Annie sat for our cat, Tuna, over a long weekend. She was extremely kind and self-sufficient. When we arrived home, Tuna was relaxed and happy and our apartment was as clean and tidy as we had left it. Annie would be welcome to sit for us again any time, we'd highly recommend her.
I could not have asked for a better first experience with zeewoi! Jordan and Nataki were great at communicating from the very start, and they sent me pictures and updates every day. I didn’t have to worry for a moment that my cat Anya was feeling lonely because I could tell she warmed up right away, even though she’s usually quite shy! They also went above and beyond making sure my apartment was tidy for when I got home. So grateful and would definitely be honored for them to sit for me again any time!
Francesco has been taking care of my furry babies and my place while I'm away for well over a year now, and I couldn't appreciate him more. He is a joy to communicate with, and the most reliable person one could hope for. Being able to count on him while I'm traveling makes a world of difference, because I know I don't need to worry about anything while I'm away. Benny and Zumba love him and are very well taken care of. I know because I come home to two very relaxed and happy kitties. I am super grateful to have found Francesco!
Hannah and Joseph were so kind, so communicative, and clean! Kevin seemed so happy in all the photos they sent. Not only did they wash my sheets and towels they used (without my requesting it, simply out of the kindness of their hearts), they ALSO then put my fresh sheets on the bed! 🥹❤️ Such incredible sitters. 10 stars!
Misti was wonderful! She was able to come by before I left town to meet my dog, Grace, which I really appreciated. She sent daily pics or videos and made sure that Grace got tons of snuggle time, which is a major requirement to keep my dog happy :) Cats and skateboards are evil enemies to Grace and it sounds like Misti experienced both and handled it flawlessly! Misti was a great communicator, left everything tidy for me when I got home and Grace was super mellow and relaxed, which tells me she got all the care she needed while I was gone. I highly recommend Misti - I'll definitely be asking her to sit again!
Lilly and Thomas stayed at our house and cared for our dogs for a month. I think they took the dogs to the beach nearly every day. Seeing pictures of our dogs on the beach made our time away from them feel so much better. Our house was immaculate when we returned, and we felt so fortunate to have such kind and loving people step in for us in our absence. Anyone would be super lucky to have them in their home.
Gwynn was wonderful! She was super communicative, flexible to come to our house beforehand to get oriented, and attentive to details. She connected with our pup, Scout, immediately and we felt so assured that he would be well cared for with her. We hope Gwynn can come stay again another time!
I was thrilled to have Courtenay as our sitter. We had a few last minute changes and she was very accommodating. She is a very pleasant, well spoken person who bonded very quickly with our dog, Pepe. We were in Europe and Courtenay keep us we’ll informed via internet, pictures and all. We came home to a clean house, a happy pet and a delicious pie she left for us in the refrigerator. You would be very pleased to have her as your sitter. Lucy Hottle
Wendy was great, she kept us updated on the dogs and all the fun she had hiking with them on the mountain. I returned home to a very tidy house. My dogs just loved her. I will definitely have Wendy sit for me again and would be very lucky to have her do a sit for you.
Julian and Susan were amazing, we came home to happy healthy creatures and a clean, tidy home and yard. They communicated with us during our vacation, both about anything unusual and just to let us know when things were going well (as they were the majority of the time). They are very adaptable and capable people, I highly recommend them for your home and pet needs.

Cung was a wonderful cat sitter and housesitter and we would happily invite him back again. He was excellent with our cats and sent plenty of photos, and also left the house impeccably clean. We had to come back a day early and so we got to spend some time with him which we enjoyed as well. 10 out of 10 recommend!
We were very lucky to have had Nia for our recent house sit. She communicated well before the sit and arrived as planned. We shared a meal before we left which gave us time to get to know her and tell her about the house and our pets. After we left it soon became clear the cats loved Nia and the attention she gave them. We were kept informed throughout her stay with regular updates and video clips of what they were up to and how the garden was growing etc. We highly recommend Nia as a pet/house sitter and we would certainly have her back should the opportunity arise. Thanks again Nia
I am struggling with naming our top adjective to describe Michael and Jeanne. "Conscientious" will likely be it but then again, "personable," "reliable," "organised," and "animal-loving" are top contenders. If you are reading this review and contemplating inviting this couple to watch your pets, then look no further. We have had a number of excellent house sitters but this pair was next level in terms of the love they showed our cats, Maxx and Nala. When we came back, we could our animals already missed them. These cats, who have never slept with anyone other than us, were getting in bed with them each night -- and that meant climbing stairs! The day before our trip, Nala got an ear infection and had to be put on steroids for asthma. Michael and Jeanne did not sign up for that when the sit was booked but they took it in stride. In the last-minute rush, I relayed that Nala needed her oral steroids morning and night. Michael read the RX label, indicating one dose a day, and contacted the vet to clarify. So you can see why "conscientious" is right up there. They saved Nala from an overdose! We were gone three weeks and they sent us just the right amount of pictures and videos. They bought cat toys (I forgot to put ours out!) and actively engaged with them, including 20-minute massages for Maxx. I truly believed them when they said they fell in love with our fur babies. The house was spotless (which was not important to me but truly appreciated) but I smiled when all six water stations in our yard were filled. They took seriously my love for and the needs of the wildlife in our yard. Our plants were all in good condition as well. Sensing they were "next level" when I met them, I predicted they would want to leave a meal for us upon our return. I asked them not to but they found another way to bow out with class. They made a donation to a nonprofit I work with instead. This I learned from the lovely thank you note they left. I hope they will consider Charles and I friends because we certainly feel that way about them now. What special people. If you book them, treat them well because they are going to do that for you for sure.
