a very good job of keep spots open and snow and ice plowing in the winter. There are some very lively birds when you enter, as well as a few different knick-knacks to buy. Reasonable prices on these, but their bathing prices cannot be beat. My dog is always clean and fresh and a ton of hair removed from him. They send him off in a handsome little bandana and we keep coming back! I highly recommend this place! Very friendly staff and their work is wonderful!
I go to Walmart every 2 weeks. With the remodeling it has been talking a little longer. Hopefully they will be done soon. Then we will get more used to it.

Good place to board when going out of town for a few days. They are comfortable boarding Birds as well as cats and dogs, so that was a big plus for me. Right across the parking lot is a veterinarian's office so if you had an emergency there you'd be in luck.
What I like about this place is that my dog loves it. When I leave him it makes me feel better that I know he's in a great spot with people who really enjoy him. It seems to be more than just a job with all the people here and it shows.

We have been taking our bear to wags and purrs since he was a puppy… 4 years now and he is always happy when he has a fresh haircut! The owner treats him well, gets us in everytime and her work is amazing! Highly recommended groomers!
I took my Golden Doodle in for a much needed haircut. I was very impressed with their job on her. She looked totally different but happy. We will take her back when she is ready for her next trim. Thank you very much.
Sometimes you I'll get a recording when you call. I just drove over with my pups for a last minute nail trim when I had time off and was able to walk in on a Tuesday. They will also schedule nail trims on Saturday. Very nice folks.

My experience is always excellent. Always try to work you in if possible. My dog Sasha is never afraid to go, they are so gentle with her. She is a tea cup Yorkie with a bad hip. I live in Alpena and drive to Petoskey to have her groomed and they are worth the drive to take her there.
We can't thank them enough for always taking great care of our dog's (and of course, us). We get our dog's hair and nails trimmed and they come out looking great everytime. Always on time, always great service and would highly recommend.
I looked at a lot of reviews, but wags and purrs had the best reviews. My pooches looked and I'm sure felt better. I told her about the special needs of my elder pups. She took great care and my pups are very happy now. Thank you so much. I definitely will be back.

We took our dogs to Kennel 31’s Doggie daycare for the first time about a month or so ago, since that day we have taken our Border Collie/Spaniel/Mix Wrigley back at least 10-15 times and it has been an awesome experience every single time. As you can see from the pictures Wrigley absolutely loves going to day care to run and play with all his friends, and when he gets home he can barely keep his eyes open long enough to make it onto the couch! They truly take great care of all the dogs during their stay, and you can tell by the constant level of interaction and the connections they make with these dogs that Jan, Dan and Tom are people that love what they do and they do it better than anyone I’ve ever met! The indoor facility is kept very clean and well maintained, and the outdoor area is setup for the ultimate play time experience! The day care rates are extremely fair for a full day (8am - 5pm) service, and as long as you try to schedule a few days or a week in advance they are usually able to make accommodations for your furry friends. Thank you Jan, Dan, and Tom once again for all you do and Wrigley cannot wait to see you guys again real soon!

I am writing on behalf of my husband, James. There are not enough stars in the Northern Michigan sky for Kennel 31! When James experienced a sudden medical emergency I needed to find care for our beloved vizsla. Not only did Kennel 31 accommodate my request as a new client but the experience for our dog was outstanding! The kind owners even provided photos of our boy enjoying a safe happy off leash excercise experience. It was clear when I picked him up that he thoroughly enjoyed his stay and that they provided loving, competent care in return. Highly recommend.
Everytime we vacation Up North, we make sure our dog, Dash gets a vacation, too! He spends many of his days at Kennel 31 playing with other dogs during the day. Tom and Janice are fantastic and ensure that all the dogs there are grouped together appropriately for the ultimate doggie daycare experience! We highly recommend Kennel31! 5 starts are not enough!
An out-of-date kennel stuck in the ignorance of the pit bull aggression myth. I bet their kids aren't vaccinated either because that would cause autism... Any kennel that refuses to do a simple meet and greet due to dog breed is 100% unprofessional, unreliable, and proving themselves to be incapable of handling emergency situations (including aggressive play) that happens between dogs of any breed. I wouldn't trust my dog to them even if they let her in 🤷♀️
My 90 pound ball of energy lab, Nicholas, had an incredible time at Kennel 31. It’s an amazing facility and any pup would be lucky to visit there, whether it’s for daycare or overnight. Anytime we are up North we will be stopping by. Nick can’t wait to come back and play with Duke and friends!
Oliver our 7 year old Pomeranian has a home away from home at Kennel 31! He stayed for 23 days this summer and we felt so comforted that he was in good hands.