Kathy and Ron have sat for us several times in the past and have always been excellent. They are our "go-to" pet and house sitters and we always check their availability before we post a sit. They are trustworthy, organized, communicate very well, and take great care of our cats and our house. We hope they will continue pet sitting for many years to come!
Catherine was wonderful! She took care of my cat and house while I was out of town and left and Jack the Cat very and calm and the house in perfect shape which I so appreciate. I could return home and attend to other things rather than cleaning house. I would recommend her as a sitter to anyone. She was easy to communicate with, provided updates and pics of Jack, willing to jump in and assist me as I left or returned. She has a sweet and warm personality and enjoys what she does with house sitting. Thank you Catherine!
Wow! Just wow! We cannot say enough about the care and compassion Trisha and John provided to our cats and our home. We are always somewhat nervous about a new pet sitter in our home, but that all faded when we met this wonderful couple. They provided daily updates as requested, complete with pictures, videos and personalized captions. Upon our return, we were greeted by happy and content kitties. There was no sign of anxiety in Tika! Yea!!! Our home was clean, the sheets and towels were washed and bed remade! They even left behind thank you notes and little gifts! What a breath of fresh air these two individuals are! We hope to have them back again soon.
Wow, what a find Justin is! I feel as though I won a lottery. As I was revelling in the communication we were having during his stay, I looked over his profile and realized either that he had updated it during his stay OR I never even read it. I was so impressed with his initial application that described multiple stays taking care of cats in Turkey that I knew he was going to be a great choice. So I'm not sure that I even read his profile or reviews. Turned out...he was more than I could have EVER hoped for. Justin is VERY organized and clear with his communication. Just as--or maybe more--important, he is a poster child for what zeewoi can be: more than just an economical way to get a pet sitter or a place to stay. Justin embraces the barter economy and the opportunity it presents to get to know people. Although we only met the day that I turned the house and my 2 cats over to his care, we had delightful communication throughout his stay. He wanted to be sure he was providing the right care to all living and non-living elements of my home as well as just chat beyond what we'd had an opportunity to cover when we were face to face on the handoff day. Bottom line: I'd have Justin back even if I wasn't going anywhere! I've met a friend. And my neighbors did as well! Oh yes, and my two cats were well looked after, the house was in ship shape, and Justin was able to brief the next sitter in person (I'd had to extend my time away and Justin already had another commitment). To say I felt confident leaving my pets and home in Justin's care is an understatement. Justin is a real adventurer and believer in the power of both human and animal connection. Without a doubt, I would recommend him as a sitter...and a friend! Thank you, Justin for a great example of how to wrestle so much more meaning out of zeewoi.
Kathy and Ron arrived at our home with a most fantastical toy for our cats and a giant apple pie. Need I say more? They are very experienced sitters and brought personal items that they prefer. We knew we were leaving out cats in good hands. A large part of their 'job' was hand watering our garden and Ron took that in stride. Everything is thriving. Our cats are usually distant with new people but we received photos of them keeping Kathy and Ron company in various situations which was reassuring. They clearly won our cats over. Although Ron and Kathy had a ferry to catch on their last day, they took time to wash their linens and hang them on the clothesline. They also left us a gorgeous plant for our garden. We would very much like to have them back for a longer sit if possible.
Jenny was an absolute delight, lovely to speak to and patient with last minute changes. I have had bad experiences with trusting people with my cats before so was really anxious as Jenny is the first house sitter I have used from zeewoi. But, I felt at ease as soon as I spoke to her, she has a lovely manner and she came round the day before the sit to male sure she had every detail right. But I think the thing that helped the most was her regular updates about my cats. I could see from the videos she sent they were given lots of love and attention. My cats don't usually play with people but my little girl seemed to love her! My flat was immaculate when I got back as well, I am so grateful to Jenny for all her help and really hope to have her sit for me again!
Rick and Sally are marvelous cat sitters and we would gladly have them back anytime. We highly recommend them to any and all pet owners. They arrived when they said they would and were ready to go when we returned, making sure our cats were present before departing. Our home was left spotless, undoubtedly better than we left it for them. We can't urge you enough to engage them if you can!
Is it better to board cats or leave at home?
Veterinarians advising to leave cats at home with a pet sitter who will stay overnight in your home, boarding is not recommended for cats as they are stressed in a new environment, you can find a sitter who will care for your cats and home overnight at Sittsy.
How much should you pay someone to watch your cat?
At least $20 per visit, $10/week per overnight watching in your home, otherwise you can find a free sitter at Sittsy.
What do people do with their cats when they go on vacation?
Inviting a cat sitter to your home, boarding the cat with a local business, asking a friend, family or neighbour to feed and check the well-being. The most efficient way to leave your cat during your vacation is with Sittsy cat sitters overnight, in this way, you will save cat sitting costs and make vacation not only for you but also for your cat sitter!
I was a bit scared to leave my "velcro" dog with someone else....but since we moved away from the kids.....we had to use Lisa's Bed and Biscuit... Our first choice doesn't return phone calls or emails anymore....so we were stuck and our trip was coming up... Fortunately Lisa's came through for us.....and I think our craigs list Tea cup Chihuahua that weighs 50 lbs....I think she grew up a bit
Don't waste your time with this place, went a month ago for a pre visit with my dog, The lady approved the stay we just went to drop him off the night before we leave for vacation and she denies him. Guess ill see you in court someone is paying for this non refundable vacation and it’s not me.
She charged us for 3 days when we dropped our dog off at 7 pm Friday and picked up a 6 on Sunday. Very hard to get in contact of would not recommend!
Great experience with Lisa’s Bed & Biscuit. Left my dog there while out of town for the weekend. He usually comes home stressed from boarding but he seemed right at home at Lisa’s. Will be using again and would recommend to others!
We recently boarded our 15 year old pit bull with vestibular disease with Lisa. Initially, he was going to come with us, but we realized the ride to the Keys was just going to be too much for him. We met Lisa and her employee that I cannot remember the name of. I see some reviews on here say Lisa is rude, and I disagree. From my years of experience with digs, true dog people are a different kind of people. The impression that I was left with was that she (and her staff member) would take great care of my dog and loves dogs. Initially, Sammy was boarded in the kennel behind her house with another senior dog. Honestly, I see where someone complained about this too, but for Sam, this was perfect. A kennel is a high stress environment for most dogs. This was perfect in that it was a quieter set up-just because a dog is put here does not mean they are checked on any less. We were welcomed to leave him with home items (I am a ridiculous dog mom, so I brought his bed, blanket, raised food bowl, food, medications, and a dog ice cream for each day) and check in on him by phone (which I did). When we got back to pick him up, she had moved him closer to her (since he has a little anxiety about being by himself). For a young dog with a lot of energy, this may not be the place, but for a senior dog, Lisa’s is perfect.
I left my 2 dogs with Lisa for 5 days. My fur-babies are both seniors, one is almost 21 and the other is 14. I had never boarded them before so this was a new experience for them. I was especially nervous about leaving my older dog, as he is blind and deaf. I was able to tour her facility before making my decision. Lisa made me feel comfortable and I knew they would be very well taken care here.I was very pleased with the cleanliness and her true compassion and professionalism. She answered all my questions and I felt really good about it. I was able to call and check on them and she was always very nice and let me know how they were. Five days later, when I picked them up, I couldn’t be happier. They were given the utmost care and love, that was obvious. I definitely recommend Bed & Biscuit for quality dog boarding with someone who will most certainly care for your dogs as if they were her own.
Lisa is very nice and knowledgeable about dogs. She cared for our furchildren like they were her own. We have an anxious GSD and he went willing to Lisa and did not get scared. We worry because he feels like he has to guard everything but he was safe and comfortable at Lisa's Bed and Biscuit. Our pups shared a suite because they get along. The suit was clean, spacious, and even had a patio. 😃 We have already scheduled another stay for them!
My first experience boarding my dog, because my dog does not usually have exposure to many dogs. He dislikes large dogs due to being attacked. Lisa ensured he was not placed directly next to any larger dogs that would trigger him for the stay. I liked that she offered 1 on 1 play time as my dog is also a loner sometimes and does his own thing. Out many times a day in a spacious area of the property. We were able to bring any of his items to make him feel comfortable. Will use again.
I’ve been bringing my German Shepard here for over a year now. Lisa and her staff are great with him! I’m so grateful I found this kennel. Highly recommend Lisa’s!
My dogs been here few times now and I know I don't have to worry about them at all. Lisa is so nice with all pups. My dogs feel pretty comfortable with her. I couldn't have asked for a better place for them
I’ve always had a great experience there. Got a sweet six-year-old female German Shepherd there today.❤️
Janis is like a second mother for our 2 year old GSD. Whenever we have to go out and Archie can't travel with us, we feel confident that Archie is safe and happy at his second home.
I trust Janis with my fur baby. She is very knowledgeable on dogs, really all animals! My girl loves coming to see her. I would highly recommend.
We’ve been using Highland Oaks for over 10 years. Nearly my entire neighborhood uses this Kennel. I cannot recommend Janice (sp?) more! Absolutely amazing.
Janis is wonderful with dogs. Her decades of experience clearly shows with the way she handles all the different types of dogs that she cares for. Highly recommended!
Janice is a friend of ours and she also takes care of our two dogs when we travel. We will continue to take our dogs there because of the care and attention they get from Janice.
I highly recommend Highland Oaks. I would never leave my precious pup with anyone else other then Janice.
Great place to board your dog. Owner is very nice and friendly.
Wonderful location for boarding! The owner takes a special interest to make sure your pet is happy.
What a lovely place for your dog to hang out while you're on vacation! Great home away from home!!
Dexter is our 1 year old+ baby. He is a Mountain Curr Dalmatian mixed with high energy. The staff knows how to handle those particular breeds. He takes a 15 minute break every hour to calm him down, we use that same technique at home with great results.
I was so grateful for the staff (especially Rachel) that provided a personalized care for our dog and kept us up to date on everything with our dog. They were so accommodating when we ran into issues while on vacation and running late for pickup. It truly made me believe that the staff really cared about the dogs and their families and that they’re not just a business that only cares about the bottom line. We’ll definitely bring Milo back for boarding and daycare needs.
I am extremely disappointed with Dogtopia and feel compelled to share my experience. First and foremost, the way they treat their employees is appalling. The management is a complete mess—poorly organized and seemingly indifferent to both staff and dogs. The facility is overcrowded with dogs, far beyond what the space can accommodate safely. There aren't even enough crates, forcing them to improvise in ways that seem unsafe and uncomfortable for the dogs. The worst part is how they handle the dogs' basic needs. They allow the dogs to pee and poop inside the room rather than taking them outside for walks, leaving the employees to clean up the mess. This is not only unhealthy for the dogs but also unfair and unsanitary for the staff. It adds unnecessary extra work that could easily be avoided with proper care and attention. On top of all this, they are severely understaffed, which only exacerbates the problems. It’s clear that Dogtopia doesn't care about the safety or well-being of the dogs or their employees. I would strongly advise anyone to look elsewhere for dog care. This place is a disaster!
We just started coming to Dogtopia in Fredericksburg and you can tell the love right away. They are a franchise and this one is a cut above the rest. Our dog loves it and they have great structure set in place to keep the dogs safe, happy, and even have activities planned like the doggy art in which our pup did a painting by licking peanut butter off a ziplock which had a canvas with paint on it. He loves spending time with the dog coaches and his doggy friends.
We take our girl to dogtopia and she LOVES it there. She doesn't want to go home when I pick her up 🤣 I love that they have cameras for you to watch and they always doing a fun event. They have boarded my dog once, no problems. I would highly recommend this doggy daycare to anyone.
The staff are all so great and love my dog like their own. The prices are high but worth it every once in awhile
My four year mini schnauzer was well taken care of and happy while boarding at Dogtopia. He met other schnauzers and enjoyed playing with his new friends. I recommend Dogtopia in Fredericksburg, Virginia to all dog owners.
Treats employees badly as I have seen interactions with associates. The facility is often over extended and places employees in harms way as they are understaffed. I have witnessed that there is not enough space for dogs and often run out of crates. I would rather go to smaller facility where the dog is not just the almighty dollar... Addition: to response .... I didnt expect any less but snarky lack of accountability response . People are able to see with their eyes and hear interactions ... It is truly not a shocker that you brush off any unfavorable feedback! Try checking your database again ... As a business person maybe try being respectful and kind to others it goes along way to customers and associates. I provided honest feedback sorry it may have been a little too much for you :( I really dislike bullies and I think its important to highlight those experiences to improve .
My 2 year old goldendoodle comes home relaxed and tuckered out and the staff is great at providing updates and I trust that they provide him with support and attention while he is in their care.
I have been to a few different dogtopia franchises and this is by far the best location I’ve been to. We moved here from CA and my boys love it! They are so caring and attentive, which is not always the case. I love that they have so many events through the week to tire the pups out. I have 2 very high energy boys (goldendoodle and lab) and there’s never a day they come home and are still insane lol. Pickups are VERY busy, but organized. Drop off is easy and fairly seamless. The team is communicative if anything happens.
I have boarded my dog here and take him to doggy daycare a couple times a week. I believe he absolutely loves this place because he is sad when he doesn’t go, and when he does go he is extremely excited. Everyone there is really nice and care about the animals. I HIGHLY recommend this place due to the following: friendliness, cost, cleanliness, communication, staff, and the facility. I have absolutely no gripes about this place. I trust them with my baby.
Our dog loves this kennel. If you are not thrilled by the high prices and unnecessary frills of other kennels, Four Paws is just what you need. Our dog is always super happy when we pick her up. The staff are very friendly and you can tell they really love dogs.
First time at this location. Furbaby is a regular at Richmond and the care for him here for overnight was great and seamless given he is in the network already. This location is tucked away but is newer it appears and the staff is great just like in Richmond. Kudos to the social media posts.
I love the staff! My rescue dog was anxious and apprehensive around other dogs and unfamiliar people but with the time and attention she's received from their compassionate staff she's transformed into a happy outgoing dog.
Do not let your dogs board here! My husky stayed there from Sunday until Friday and when she was was picked up she had sores all on her nose and she is not acting like herself she seems very traumatized. I was informed the day before that she tried to get out of her cage breaking it in the process and that’s how she got the sores but when I asked for pictures of the cage I was told by amanda, the manager, that she would send them to me. 2 hours had passed and I called back to see what had happened and I was told she was in the bathroom but she would call me back and 30 mins passed and still no call and when I tried to call no one answers. For your dogs safety I REPEAT DO NOT LET YOUR DOG STAY HERE! How did she tear up a cage or even begin to tear up a cage without anyone noticing?
i've boarded my dog here for at least a year, perhaps coming up on two. he loves this place deeply, as soon as he sees the staff it's like his parents don't exist anymore with how excited he is to see them. my dog had a sudden, serious medical episode while being boarded. as terrifying as the ordeal was to deal with remotely, 4paws didn't just go above and beyond for me -- they moved mountains. amanda and camden, two employees, leapt into action and took care of my dog as if he were their own. they drove him to multiple vets looking for an opening, eventually going all the way to richmond's emergency vet because that was the only option with capacity that day. those two stayed with my dog in the emergency vet for well over 12 hours total (well into the next morning), with constant communication and photo updates of my dog the entire time. they both also had an impeccable positive attitude throughout the entire ordeal, which made me (and my dog too im sure) stay calm. even the vet commented on how comfortable my baby was to be with those two, which was great to hear even though i already knew he loves them. amanda and camden are the absolute peak of pet care professionalism, leadership, and most importantly, pet health. i will forever be grateful to amanda and camden for their dedication to making sure my dog was safe and healthy regardless of distance and time consumption. 4paws treats their clients' pets like their own children and i will always owe them more than i can ever repay for being there with my baby when i was states away and could not be there myself.
They rejected one of my dogs all because of her breed. She is a pit mix. But she is the sweetest dog ever. Wish people and places wouldn’t judge just by the breed🤦♀️ …
We needed 4Paws to give our dog meds at a certain time before our arrival to pick her up, so we called when on our way there. Had to leave a VM because there was no answer. Rather than having to wonder if they got the message and gave her the meds, Ashley (sp?) called us back within a cpl mins to confirm both receipt of the msg and the passing of said msg to those who give meds to the dogs. Thx, Ashley, for making it so that my wife didn’t stressbox, wondering if our dog got the meds she needed.
I have been taking my dogs there for boarding and daycare. Their staff is always welcoming very friendly They take care of my dogs like they were their own. I truly appreciate all their efforts and caring they put into what they do every day and for my dogs. I highly recommend this place.
We adopted a 10 month old Beagle who's energy was out of this world. The first day of Doggie Day Care was amazing The staff greeted him with love, checked on him when I called and gave me a report when I picked him up. He is happy to be there and it is because of the staff and his new dog friends. Even our new vet said this was a good place.
Our three dogs have been there twice now, I think they actually like being there, a little vacation of sorts from us. I can tell they are well cared for, Jax even got a bath and comb out last time. Thank you for taking such good care of our babies, they are looking forward to their next visit in May.
Our pups love going to Paw Palace! Leigh and Karl are wonderful and treat our dogs like they are part of their family. They keep us up to date by texting and sending pics while the pups are in their care. We highly recommend Paw Palace for your pup’s needs.
Sierra is treated like family at the Paw Palace! It is so comforting to know she is in caring hands when we can't take her with us! Thanks, Leigh & Karl! ☺️
We had an sudden out of town event and they were very accommodating, it's our Bentleys second time there, very pleased and happy
Staff is friendly Pups always come back home well fed They do not stink Clean coats and clean paws No coughing And pups seem really happy when getting dropped off and picked up. I would recommend this place ! 10/10!
My 3 year old intact male Rottweiler loved his week long stay at Dunrovin, we called a few times to check on him and were happily updated on his progress. The true testament was him not being ill after his stay- first time that has happened! We're so glad we found this place!
We were horrified with this place for our dogs. I am not sure how they have a license to run a kennel. Dirty, stinky, property was not cleaned. Inside the kennel food were scattered all over the places. This place reminded me of an animal cruelty place. They offer the cheapest price in the area that is the only plus.
The woman who runs it seems nice enough, but this place is NOTHING like the website. The entire property is very overgrown, and the shed/kennels the dogs are in is... dilapidated. Theres really no other verbiage to describe it. It's rusted and leaning, covered in 8' weeds surrounding it. Our dog reeeeeked when we picked him up, and he was filthy with burrs stuck all over him. Ive used multiple boarding facilities, and have never had anything like this expereince. I knew immediately that this was not the place for us, but it was the morning of vacation and I made the very wrong decision to go ahead with leaving him. He's normally very outgoing and friendly, and when I picked him up, he was shaking, cowering and definitely traumatized. I also found out theyre kept in the cage the entire stay, never even being walked. I hate to leave a review this negative, but it was truly so bad that I dont think they should continue to board dogs in this facility, unless there are some serious upgrades to the structure, and potentially the care given.
We always bring our doggos here. They always take good care of them when we are out of town. Looks like they're closing at the end of 2024. 🥲🐶 …
Lost Millies identification and rabies tags. Owner just said well I don't know, they erred on collar when I dropped her off and should never have been removed! She reeks and can't get to groomer for 2 days!
Best place in NOVA to board your dog!!! I like that they take intact dogs. They also don't care if your dog is aggressive. Safe environment with true dog lovers. Family owned for 50 years!!!
Our dog does very well here. The family is great and takes super care of our big dog. Highly recommend!
I have been a long time customer of this kennel and up until now, have been a avid fan. Something has changed in the last year. Got my dog back after a week... she lost 15% of her body weight, clearly hadn't eaten for days and was so de-hydrated I had to take her to the vet for help. I don't understand how the kennel wouldn't have noticed and at least called us.
Wouldn't trust my dog to anyone else. Great service, kind people. For short and long term stays, there's no where better for your pups.
We recently boarded our six-year-old Mini golden doodle and five month old Mini Bernad doodle. Needless to say they had the absolute best time! We received daily photos of all the dogs playing. Highly recommend!
Our normal boarder was unavailable and we were referred to Pawsitively Purr-fect through the grapevine. Our dog loves other dogs but has been reactive with some other boarders, so finding a new option at the last minute was a challenge. Jacki & JR were the best we’ve worked with, no contest, and have become our new go-to for boarding & daycare. They checked his veterinary records, showed us their home setup (which was a substantial improvement compared to our previous boarder), trialed him through daycare for a couple of days, and then kept him for a full week. They kept up his requested diet, gave him plenty of playtime and rest, and sent plenty of photos and necessary updates throughout his stay. We went for boarding in a pinch and left as new clients excited to bring him back for daycare. I cannot recommend Pawsitively Purr-fect highly enough. Don’t hesitate, just go.
Not only is the owner Jacki so, so sweet and was willing to answer any and all questions I had without hesitation, but they also take the time out of their day to send photos frequently of your pets for you to see what a great time they’re having! My pup has come home happy and worn out every time she has stayed for daycare. I oftentimes feel like she misses it on the days she doesn’t go! 😂. We haven’t boarded with them yet, but have a couple of trips lined up for the summer and have full faith that Jacki and her crew will take great care of our fur baby. 10/10 recommend!
We finally found a daycare/boarding place that we can give 5 stars to! Jax absolutely LOVES going to Jackie's! As soon as we turn on her street, he is pacing the car, ready to get out and go play with his friends! Jax barks at everyone but when Jacki or JR come to the car to get him, no barking! He eagerly jumps in their arms, ready to go! The photos sent twice daily is an added bonus! Jax is our baby, and we can leave him with Jacki and JR and feel 100% comfortable! Highly recommend!!
Dropped our 1 year old lab off for Memorial Day weekend for a three day stay. Lizzy was very reluctant to go in as all the dogs were carrying on and the gentleman who took Lizzy in had to sort of force her into the kennel area. When we came to pick her up, we had to kinda force her into the car as she didn't want to leave!!!! LOL. We received numerous pictures each day and a couple of videos that reflected how well kept the dogs are in their care. They were very communicable, pleasant and we will absolutely use them any and every time we need boarding for our lab!
I was thrilled to find this pet boarding near us for a recent trip. Having a meet and greet with the owner, Jacki, to see the facility and let my dog run around put me at ease. There is a large indoor facility lined with kennels connected to a fenced yard with astroturf and toys. I like that the dogs have free reign to go inside and outside as they please all day (except a few breaks in their kennels to eat, rest, etc.) Jacki was always very responsive via text, and she sent pictures every day (usually 2-3x/day) all the dogs around the yard. My dog came home tired, but content. I will be using Pawsitively Purr-fect in the future.
Amazing!! I really have no other words for Pawsitively purr fect pet sitting. Jackie took such good care of my dog while we were gone! My fur baby is diabetic and needs insulin twice a day. We were updated multiple times a day with Autumns status. I have a hard time trusting anyone to care for her but Jackie was amazing!
My dog, Penny boarded here and had the time of her life! I loved the daily pics and knowing that she was safe and happy. We will definitely be back! Thank y’all so much!!
My two Golden Doodles absolutely love this place! My husband and I also love how they care for our dogs. When we are on the go.It’s great knowing and seeing my dogs are well taken care of is super comforting!!
A friend referred me to Pawsitively Purr-Fect and I'm so glad she did. I have a senior beagle and needed a place for him to board while on vacation. I was so impressed with the Meet and Greet process and tour. I was grateful for the fact that I was given a tour of the whole facility. It was clean and thoughtfully put together. They had nothing to hide, which made me trust them and feel comfortable about leaving my furbaby in their care. All my questions were answered thoroughly. Booking and paying for services is easy. My dog did great. While he was there, I got regular reports and photos so I knew he was having fun and well looked after. I appreciated their attention to my dog's special needs (and my worries.) All the staff I met was curious and friendly. They took excellent care of my boy and I know he will be a regular visitor now.
The staff of PawsCienda are absolutely phenomenal. Our puppies went to PawsCienda for training and after just four days, their behavior and focus was incredible. Both Stephen and Julianne, the trainers, are exceptional with training and follow-up with us. We received phone updates, a video, and in-depth instruction for us to continue their training. We can't speak highly enough about the PawsCienda and their service.
We have had the best experience working with Stephen, an incredibly talented dog trainer to train our littermate siblings, who can reasonably be described as Tasmanian devils all the time. Their littermate energy is INSANE! When I first met with Stephen, the first thing I told him was that I didn’t trust my dogs. Stephen trained me how to properly and SAFELY use e-collars on my pups bc I had never used e-collars on any other dogs I’ve rescued. Stephen’s patience with me was biblical, quite honestly. Compared to me, working with my Tasmanian devils was easy. I learned so much from Stephen, that I signed up for multiple training sessions. And on top of working with Stephen to obedience train our pups, we also have the pups enrolled in doggie day care at Pawscienda, have our pups kenneled at Pawscienda when we travel, and have our pups groomed at Pawscienda. Honestly, at every level of service we have always been impressed with all the staff, the philosophy that guides Pawscienda’s values and the wealth of expertise and experience they bring to not just our pups, but all the pups, kitties, and bunnies etc., entrusted to their care. We wholeheartedly recommend Pawscienda Pet Resort for all your pets’ needs. Thank you for your enduring commitment to excellence Jeff, Gayle, Stephen, Amanda, Payton, Barbara, Lizzie, Megan, Weston and all the talented and dedicated staff at Pawscienda!
Pawscienda is the nicest pet resort I have been to and I am so glad we found them. It’s immaculately clean, employees are so sweet, and my puppy absolutely loves going. Steve is an amazing trainer and I highly recommend any of his programs.
My Boarder was unavailable, so I chose this establishment, after researching the reviews. My pup is an American bully, who entered healthy on 12/7, and without a real explanation obtained a split nail to the quick! My hubby and I left for Thailand on 12/9. I inadvertently left my cell home! Upon returning to the States, a message of the injury was delivered to me. The injury occurred on 12/10, and no Vet services were obtained! I asked why, how and when the injury happened. I was told that my pup was aggressive! $451.00 was the charge! No bill adjustments, no Vet and no explanation was provided. Who was responsible for my pup from 12/7-12/18? This Ranch is, imo, the lowest form of canine care in this area. Irresponsible, unprofessional young adults should never be in charge of strong, young pups, imo! Hire a Vet and medically trained experienced adults over 30, is my advice. I will NEVER take my fur baby there again. Why am I in need of paying another Vet bill, upon leaving him in their care ? BE AFRAID! PROCEED WITH CAUTION. No conscious, no customer service, and no responsibility for my pups injury was taken by this establishment, imo! 🏃♀️ 🏃♂️ 🏃♂️ 🏃♂️ 🏃♂️ 🏃♂️ 🏃♀️ 🏃♀️ 🏃♀️ run don't walk! What a low class piece of crap this place is, imo.
My only complaint is they are too busy! It does put the burden on the owner to be more mindful of planning and scheduling grooming needs in advance. They have treated both me and my 13 yo bichon with respect and I’ve been happy with the grooming and care he’s received so far. In my experience they’ve worked with me to find alternative groomers if they can’t fit me in and do call back in a timely manner if a message or inquiry is left. They do take well defined time off during the day so check website for hours and know that during those siesta hours they don’t answer the phone. They’ve consistently finished up faster than projected and I e been able to get my dog before the mid day break.
My fur babies love everyone here, Harley enjoys playing with his daycare friends, The entire staff is friendly and make you feel welcome. I highly recommend them.
Pawscienda is the absolute best! All of the staff are professional and kind. Stephen is an amazing trainer and his assistants Julianne and Charli are amazing also! I would highly recommend his classes. And a very special shout out to Payton for going over and above to make sure our fur baby was well taken care of and loved on while he was boarding there!! Payton is the absolute best and has such a way with the animals! We feel totally confident leaving our pets with them!
This was my first time using PawsCienda. They informed me about my cat during my time away & also sent pictures. I felt completely at ease leaving her there. They seem to really care. God bless!
We can’t thank Stephan enough for transforming our dog Sully into a very well mannered, disciplined and trained dog. Stephen was so patient and kind to our family as we learned to help Sully. He is a master teacher! We highly recommend Paws Cienda. The facility is top notch! Very clean and lots of room for animals to learn and play. All staff seem happy and the vibe is so wonderful. There’s not another place like this in Richmond area. Thank you Stephen for an amazing job!!! Sully misses you already!
Always so friendly and professional! An impromptu tour of the facility was very impressive! We have used the grooming, boarding, and training services. We are always 100% satisfied! My fur baby loves to go to Pawscienda and I feel totally comfortable leaving him in their care.
Nancy has been looking after my dog and three cats for a couple of years now and she is exceptional. She is reliable and efficient, and takes the time to get to know the animals. I have no concerns about their care when I go away, she even collects my mail and newspapers, and cleans up any accidents! Nancy never lets me down and I highly recommend Tandem Tails.
We are so happy to have found Nancy and Tandem Tails Pet Sitting. She is detail oriented, thoughtful, and always goes the extra step to make sure our pets are well cared for. We love getting updates from her about how our cat is doing! My mother, who is in assisted living, could not have kept her cat without Nancy's special care in the transition of moving from one place to another. Having Nancy come to our home means Nero can stay in the place he is most comfortable, and we can travel without worry or concern. She is the best!
Nancy takes great care of our 3 boys. They all adore her and I love that she spends so much time with them in the yard. I have utmost confidence in Nancy, knowing I can depend on her to be here on time. Trust is so important in dealing with someone who takes care of your fur kids. I trust Nancy and am so glad we found her! I can't thank you enough!
I highly recommend Nancy to any pet owner looking for a reliable, professional, caring and loving pet sitter. Our dogs and cat are always thrilled to see her. We are very lucky and grateful to be able to leave for extended periods of time and have a peace mind knowing that our pets are in good hands in Nancy's care.
Tandem Tails Pet Sitting is AWESOME! Nancy provides a reliable and caring service for our dog. I never worry about him while we are out of town because she treats him as if he was one of her own.
We loved the service Nancy provides. We have never boarded our dogs and cats ever. We have taken them with us on vacation or had family members come in from out of state to watch them. So taking this step was pretty concerning. Well with the initial introductory visit and the many questions about the service we decided to go for it. The feedback via text and pictures while we were gone were very comforting. We could see our dogs and cats warming up to Nancy and becoming very comfortable to her frequent visits. Once we were home Nancy came by and you would have thought Nancy was a family member to them. We are looking foreword to a bit more freedom of travel now.
Nancy is great! Very knowledgeable and, experienced and reliable! Highly recommend!
Nancy always returns my calls promptly and takes great care of my dog!
